I tried to email the owner via the website but it wood not allow me to so. A separate issue is the horrible conditions on d the showers . The cleaning guys in the morning are awesome; however, managements needs to fix the shower heads and shower handles . How the hell are we supposed to work out ,shower and go to work from there when several showers are not working . I've been a member for about ten years but I am considering canceling my membership.

Another random thing that I like about this studio is that we can keep our shoes on. Most places want you to take it off, which i'm not fond of. The lights and music makes it feel like it's a party. For each class, you start off with a warm-up, either jump rope or running laps, then other various exercises like burpees. Then you go on the bag for a bit, then partner up, do some drills, then finish with abs and stretching. It's always a challenging workout and it changes every time i come. It's funny because they offer a shot of tequila after class. I don't drink but i know it can be an incentive for people!

For being 65 years old you would think he'd be more respectful of people and the rules of the place he works at. I'm not sure if there are different rules at the other gyms he trains people at, but I would expect he would follow Equinox's rules. **Update - Today I asked again to work in Rico on the squat rack and he again said no. He said he had 2 back to back clients where he was going to use the squat rack and I couldn't use it. He told me that the Equinox VP says he doesn't have to let anyone work in with him. He then threatened to get my membership revoked today and proceeded to call me childish for asking to work in. Rico proceeded to hog the platform squat rack for over an hour even though he was done using it with his 1st client so I couldn't squat on it. I don't understand why he's the ONLY Personal Trainer I've had threaten me multiple times and not let other paying members use equipment during busy times. I have to admit it did transform her, I was hesitant to join because I already had a free gym membership at my place of work at the time. Why would I spend if I didn't have to, right? Wrong!!!! It was by far the best one I have ever purchased. Quickly I saw how people had transformed their lives here and I knew I was in. It helped that my wife had previously joined and its pretty close to our house. I was still stuck in some ways so I can't say I was super committed. I knew I had wanted to push myself physically and mentally, however it wasn't until the 6 Week Challenge in January that I had to go all in. I lost 18.5 lbs!! Started at 201 and ended at 182.4. I've learned things from all of the great coaches here working with all of them over the years. Currently I'm working with Coach Bryan, a professional with an undefeated record! They have great kids classes too which my son has participated in and enjoyed! It's affordable, and they adjusted my membership to fit with my schedule. They have two rings, plenty of bags, and a freeweight area. Oh and also a large MMA room. I most enjoy the camaraderie, respect and equality amongst everyone there. Boxing is an international sport and that is evident here as I've met people from all over the world here. I've made new friends working out with and sharing the ring with. We have FUN!
