Not overdone. Took only about 12 minutes to be ready even at a busy time of the Sunday afternoon. They also sell dips and herb breads, sandwiches, salads, drinks, dog treats, candy, & merchandise. Cute local spot with yummy food! We got the margarita pizza, meatball sub, and cookies. The pizza is made in a wood fired oven. It tasted really good and you can tell all the ingredients were fresh. The meatballs on the sub were tender and flavorful. The sub bread had a nice crunch too. We for chocolate chip cookies and the pecan ones. Both were really yummy and soft. The pecan ones had just come out of the oven, so we couldn't pass that up. They had a good soft texture with a slight crunch. Walked in thinking it was such a cute ambiance and it was! We ordered food. I originally wanted wings but they ran out for the day so we ordered pizza no problem. I ordered an Agua Fresca of horchata. It was very sweet and everyone at my table agreed it genuinely tasted so sweet, fake like an horchata syrup or packet. BTW We're Mexican so I'd say we have a fair to good experience of tasting what authentic horchata is. I had only taken 3 sips and wasn't liking it so I politely asked if I was able to switch it out for another agua Fresca instead. And I told the cashier if not that was totally fine no worries. The cashier looked over at the owner or the older lady behind the desk for approval who I assumed was the owner and she was so rude at my request. She rolled her eyes and shrugged at my request. She then proceeded to switch my drink out with attitude and rudeness even though I said if they didn't want to allow me to switch it out that would have been fine I just wanted to ask because you never know if you don't ask. Overall, place is cute. Outdoors area is cute. Pizza was decent. But the owner or lady was SOOOO rude at my basic request for switching out a drink I thought was too sweet. The food and the service was excellent. Smaller inside with drinks in coolers, small bar menu. The 1/2 and 1/2 prickly pear and lime margarita was good. Loved the Caesar salad and kale salad. Cedars dressing was very tasty and croutons delicious, loved the thick shaved Parmesan. The kale salad was fresh and flavorful and enough to share and have some for breakfast the next day. The crust on all the pizzas we had was sourdough perfection. Chewy, crispy goodness. The pepperoni was delicious, loved the chicken pesto, kids liked bacon bacon. Looking forward to trying the meatballs next time as well as the hummus. Service was friendly and prompt. We sat outside in the garden out back and throughly e joyed our visit. We ordered our 2 pizzas (both pepperoni) at 12:10 and got them at almost 2 pm. When we ordered it, they said it would be right out. We sat there, watched people come and go, eating pizza, filling their bellies, leaving. When we asked the guy up front about eta, he was super nice, and said they were coming right out. Another 30 minutes passed, and we asked again, he said they were coming in another five minutes. We waited...and waited...and then we politely asked again after 30 more minutes passed, he said they were coming, by now, I was losing faith. I'm sure they didn't mean to forget about us, they probably lost our order, or the ticket fell, but they also never apologized or were proactive about the situation. I have worked in the restaurant business doing various jobs, one of them being pizza making, fyi...It doesn't take 2 hours. The pizzas were ok, I won't be returning. read more

The best pizza we have ever had! They don't always answer the phone calls but just go directly. There are many tables inside so it is perfect for dine-in. They also do to-go and catering. It was expensive with my add-ons (canadian bacon, basil, and tomato), but really good, and huge, packed with cheese. The woman at the register was exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Top notch pizza! Even though I live in Los Angeles, I'm writing my review after my 2nd trip to Marfa and 2nd pie at Para Llevar. I had a pepperoni pizza in March 2021 and today a zucchini and kalamata olive daily special pie yesterday in January 2022. The pizza hits on all levels... crust, sauce, cheese. Let's break it down in reverse order. The cheesiest - you'll wonder what other pizzerias are doing wrong when you bit into the ooey gooey cheesiness of this pizza - so much cheese with a perfect melt and stretch. Where do they get their mozzarella? The freshest - the tomato sauce is so fresh and so clean and so tomatoey The crust!!! The best for last... the outside is toast with the faintest highlight of char from the wood fired oven. The end crust is about a 1-1.5 inch rim which you'll appreciate as once your incisors pierce the thin crust you're rewarded with a pillowy center. read more

Casual little place with excellent pizza, salad, other dishes, local wine, cocktails, and a cactus garden in which to dine. I can't give it 5 stars, since you order at the counter and it's more of a bodega/ deli than a restaurant. The server delivered my pizza promptly. If you get here early, buy a bottle of local red, order a pizza with some creative toppings, and head around back to the cactus garden tables, I can't imagine a better place to discuss art and aliens while tossing some bits of crust to the chirpy birds. Or, if you're staying in an even quirkier place in Marfa, then provision here and carry on in your own digs. read more

Excellent pizza, made the old-fashioned way, from scratch using fresh ingredients, in a woodfired oven. So if you're in a hurry, walk across the street to Stripes and get a weenie. But if you have a few minutes and want really good pizza in a delightful outdoor setting (indoors too) this is the place for you. They have an excellent and extensive selection of beer and wine to go with it. They also have interesting cold drinks, and I suppose they have Coke and Dr Pepper as well. There's a pitcher of ice cold water and glasses to help you stay hydrated. I get a sandwich of some sort and a Greek salad there every week. The salad is made to order using fresh ingredients, and it's huge so I get the dressing on the side and make two meals out of it. They also have bulk spices and rubs, packaged condiments, and do-dads that you can't find anywhere else in town. I don't know why the place is not packed all the time. It's one of only a handful of eateries in Marfa and it's one of only two or three that are open long hours every day of the week. And it's some of the best food anywhere around. The prices are reasonable, unlike some places in town. No, I don't work there. I'm not gettiin' paid. It's just a really good place to get a quality meal. read more

This little spot has a great selection of food, sundries, ingredients and beer from all over the country. We were excited to see some Ballard Mustard from our little slice of the country (Seattle)! To give you an idea of how the place is set up: we went in because we saw some delicious looking cinnamon rolls on their Instagram. We went also expecting to grab some topo Chico's. Somehow we left with breakfast tacos, homemade queso, avocados, a few other bits, and the topo Chico and cinnamon roll. It's a place that you can go from table to table, shelf to shelf. We also ordered the chips and queso and iy tasted ok. The place offered beer and wine but we ordered some fresh cucumber lime juice and pineapple carrot ginger one. So refreshing! The pizza here is amazing!! This little shop doubles as a bodega offering gifts, cheese, and drinks. They have a board listing their pizzas - pepperoni, margarita, chicken pesto, just to name a few. Be sure to get here early because we came around 8 for a second round of pizza and they ran out of dough! This was the perfect stop to make in Marfa for a quick and yummy bite to eat. Several pizza, salad and sandwich options to choose from and you can't pass up their pimiento cheese dip either. The door was open and the place was spacious and clean inside with several spaces outdoors to eat, it's as Covid safe as you can really get. The outdoor plaza area is adorable; had plenty of seating, fire pits and a cornhole game out to enjoy. Both interior and exterior design was modern and attractive, which may not seem all too important until you look around and are finally able to take a nice relaxing deep breath after a long drive and realize, "Hey, this is nice!". The pizzas--Classic Pep & Chicken Pesto--were super yummy! I usually don't order pepperoni pizza if given the option of other choices but I saw someone else's pizza come out of the wood fired pizza oven and it looked too good to resist. My favorite place to eat in Marfa thus far. We went in for lunch and came back for dinner. My friends suggested the meatball sub and oh my gosh... probably the best meatball sub I've ever had. For dinner we got the pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely scrumptious as well. You can sit inside or even in their cute outdoor oasis filled with cacti.
