Review #455 November 30, 2023 Dzien' dobry To My Polish Friends Near & Far (Anna in NY) I am so pleased to finally review this large Polish business located on Mound Rd. in Sterling Heights. Srodek's family business started in 1981 in the heart of a Polish community in Hamtramck. They still specialize today and focus on Delicious Polish and European food traditions. They use the fresh cuts of meat and with their ingredients for flavor. There's a Delicatessen, Condiment Area, Aisles of groceries and pottery plus clothing and apparel throughout the store. The employee's are helpful and the store is always organized and clean. Love the daily FREE Samples too. (Photos attached of course) I have a system to shop at Srodek's 3 to 4 times a yearly for holidays, and when I get my SpecialK cravings to buy, cook and enjoy a Polish Meal at home. Both My deceased parents were 100% Polish therefore I am 200% ! :-) Since this location opened, I will always shop here for my favorite foods, cookies, jars of sides, fresh lunchmeats and sausage, pierogi frozen or refrigerated and Polish candies too! When I walk inside I feel like I am in Poland. Sometimes I will look for Maddie to chat with who is the Owner and Manager of her Famous Family Polish Business. Hours: Monday - Friday 10 AM - 6 PM Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM Sunday Closed - Day Of Rest... They so deserve! :-) All My Photos attached are from my visits of shopping here at Srodek's Quality Polish Food Store. I have also attached photos of the Polish meals and tasty dishes I have created like my parents did years ago. I am Proud To Be Polish & Proud To Cook With Fresh Items from Srodek's ! Smaczne I say "Dziekuje" (Thank You) to Srodek's for this new Polish location and also for reading My Polish Princess / SpecialK Review !

Srodek is a Polish grocery store . We ordered meats, chips, and deli items. There was free samples so we tried some. We ended up getting the Strawberry fluff as our son loved it. As of this review, (June 2022) there is construction so getting there is a little challenging. Srodek has a private parking lot. The store is clean and the staff members are helpful and friendly. I would recommend Srodek if you are in market for Polish food. They have two grocery stores the other location is in Hamtramck.

I first tried Srodek's pierogies in 2016, I believe ... someone I knew who was living in Hamtramck at the time brought me some. A friend brought me some from the Hamtramck location last week and this week since I have some spare time I decided to check out the Sterling Heights location; it's only about a 15-minute drive from my house. First off, pretty much ANY type of pierogi you want is here. I ended up buying the potato, garlic, & chives kind - this was the kind my friend brought me last week but it was mislabeled, and I think was farmer's cheese instead (but was delicious) - as well as blueberry pierogies for breakfast or dessert. I also got some of the kolaczki pastries/cookies, some raspberry ones, and I just had one and that was amazing too. I looked in their candy aisle for some Polish candies that a neighbor gave my parents once (gummies/jellies covered in chocolate) but unfortunately could not find any; instead I ended up buying a hazelnut bar for 79c. I didn't think they had shopping carts here but they do have them - it's to the left of the door when you walk in. All employees were wearing masks. The store was smaller than I thought it would but but they do have a huge selection of pierogies as well as other things like jarred items (pickles, etc.), and a deli counter. Some pierogi flavors I saw: -Literally any type of potato flavor you want. -Farmer's cheese: with or without sugar, with vanilla flavoring, etc. -Dessert/breakfast ones: cherry and blueberry -Cheeseburger -Pizza -Breakfast pierogi And you can read the full list on their site. Something to note: all pierogies are in a freezer case, so if you were planning on cooking them right away, you will have to let them defrost. There was a lady shopping near me that said she was surprised about that. I think it was about $5.49 for a 7- or 8-pack of pierogies, or you could do $7 for a dozen, which for handmade pierogi is a fair price, too. The kolaczki were also $5.49, which is more than what I was expecting, but like I said, they are ridiculously good. Definitely recommend this location and maybe at some point I'll finally check out the Hamtramck location in-person too. Ample parking and easy to get to off of Mound Rd.

Review #493…read more Saturday 8-31-2024 Oh My Smaczne = Delicious in Polish Of Course! What took Me so long to write a Review for this well-known and Local Family Business with Butcher Quality Meats that I shop at so frequently plus back in March of 2021. (SEE My Past Yummy Photos of Cooked Meats and Pierogies!) The store is always organized, clean and stocked well with hundreds of items to shop for The smells of hot food cooking to buy for lunch or dinner TO GO is Yummy Fantastic when local residents stop in for Carry-Out. When I'm craving and in the mood to cook Polish recipes from My Parents, I enjoy shopping in this Traditional Polish and European Food Store. Founded in the early nineties, with a market in Hamtramck already this Sterling Heights location has been my go to being a Polish Princess Queen Of Cooking thanks to My parents and My 200% heritage. All the photos attached will show the many areas of this store with quality meats, breads, hot foods to go, produce, imports, lunchmeats, many canned goods, jars of flavors, frozen or fresh pierogies, kielbasa, There's a large selection of Polish candies and sweets too. Chill Out and Walk in their Deep Freezer Area to buy their monthly priced custom Meat Bundle Packages or chilled meats in smaller packages to go. Oh Yes I have enjoyed them especially the one with extra chicken and ribs and a FREE 10# Bag of Potatoes which compliments a few dinner meals. They advertise in the Macomb Daily with meat specials and bundles for 2 weeks with sale prices in effect. Check out this weeks till Sept. 7th. Bozek's Market is located on Van Dyke Ave and 19 Mile Rd. in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Hours: Monday through Saturday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Note parking is in back and so is the entrance door to their store. Phone: (586) 991-0135 if you need to check on a special item or place your order ahead for a Bozek's Bundle too. I don't speak Polish but the several hard working family and friends certainly do here, especially when happy local shoppers come in to chat. :-) If you can't make the drive to Hamtramck to shop for their many favorite POLISH DELIGHTS, then shop here in Sterling Heights for your recipe ingredients. I certainly do when I make and cook My Many Polish Traditional and Smaczne Meals! Thank You Bozek's Market for helping my culture, cravings and My Polish Personality Cooking at Home! May All Viewers Enjoy My Meat purchases with preparation and SpecialK Cooking in Macomb Page of Smaczne Meals! Sincerely, Na Zdrowie, Dzien Dobry To All! Karen N.
