I'm going to admit, I was nervous to try a new hair salon. I scheduled my appointment through Yelp messenger with the business owner, Nicolle. She listened to my concerns and understood that I had a bad experience at a previous location so she set me up with stylist Evelyn. I arrived to my appointment a few minutes early and was greeted right away. They hung up my jacket for me, offered me water, and Evelyn came to introduce herself and get my appointment started. Evelyn asked me so many great questions about my hair type, my routine, and my lifestyle. She listened and immediately put me at ease when she explained what her thoughts were on both my cut, daily routine, and provided some hair care product options that would be great for every day use based on my hair type ... I was actually able to enjoy myself throughout the entire appointment! My deep conditioning was $20.00 and my haircut was $40.00. The pricing was very reasonable, especially when you add in the adorable salon and phenomenal service. I've been to some of the mostly highly regarded salons in NYC and San Francisco and yet Evelyn and the team here have them beat. Felt comfortable and welcomed immediately and the salon itself is gorgeous and well kept. Made an appointment for my son based on the Yelp community reviews. I can't give much of a review, because my 18 year old son went by himself and his assessment was one word answers. I'll make a yelper out of him yet!!!! However, he has been to several different hair cut salons in the last year since he decided he wanted his hair cut like one of Ewan McGregor's styles (short and sort of sticking up a bit in front). He has complained about several of the places he went and thought this place was good with no complaints, so that speaks volumens in my book. I asked if he would go back here again and he said Sure - so to me his pickiness and seal of approval equates to five stars in my book. I also liked the cut and it was exactly what I was hoping they would do. And the other thing that was fantastic is that I was able to get him an appointment quickly. My son also has a habit of being like "OK, I need my hair cut right now." With him being away at college, it is difficult to schedule in advance because he never gives me any notice, whereas I am a huge planner and schedule things out in advance (working on this with him too). I switched to Salon Neapolitan during COVID, since the spot I was taking my children was temporarily closed. The stylists did a great job on my girls' hair and were very kind and patient. Since I liked their customer service and friendly vibe, I scheduled a color and cut with Alice. She's been my stylist ever since then. She's very personable and energetic and I'm very happy with her work. This is also my new regular salon for my daughters. I had my first post-COVID lockdown hair cut with stylist Alice. I'd been cutting my hair myself at home for a year and I knew it needed some help. Alice was lovely to work with. She was kind, skilled, and easy to talk to. She understood what I wanted, even though I'm not great at explaining it (e.g. "I like it fluffy"). The products they use there are high quality. I have been going to salon Neapolitan since I was a child. Nicolle is wonderful, she has done my hair color and cut probably 100 times and I have never been disappointed. When I was in high school she was the only one I would trust to do my updos for prom since I'm very picky. I have been white blonde, rose gold, chunky blonde and brown hilights and low lights, and now I have a shadow root/balayage. So many different phases of hair and Nicolle has helped me achieve them all. Not to mention she is so fun to chat with, very personable and just a great energy to be around. I guess Nicole gives a good haircut, however, the service I received from her was downright rude more than once! An example is when I was in the salon about a month after my mother passed. Nicole spent the entire time I was there for my haircut discussing her mother and reliving the angst she felt over her passing. Then when I was checking out she said that she wouldn't charge me for the therapy session - and laughed! It appeared she was totally clueless that she only talked about herself and showed no compassion towards me or my grief. I do realize that I was only there for salon services (!) and went back several more times because I am reluctant to find a new place/stylist. Looking back I thought I could just ignore how after each appointment I felt Nicole is just plain hard to be around. Finally, the last straw was at my last appointment when she showed me a picture on her phone of a haircut she was very proud of and had the guts to say to me, "Well, it's not like your hair could ever look like this!" NOPE! Life is too short to continue to be around such a self-involved person. If you go... you might want to bring some body amour for your own protection! read more

I was in search of an affordable place to get a hair trim. After reading reviews, I booked an appointment with Evelyn same day. She was very friendly, and offered a complimentary deep hair conditioning treatment along with my haircut. When she did my haircut she told me to stand up the entire time, and I never had a stylist ask me to stand for a haircut. Next, I got a blowout...I have fine thick wavy/curly hair so it can be sometimes hard to work with but nothing out of the extraordinary. She brushed my hair hard to the point where I had to tell her it hurts. My hair was repeatedly brushed over and over with the blow dryer almost frying my hair. Every hair section that didn't look straight, Evelyn would put too much unnecessary hair product into my hair to fix the "frizziness". It was quite an odd experience. I left the salon disappointed, and embarrassed because my hair looked brittle from the blowout. read more
