I am not typically a movie goer, but there is a horror film that piqued my interest. I got my ticket for a Saturday morning showing online. The entrance to this theater is weirdly tucked away inside the mall, with no direct access to the theater. There was construction also in the parking lot directly in front of the theater making the journey more annoying. I'm used to AMC where they have a separate person selling tickets, and a person scanning tickets. The morning I went, it was just 1 person managing both. The hallway to all the theater rooms was bright and everything was clearly listed. I didnt have any issuss watching, the swivel tables on the recliners seem huge. So you can enter the theater through the mall on the lower level or there's a weird corner entrance from the outside parking lot. You can buy your tickets ahead online or at the kiosk when you arrive. They still have a ticket taker and a large snack bar. Seats are comfortable here and they have all the top movies showing. read more

March 1/2025 noon time Today, I'm enjoying a movie with my family. It's the right amount of people. I love the upgrade. However, what I don't appreciate is my customer service at the concession stand. Now, i've encounter this young man before but this time i'm saying something about his attitude. Nothing major to keep me from coming back but enough to stand in another line, what happened to if I say thank you, you say "welcome" I'm asking this young guy about the proper lids and sizes about cups, why does my medium cup fit small lid??? ... all for the guy to never look up from his laptop?? Then he had asked me what did you say? ( blondish hair and stocky 5' 9"..?) Now the young gentleman who scanned my ticket was pleasant and normally the front is. It's just the concession area and sometimes all it takes is one apple. I love the fact that it's clean and quit. read more

My friend accidentally left her keys in the cupholder of her seat, and realized once we were in the parking lot about 5 minutes after our movie ended. We tried to enter through the doors we had left from but they were locked so we called the theater. A very unpleasant woman answered the phone and said she could not open the doors for my friend, even just to hand her the keys, insisted that was a security protocol. My friend is a 17 year old girl, with the sweetest soul imaginable. She poses zero threat to this building. Not to mention there were other movies still going on. We were told to call Mid Rivers Mall security, which we tried three separate times and each time went to voicemail. After calling the woman back she said the best they could do was hold her keys over night in their safe. Imagine if she didn't have a friend there with her, they would have left her there stranded at nearly midnight. So I start driving her home, all the while she's explaining everything to her mom, who tried calling security and finally got a hold of them. So, I turned around and took her back to the doors and we ended up waiting about 5 minutes before a different movie supposedly ended because a bunch of people started exiting. So my friend just went in then. The woman who was on the phone earlier was just walking around with my friends keys in a ziplock bag, and gave them to my friend without a second thought, no id, absolutely no confirmation they were actually her keys. AFTER, she had already gotten her keys back, an elderly man came stumbling in talking about how he needs to open the door for someone. He is not securing anything, I promise you that. She finally got to go home, and I ended up getting home 30 minutes later than I should have. Ridiculous experience and horrible problem solving from the staff. The movie was good though. read more

This theater is located in Mid River Mall. Private entrance available as well as thru mall doors. Options to pay is online (which is easier in my opinion) or kiosk in the theater. Friendly ticket takers. Open area , plenty of areas to be entertained in. Bar area which also have ample seating if you want to catch a football game while you drink. Game room with small supply of games to play. Concession with a full menu. Many choices from combinations meals, desserts, beverages etc. Pretty pricey but we know that already in 2023 . Theatre seating is great but one of our seats the cup holder was broke and the seat was not plugged in to recline. We were lucky to not have any neighbors so we just moved over, but that seat definitely needs to be fixed . Auditorium 3 row h seat 16/17. Screens were great , we saw Color Purple. Love the vibe of this theater since it's been renovated! Super clean and modern vibes to it now. I had very little interaction with the staff but what I had have when scanning the tickets was good. The theater was clean and video and audio quality was great as well! I love how they have a seating chart outside the theatre too so you can see how full the movie is. read more

Nice movie theater since they remodeled. The women at the counter was not friendly never smiled and was very short. Maybe she was tired. However she did get us our stuff right away. The lobby was very clean. The bar area was also very clean and they had large TVs to watch the games. The menu is very large they offer wraps, pretzels, burgers and much more. read more

A terrific experience after the renovation. The ticket window has been replaced by do-it-yourself touch-screen pads for ticket purchases. However, the employee who takes your tickets can also work you through the seat selection and payment process. Wide aisles between seats made it easy to get to our seats. I didn't miss trying to climb over knees or rubbing against other standing guests. Seats converted into comfortable loungers with foot rests, pivot snack tables, and cup holders. I accidentally walked in with a fast food drink; no one admonished me for it. read more

Ridiculous company. Stingy and broke. I dropped my daughter and her childhood best friend (both at 14) to see the Jaws movie. They walked in with a blanket and classic dollar tree snacks but had to get searched. Obviously, you technically aren't supposed to bring in snacks but with almost $20 a ticket nobody wants to pay for snacks! My daughter and her friend obviously can't drive and I was on my way home thinking it would be a easy and fun night but then I got a text saying they didn't know what to do! The workers were very unhelpful getting their seats figured out and offered no solutions to them and told my daughter to "hide it or throw it away". These kids are very kind and polite, and understood where they were coming from. They figured they could just go walk around the mall with their snacks but there were no refunds! If you are going to make somebody pay expecting that they could watch a movie, at least tell them about the food situation first. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR TICKET IF YOU BRING FOOD. They walked around cluelessly and found a kiosk to hide their snacks. Once they finally walked in, 10 minutes into their movie, it had seemed like a worker was following making sure they weren't doing anything else wrong. On 7-18-25 we purchased 3 tickets for the Superman movie. We order online to pick up at the counter, 3 meals and 2 drinks plus 2 refillable popcorns. Two of the meals came out correct. Mine was wrong twice (reel melt). The first burger, I don't even know what that was. It was a 2 huge patties drenched in sizzle sause. The second time meal came out there was no bacon nor onions on the sandwhich and the sweet potato fries were burnt. I realized they had changed the bread and kept the same burger patties. At the point was fed up and even though I was hungry and hadn't eaten since 10:30am, I didn't trust the cooks to keep sending food back. So I had my husband to just get a refund. I am extremely disappointed and angry. We spend a lot of money coming to this theater and this is what we get, some cook and front staff that doesn't care to simply make the correct order. read more

