I've been going to Salon Neapolitan since I was a little girl and haven't switched hairstylists since. I've always had my hair cut/trimmed by Nicolle and for about 8 years I've had my hair colored, highlighted and cut. I've experimented several times with the color of my hair and its style. For my highlights, Nicolle incorporates 3 different shades of blonde and they all blend together beautifully. Since I decided to cut my long hair into a short angle-like-bob, I've received multiple compliments because Nicolle does such a great job. She has the expertise and talent to make any of your hairstyle/color visions become reality. I've always put 100% of my trust into Nicolle and her professional skills when it came time to make final decisions regarding the color and style that I had envisioned. She is truly passionate about her profession and makes every experience worth your time and money. The atmosphere at Salon Neapolitan is beautiful from the ceilings to the decorations on the wall. Every time I've gone in to get my hair cut, I've always shown Nicolle a picture of the hair style I envisioned and she has always replicated it perfectly if not better! Nicolle is very friendly, fun to talk to, and genuinely wants to make her clients happy from the moment they walk in through the salon's entrance to the moment they walk out the salon feeling beautiful inside an out. I went in 9/15 for a full highlight. It states $110 on the booking website that I booked through and in the end I was charged $192. Caught off guard with the price swap and since I had already been there for 3.5 hours, I didn't ask or want to make a scene. The itemized receipt says $35 for glaze, when booking on the website the details it says glaze is included. It also was never disclosed during the service that I would be charged additional for the color bowls either. This is more expensive and DOUBLE the time of a senior stylist the city. I have reached out to this company privately through both their Facebook and instagram. Several messages were read and went unanswered. Going forward, I would not recommend this business, not because of the services I received but the hidden fees of which they are not upfront about prior to services or while in the chair. I have included snapshots of what their booking website reads. It was my naivety, that I believed the cost of glaze which is "required to achieve desired tone" would be included in the service fee. The separate cost is not stated anywhere on their website. Sneaky sneaky I should add that I have no problem paying for a great service and I believed the lower price was due to the extended time needed. Time is valuable when you're a toddler mom. I am so happy I found this salon! It was an amazing experience and I'm already going back in a couple days. I talked to Nicolle about a bad experience at a different salon where I had asked for natural balayage and was given highlights and a full color. I explained I was hoping a haircut would help but was open to talking to someone about trying to fix the color. She was so fast and kind and booked me an appointment within the next hour. Al was amazing! She is so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I trusted her immediately and she took the time to explain what happened, listened to what I had originally wanted, and set up a plan to give me hair I could love again. It's been a long time since I had a stylist take the time to give my hair the attention and detail she did. I walked in feeling so worried and sad about my current hair and Al brought it back to life! I walked out with confidence and am still so happy a day later! This review is way overdue but Nicolle has worked on my hair for the last 4-5 years and has never disappointed! Nicolle has done short and long cuts on me as well as color and I always leave 100% satisfied. She is great about asking what I want in the beginning and obtaining feedback throughout the appointment to make sure I'm happy with the cut/color. I spent years trying and failing to find a decent hair stylist (especially one that can work well with Asian hair) and I'm so glad to have found Salon Neapolitan. In addition to Nicolle, all the staff that I've interacted with have been super nice and accommodating to my needs. Also, the new(ish) salon space is very trendy and modern. Although I have moved to different states/cities since I first started going to Salon Neapolitan, I have always come back to Wheaton any time I needed my hair done because the quality is consistently amazing! read more

I won a raffle for a free haircut to the salon, it was only valid with Emily, so I made my appointment, we talked about what I wanted and she went away to cutting. I asked for layers in my hair, side swept bangs, and for the cut to be V shaped. Well my bangs were chopped, nothing side swept about them, my layers are not even on both sides, when I straighten my hair you can literally see that my right side has shorter layers than my left!!! I am extremely disappointed and embarrassed by the cut I received! I read reviews of the salon that said great things which is the only reason I decided to use my free cut, in hindsight I WISH I had just gone anywhere else... bc now I am stuck playing a waiting game for my hair to grow out so that I can go somewhere to get this cut fixed without jeopardizing the length I want. 100% disappointed. read more

This new hair salon is impressive as you walk in. It's a little hidden and from the outside I can't say much about it except that there's plenty of parking and very easy to find. Decoration is beautiful, very clean and receptionist is welcoming. I was looking to color my damaged hair and found Justyna. She's AMAZING! She really pays attention to detail while making sure to listen to my hair needs. I have curly and thin hair and wanted to be careful to choose the right hairstylist, I can't say enough, she went beyond her knowledge and expertise. Nicole knows exactly what she's doing! I had a mess on my hands (head lol) and she knew exactly what to do. I needed a bad color job fixed and was lost as to the color correction I wanted along with shape and style. She spent 30 minutes consulting with me, showing me a lot of before and after pics of hair she has colored, cut and styled. Her staff was friendly and made sure all my needs were met. I received the best scalp massage EVER! I nearly fell asleep LOL. We talked, we joked, we laughed! What a great time with 'just the girls'!! Thank you Nicole! Today I went to Amanda G at Salon Neapolitan for the first time and it was wonderful! Everything felt very clean, sanitary and comfortable. I was hesitant to go get my hair done as I've greatly limited exposure and instantly those fears and worries disappeared. The interior of the salon is beautiful and they even have an amazing and spacious outdoor patio where you can sit out and take your mask off while your color process. Amanda did such an incredible job on my hair, it was beyond what I was expecting. I will absolutely be returning to Amanda in the future and am thrilled with the finished. Nicolle is accommodating to my schedule and always makes me look better than I am. Extremely knowledgeable, a great cut/style every time, and works with my imperfect hair making it perfect consistently. Love the salon, a great place to escape, even for 20-30 minutes. I have been to a lot of hair salons in my time, and I can say I have never been fully satisfied until I went to this one. Everything was great. The atmosphere, advice, tools, and Nicolle was great! She answered all my questions, and did a great job on making my hair actually manageable again! I walked in, was greeted kindly, I sat down in the chair right away, and I was treated like a client, not a paycheck. Absolutely wonderful. Absolutely amazing! This salon is a hidden gem! You walk in and not expecting this huge gorgeous space. I love all the staff, Justyna, Evelyn, Nicolle, Katie, Kelly, Donna and front desk staff are always so friendly and inviting. They offer holiday coffee and hot cocoa now as well as there usual cucumber water. The staff appears to be well educated as they host hair cutting classes and are top notch cutters. Love this salon and Nicole Lee! The service, level of knowledge in color and personal touches make Nicole one of the best stylists I have found. I appreciate the friendly staff all around (other stylist and shampoo girls) which gives the time spent there a friendly neighborhood feel. I had an amazing experience here! Sabrina was incredibly patient with my lack of hair knowledge and my many questions. She took time to make sure any concerns or questions I had were answered. She was very knowledgeable and did my hair with lots of care and skill. She asked if I wanted to keep my hair straight or have it curled after blow drying it and I've never had someone ask me that before. It was so thoughtful. Nicolle is the best! I've been going to her for probably 20 years. She stays up on the latest trends and gets ongoing training at NY and other places. She's great at hair styles and also a master with color. That seems to be her specialty. She mixed up the PERFECT color when I started to get my hair colored. Nicole has been my hair stylist for decades. She's a fabulous colorist and I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else! Long ago I became tired of the bigger salons with all the noise and hyper-activity.
