An absolute vibe! I just didn't want to leave! From the service to the food to the interior design, I love everything about Marcus Live! The only thing I would say that I hate is I hate that I didn't do it first. It will be always be my first and second choice to dine, can't wait to go again. Must trys: EVERYTHING! The lamp chops are beautiful, my favorite drink is Honor & Orchard is a stand out! Speaking of standouts the service is impeccable, my waitress Joyce was amazing and my hight compliments to Ernest the executive chef!!

Went for a large group dinner. There were 8 of us in total. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and drinks. If you're ordering apps to share, be aware that you may need multiple orders as the servings are not conducive to large groups for everything. We anticipated it would be pricy due to its location. The menu was diverse enough for everyone in our group to find something. They also take reservations which was a huge plus. Our server was friendly but not very attentive. If you're understanding of tourist area pricing, it's worth stopping in.

I decided to get dinner at this restaurant! I parked in one of the nearby lots and walked in and found the restaurant inside the American Dream mall! I was greeted and sat at one of the tables. Sue was my server and she was super nice! I ordered: Vodka Martini Hot Honey Margarita Deviled Eggs Rasta Pasta with Shrimp Crispy Chicken Sando Simply Grilled Lamb Chops Fire-Roasted Four Cheese Mac The cocktails were great! My favorite was definitely the deviled eggs. All in all I had a good experience!

Upon entering we were seated in a preferred area as we wanted to watch the football game. We did have to ask a few times to get the TV channel changed. This was a Sunday around 2:40pm ish. The restaurant wasn't packed but parties were seated throughout. Our server Tearia was also the bartender. I did have to reminder her about water but she let us know that she was on double duty and we could definitely tell she was busy at certain points. The MAIN reason I'm not doing 5 stars is because when we attempted to order the calamari appetizer and branzino entree we were told it was out of stock. It would've been best to know before hand because we were set on those dishes. But with Tearia's suggestions we pivoted. The wings were phenomenal, we did the everything sauce fried hard. 10/10, no notes, thanks Tearia! My lamb chops were cooked perfectly but I feel for a $45 the dish it should've came with more of the puree underneath (I didn't feel like I had a side). Now normally we have to instruct restaurants to cook our catfish well/fried hard but Tearia recommended we leave it as is. It was fried perfectly and delicious. We did say we wished it came with 2 pieces of fish. The vegetable fried rice was also flavorful but had a lot of mushrooms (we aren't fans). Overall a great restaurant, good for groups, and would visit again!

So many cool restaurants to try out! : )

6/14/25 (Update) We stopped in for dinner. The Hostess said it would be a 15 minute wait. We received a text exactly 15 minutes later. We were escorted to a table. Our friendly server was Rosemary. She took our order. I started out with a '22 Cab. Sauvignon in Sheep's Clothing. Thought the wine was very good. We ordered a Cali Crunch Salad and a Chicken Crunch Sandwich. The chicken tasted like it was probably sitting for a while. The sandwich came with fries. Unfortunately the fries were cold. Both entrées were just okay. We've had much better food here. The ladies room needed some upkeep. Unfortunately, I have to drop my rating down to three stars.

Dining at Marcus Live! Bar & Grille is a no brainer especially if you get to meet Chef Marcus Samuelson!! What an amazing opportunity! Stopping by for a quick bite after Al Roker's book signing and chili presentation, trying the famous cornbread, and wings. I highly recommend both! The aroma in the restaurant smelled of sweet brownies and every staff member said, oh that's the cornbread. If you can smell that all over the restaurant and it smells great, it's a must try! The wings were also so spectacular. It was crisp and well flavored. Our server Suwina was also very down to earth and made sure we had everything we wanted. Loved the visit!

Thank You to the owner(s) and staff at Marcus Live! Bar & Grill for participating in the Yelp Elite Squad (YES) Allstar experience and allowing us to visit this upscale and luxurious diner although we went casual because of the YELP event. The All Stars had the opportunity to taste an appetizer up to $20. I purchased a cornbread which was OH SO GOOD, to compliment the cornbread some type of cherry marmalade and butter to top it off. I would comeback only to eat this appetizer. If an appetizer brings a customer back, they are doing something right. The BBQ wings were big and juicy a little spicey, could definitely taste pepper unless that was just my taste buds. They did offer sparkling water. The water was the highlight as I tasted it first. WOW! This crisp effervescent beverage was dynamite, and it was very cold. I think the temperature played a pertinent part in the taste. I will check to see if there is a chain or franchise in the New York area.

Mixed feeling about this restaurant. The wings weren't all that. I've had way better and tastier wings and these just didn't give me any WoW in flavor. Even the type of wing wasn't all it's cracked up to be. It did not emboy what a true wing is meant to be. As for the drinks, it was more enjoyable than the wings.

