Have been here 3 times over the past couple of years. First lobster roll was absolutely amazing but since then we have found the food to be inconsistent. Latest lobster roll lacked taste. Delicious seafood prepared simply. The fried pollock was tender, tasty, and thinly battered. The shrimp was small but juicy, and not over fried. My husband got the lobster roll and it looked great. Great lobster rolls! Friendly owner in a quaint building with a beautiful flower garden. Umbrellaed tables to the side along with Adirondack chairs with table under large shade trees. A port-a-potty was available amongst the shade trees that is cleaner and fresher smelling than most indoor restaurant bathrooms. Margaret's lobster roll is fresh, loaded, delicious lobster on the grilled roll (New England split top roll). He raved about the lobster roll! I had the scallops basket. The scallops were also very fresh, not at all gritty, and not too heavily breaded. The scallops were a nice mixture of the larger scallops and smaller scallops, but they were all SEA scallops, The fries in the basket were perfectly cooked crinkle cut type. This little gem is right next to Wentworth's grocery on Atlantic Highway in Northport. All outside seating in the shade with umbrellas at each table. They specialize in Lobster rolls which were outstanding, and there choices of sausage rolls was excellent. My wife and I were vacationing throughout Maine and all the places that served lobster rolls either had long lines, no parking, and/or prices floating near $30 per roll. We came across Margaret's on the way to Acadia NP and it had only one person in line, plenty of parking, and picnic benches under the trees in the back. And the lobster rolls were $5 less than anywhere else. Well, we tried them and they were amazing! Lots of high quality lobster on a great roll with melted butter on the side. With the added fries (crisp and hot!), we were very pleased with this out-of-the way lobster shack (they also have lots of other entrees). A secret find for sure in a quiet setting. Margret's makes an excellent lobster roll for only $16 and an even better "Lazy lobster" with all the meat of a lobster in a dish with drawn better on the side for $22. We made a special trip up from Camden to try their lobster roll. I am glad we did. Even though I didn't eat this at the time I ordered it, it was still good. This place closes early (6pm.) and we had a late lunch at 3 but wanted to make sure to try this place. We picked them up and put them in the refrigerator to eat later in the evening. Even eating them several hours later they were delicious. The lobster was tender and just the right amount of everything. I am sure they would have been even tastier when the bun was hot off the grill. Margaret and her hubby were so friendly. We had a nice chat with them as they had just recently come back to Maine after being in our part of the country for the winter.
