Road trip tonight to try M29 based on an Instagram review we saw. Interesting drive seeing areas we have never seen. We decided to order what the reviewer sampled in his review, perch reuben sandwich (not on the menu but they will make it) and fish and chips. Wanted the chili also but was told they stop making it when the weather gets warm. Not sure what the difference is between eating chili or any hot soup when it's warm out but oh well. The fish and chips were very good but the real winner is the perch Reuben which was great. Fries were good on the order of McDees as the Instagram reviewer said and unsalted leaving the diner to salt to their personal preference .....great idea actually. All the employees were very nice. If you find yourself in the area or feel like a drive, M29 is definitely worth checking out. read more

I took a little trip to New Baltimore. After I was done there (the town is very small & there's not much to see or do), I drove around a bit. I saw the M29 diner and decided to stop. What a cute little homey place! The server was very friendly. I had the M29 salad and fries. The presentation of the salad struck me as very nice, and there were more fries than it seemed. I took half of each home -- as well as a German chocolate cupcake. The prices were very reasonable as well. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! read more

The knock that I have about this Diner which 100% turned us off was the customer service/waitress we had. Asked for sweetener for my drink about 5-10 mins later I received it after asking for it. Meal came with toast, didn't receive it when asked she brought toast (no butter no jam) just toast. Delicious food in a very friendly clean well appointed small restaurant. The Belgian Waffle is FANTASTIC! Huge and oh so awesome. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the hasbrowns - oh my! The wait staff never left us to see the bottom of our coffee cups and they were happy all the time we were here. The place is super busy so you may need to wait but its worth the wait. It is rather small and they only have one table for a group it seats about 8. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and smelled wonderful. read more

We love coming here to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. All meals are very good. Prices are good too. Large portions. The wait staff is very attentive. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Just make sure they are open as they have varied hours of operation. read more

Stopped here upon the recommendation of a local before attending a meeting in Ira. I asked my server for a recommendation for a light meal, and she suggested a 1/2 Reuben sandwich and a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup was homemade and delicious, the grilled Reuben was one of the best I've ever had anywhere with warm, deli-sliced tender corned beef, with sauerkraut and a wonderful Thousand Island sauce on the side. The food was terrific, the service prompt and thoughtful. I highly recommend it. read more

The M29 Diner is one of those hidden gem's. We decide to check out the M-29 for lunch. The reviews on yelp show the diner as a great place to have lunch. I had the M29 specialty diner the Mexican omelette. My wife had their half/pound hamburger. While waiting for our meal we could the diner was kept spotlessly clean. They had gone about and beyond the Governor's covid rules. My mexican speciality omelette was massive. My wife and I could both ate the dish. There would of been some leftover. The chill sauce do the right amount of spice. Just enough to let you there is some heat. But not overpowering. The two eggs on top had been cooked to perfection. Over easy the way I like them. My wife hamburger was cooked well done. The meal was fresh and tasty. The M29 is a 5 star diner. read more

Average family restaurant. Nice waitresses. Fair prices. Cramped seating. When the M-29 Diner first opened it was great, however it seems to be going slowly downhill. My biggest complaint is the inconsistency and quality of the food served. Some days it's prepared really good, other days it's a Gordon Food Service mess. Roll the dice for your M-29 salad or omelette. Pray you get a good one. Avoid the appetizers, they are over-priced frozen baubles. Don't fall for the last-minute 1/2 BBQ chicken dinner special. That's code for old chicken that's gonna get thrown-out soon. Based on the food inconsistency and frequent Cooks Wanted signs posted out front, I suspect they can't keep a cook very long (or sober). Overall, a decent choice, though not a first choice. P.S. It fills up fast here, especially when the church next door lets out. read more

Definitely a diner I would consider a top 10. Olive was our waitress, she was awsome. Great food (I had the meatloaf) huge portions, very clean, very friendly, great prices. My new favorite spot. The aroma of the French toast that just went by me and the coffee they were pouring in my cup made me think of one thing! Home A good home feeling you get when you walk into this adorable place! Thankfully I live across the street and my husband loves to get it to go! But this was our first time we have been inside...in the year that we have lived over here! Fantastic food fantastic staff! Newly remodeled diner is fantastic. The service is really good and the food is amazing. I have been here 5 times now and will continue to go back. They serve breakfast all day and have a nice menu. Super cute diner, we were pretty impressed. Very good at what they do. The Waitresses were very attentive. Great club sandwich, bacon done just right. What I love most is they aren't trying to be anything crazy, just the best diner they can be. Also seemed to be a lot of homemade, not just warmed up food. I wasn't in the mood for soup but another table ordered some and it looked great. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it is a simple diner, but there is nothing they need improving on. I've been to this diner few times over the years with different owner.... Totally amazed how the new owners transformed this diner... ITS SPOTLESS, Decorated very nicely, the Food very good home cooking. and the wait staff is right on the ball ..they all seem to work well together. We had a party of 6 and everyone was quite satisfied with their meal. They new owners are also offering home made deserts that I found to be quite good and all their prices are very reasonable. They should do quite well with just word of mouth exposure . I definitely will be back read more