After the Yelp Elite event: Cooking demonstration and book signing by @alrocker Hubby and I decided to stay @marcuslivebg for dinner. Hostess Mercedes was so lovely and we were promptly seated! Couldn't believe shortly after being seated, @marcuscooks sat across our table! Got my courage! To introduce myself! @marcuscooks was so gracious! To me and hubby! Thank you for the photo!! Our Server Lavendar! Was fantastic! And checked in on us throughout our dinner. She knew the menu well! and made recommendations! Loved the Pretty in Pink cocktail she recommended! Hubby enjoyed the hamburger and fries! I absolutely loved my shrimp and cheesy grits! So flavorful! Food was served nice and hot! Stole fries from hubby- simplyYummy! For dessert Lavender recommended the RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE BRULEE with house-made raspberry sauce! Wow! My all time favorite desserts crème brûlée and cheesecake masterfully combined into one magnificent sweet treat!! The raspberry sauce was perfection! I would come back just for this dessert, Well maybe the Pretty in Pink cocktail too! :) Thank you for such a spectacular dining experience at @marcuslivebg! See you soon!!

Decided to dine here after Al Roker's cooking demo/meet & greet. We sat at the bar as they were having a happy hour special for the event. I didn't do the happy hour special, but instead ordered from the three course menu, and went with the cornbread, prime burger, and the raspberry cheesecake. We happened to be there the day before my birthday so you will see pictures the sparkler in the ice cream lol I thought everything was amazinggggggggg. To drink I had the Dance With Somebody and the Lychee Cosmo. Both were 10/10. Looking forward to coming back, and experiencing some of Marcus's other restaurants!

    M'S CORNBREAD

Everyone was starving from walking so we drop in this spot. The first plus short wait time and plenty of space. There a a lot of food choices. We kicked the table off with M's cornbread....save your waiter time and order two, it's that good. The deviled eggs were decent, I've had better. They (deviled eggs) could use a little more love. Main dish you have got to try the lamb chops, hands down someone in the back was putting in work. The chicken waffles and NY strip don't sleep on. Everything was delicious and It was a good time, great fellowship and well the food was chefs kiss.

We had a fairly interesting and disappointing experience here recently during their special holiday breakfast buffet event with Shrek. The good - the food here was above average and the deviled eggs were particularly solid. Most of the buffet options were based off of some of their popular menu items so it was nice to get a good variety/sample of what they offered. The dessert with ice cream/cookie was also nice. The horrible - the service here is a piece of shit, to put it bluntly. Many of the folks who were working that morning were not friendly and many customers could tell they didn't want to be there that early. Not a great vibe when you've got lots of families there for a photo op event with Shrek. I know this restaurant isn't Universal Studios but there should still be some level of professionalism. We had to ask repeatedly to get refills on our drinks and coffee and it got to the point where the obviously annoyed waitress just simply ignored us and we had to flag someone else who seemed equally annoyed. At one point I could see a few of them talking about us in an unflattering way and that was pretty much a nice middle finger moment from this staff. Obviously there's no reason to come back to this place and there's no way in hell I'd recommend this establishment to anyone in good conscience. I will give props to the people who were handling/managing Shrek though, they were very friendly and made it a lot of fun for the kids there (they appeared to be staff from Nickelodeon downstairs thought).

I Travel for Food -- and This Spot Delivered! The food, service, and ambiance exceeded expectations. After a long drive from DC to NJ, I brought a group of five, and every dish was clearly made with love, quality, and care. The catfish tacos, crispy sweet potatoes, and glazed Brussels sprouts were the perfect combination. The catfish with veggie rice is a must-try for first-timers. Pro tip: if you're not a fan of hot sauce, ask for it to be left off and try the pub sauce instead -- especially on the fish. Vegan? The curry coconut tofu dish (not pictured) is a flavorful option. As I always say: don't walk, run. Chef's kiss!

We picked a broth and then ordered a bunch of meats, vegetables, and noodles to share. Everything tasted really fresh, and the broth was full of flavor from the start and got even better as we kept cooking. It's the kind of place where you end up trying a little bit of everything, and it's perfect for a group because everyone can customize their own bites. We also appreciated that it didn't feel rushed, even though it was lunchtime. Service was great too. The staff was friendly, checked on us often enough without hovering, and helped explain options for anyone who hadn't done hot pot before. That made a big difference, especially with a bigger group. By the time we finished, we were already talking about coming back. I definitely plan to return soon with my family, and I can also see myself bringing a few colleagues here as well. The service I found to be on the slower side especially when it came waiting for water and drinks. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful and I love their sake menu- it has so many choices!!! The food menu has a lot to offer. I do however feel like they do whatever they can to potentially upcharge the guest. For example, I honestly do not know any hibachi place that does not offer soup or give you a choice of noodles or fried rice- this place offers steamed white rice for the meal knowing almost everyone is going to pay for upgrade. All of us chose to upgrade, I wound up getting the vegetable fried rice, when my husband and two other friends got the chicken fried rice. There was another family next to us that also upgraded to chicken fried rice (about 3 of them). This place used ONE small chicken breast chopped it up into little pieces for 6 people which I thought was absolutely insane. Even with all this going on- I would be a liar if I said the food wasn't outstanding because it absolutely was- it was easily one of the best hibachi meals I have had in a long time- the quality of the steak was nothing but perfection- the rice and shrimp were mouthwatering good- and the salad was fantastic. I wish my scallops had a little more flavor but I was happy with my combo meal overall. We even ordered the Spicy Tuna Crispy rice app and it was one of the best I have ever had. My meal was also supposed to come with ice cream and they never asked me if I wanted it or brought anything out to me so that was disappointing. The show was ok- typical fried rice heart beating with onion volcano. No shrimp getting tossed into the air to catch or sake squirting though. In my opinion- food outstanding 5 star worthy, but it also needs a lot of work done before this place gets a higher rating.