These workers were so rude. Everytime I talked to any of them they were uncomplient and just straight up mean. I will NOT be coming back. They also do no refills for popcorn even if it was spilled on accident. They dont try to hear anyone out. read more

I finally had the chance to visit post-renovation and it's so nice! The new recliner seating is great. It makes for a much better experience. The mini table comes in handy when you have snacks. It was well staffed and the employees were super friendly. My small popcorn was a birthday treat on my rewards card, which was a welcome surprise. My only minor complaint was that my popcorn was barley warm. The restrooms now have the set up with soap, water, and the hand dryer all in one spot. I like the convenience. read more

We don't usually go to this theatre because I've never been terribly impressed with it. We almost always choose B & B Wentzville, because it is SO much better, and they have a bar. Today we wanted to see the new Top Gun movie, and we decided to give Mid Rivers a try because we wanted to check out the recent renovations, which included bar service - supposedly. We went to a 3:45 show, and the bar was closed. My husband noticed that cocktails were advertised on the menu above the concession stand, so we tried to order drinks there but were told they don't serve them. Then why in the heck is it on the menu?! We asked an usher when the bar area would be open, and we were told 4:00, so we went and found our seats and came back out at a few minutes past 4:00. Still not open. Not all theaters serve alcohol, which is fine, but they really shouldn't advertise it if they don't actually serve it. And the adult beverages should not be included in the concession stand menu if they don't actually serve them at the concession stand. We should have stuck with B & B. We aren't likely to be back. read more

Every review for the Marcus Theatres Mid Rivers Mall location written before May 7th, 2021 is now invalid because that is when they had their grand reopening after a slew of renovations. Every seat has been replaced with all new DreamLoungers, there is now expanded food and beverage service, and there is a movie theatre size screen in the new Take 5 Lounge. As with all of the other Marcus locations, their COVID protocols are amazing. They have sanitizer everywhere, contactless ticket and food ordering in the app, kickplates on the doors, sanitized seats between every showing, and removable stickers on the seats to show that it has been sanitized. I'd recommend being patient if you go on May 7th or immediately after just in case it takes a little bit to work out all the kinks. read more

My cousin and I recently decided to go see Mama (I guess we like to torture ourselves) and she lives in St. Peters, which meant we needed to see the flick out there. I actually was really excited because I grew up going to Mid Rivers Mall and seeing movies at this theater, and I get all kinds of sentimental about it. It seriously was a blast from the past going to Wehrenberg 14, but I think I've outgrown this place. Or I just went on the wrong night. Let this be your warning that Friday night at this theater is completely insane. Crazytown. Taking a drive down Insane Lane. There are kids everywhere! This is going to sound super old lady of me, but I can't believe parents let their kids go out alone with friends when they're so young. Oh, and BUY YOUR TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME (caps necessary) because said kids create a very, very long line. The concession area has all of your usual favorites (and those nauseating selections of popcorn salts/flavors) but we skipped it since we just had dinner. The movie filled up very quickly, and I literally felt like I was in a middle school auditorium during a pep rally gone wrong. I saw two dramatic tweens crying over boys and I'm pretty sure a piece of popcorn was thrown at my head. Oh, and during every scary part, everyone shrieked in unison which took away from the film. The staff told everyone to quiet down a few times, but there's nothing they could really do. Moral of the story: A-OK theater, just don't go on a weekend night. I ended up at the Mid Rivers Mall Theater just because the timing worked out. Since Marcus took over Wehrenberg they have made quite a lot of improvements to the theaters but it appeared they hadn't gotten to this one yet or at all. It was pretty dingy. I'm a child of the 1980s and 1990s so obviously I grew up in malls but you know what? I'm over them. read more

$10 for a ticket before noon on a weekday?? Seats are narrow and packed together so try not to sit next to a stranger unless you want to rub shoulders. Floors are sticky. Ten minutes of ads before the previews even started. Movie started 30 minutes later than what was printed on our tickets. Some cinemas are worth paying extra for tickets because they're cleaner, better spaced, offer reserved seating and reclining seats, self service concessions or full service bars. This theater has none of that. It's garbage. Don't go here. read more

I had a gift card so we went to this theater. I was able to use the gift card for the tickets, but not for the popcorn. According to management, this is "not their problem" and I need to have another way to pay. I believe this is their problem and that this was incredibly bad customer service. read more

Bought our tickets online ahead of time. Was charged an extra fee, got to the theater and has to wait in line anyway for 20 minutes. Finally got into the show and had to separate seats. We could not even sit together. I definitely do not recommend buying online ahead of time. read more

We had a bad experience with 'Bradley'. My friend went up to the counter and asked if we could upgrade our Wehrenberg theater card for free. We are not familiar with the card and didn't know how it worked. As my friend walked away, we heard 'Bradley' say "that was a restarted question, that was so stupid." We feel offended that Bradley would say that to a 15 year old girl asking a legitimate question. read more