However, my experience left me with some concerns--particularly around pricing and communication. We were a party of one adult and one child, and an automatic 18% gratuity was applied. This caught me off guard, as I typically see that for larger parties. I didn't initially notice it and ended up tipping on top of it, which added to the overall frustration. The bigger issue came with the meal itself. My mini ordered hibachi with scallops from the children's menu, but I was later charged $60 for the dish. When I asked for clarification, I was informed that scallops are not included on the children's menu and that the charge reflected an adult entrée. Unfortunately, this was not communicated at the time of ordering, which would have been helpful in making an informed decision. Olivia also charged me for a "fountain drink" I didn't order. I only ordered a sparkling water and pineapple juice for my child. There were also a few smaller service inconsistencies--for example, I requested sparkling water but was initially served still water before it was corrected. While the staff remained polite, I would have appreciated more transparency and attentiveness throughout the experience. Overall, while the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, I recommend asking detailed questions about menu items and pricing before ordering to avoid any surprises. For me, the experience did not align with the value received. Olivia pumped me for sure but NEVER AGAIN! I CAUTION ANYONE who wants to patronize this establishment. Extremely high prices for less than mediocre hibachi!

When I told my mom where we were going her reaction- "omg that place is still around?!? It use to be excellent back in the day!" Well I am happy to report this place is just as good today as it was during my mother's heyday. I decided to get a few oysters and clams to start off with and everything was just so fresh. As an entree the Seafood in a spicy red sauce was easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. There was a generous amount of seafood within the dish, the sauce I swear I could just drink it out of a cup and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband got the bbq ribs which I didn't try but you could see how they just slid right off the bone and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We ended our meal with some strong espresso. I enjoyed how it is a very casual atmosphere with a nice bar area that had a few TVs to watch some sports games. No need to dress to impress. The service was a little bit on the slower side but the waitress was very nice. The man who brought out my oysters, I asked him which were the east coast and which where in the west coast oysters, along with asking him where in the west coast my oysters were from and he couldn't tell me. I just think a place should just know these things is they are selling them. Nonetheless we still really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return.

My partner, our friends, and I have been to this family-owned establishment numerous times and decided to have dinner last night. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this casual vibe, we were greeted by the host. There is a lively sports bar side full of TVs and a dining room side, where we got a booth immediately by the window. Their menu has a wide array of options, rivaled only by the countless photographs and mementos that fill nearly every inch of wall space. There are many sandwiches, a half-dozen salads, thin-crust pizzas, and a substantial range of pastas. For starters, we decided on two dozen East Coast oysters on a half shell and Steamed Mussels with white wine butter broth. A side of Italian bread was brought for dipping. As a main meal, we opted for the Turkey Chili, Baby Back Ribs, Fried Calamari, Caesar salad, and Fries. The food was excellent and delicious, using the freshest ingredients. The portions were healthy. The staff went out of their way to make one feel welcome, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was Hadiyah. The price was reasonable. The Garden State's seafood scene is a testament to the state's rich maritime heritage, offering something for every palate, whether one's a regular or a first-timer. I went here on a scouting trip for a World Cup party. I had no-to-low expectations, because it…read moreseems like they are noted for the bar rather than food. Rather than sitting in the bar area, we asked to be seated in the dining area. There were a few typical bar items on the menu - burgers, fries, and chicken wings. We ordered a few things. Spicy Tuna Tartare: wasn't spicy, didn't taste fresh which wasn't a deterrent to me as this isn't a seafood restaurant or fine dining. Next time I'd pass on that. Bavarian Pretzel: amazing. Very tasty. Came out nice and hot. That rarebit cheese sauce? Oh honey that can come home with me anytime. Absolutely delicious. The waffles actually taste like funnel cake which was a nice surprise. THEN. The burger came out and that is why this review dropped. It had a small hair on the side of the plate and a closer look at the rest of the plate, you'll see a long hair on the pickle. That was disappointing but happy to have tried the place nonetheless.
