Sadly, updating my review; this place has gone downhill. Took a ridiculous amount of time to get our food on a Thursday night sitting in the bar. Asked for napkins twice, server asked me what i wanted to drink in which i told her water & she just walked away - didn't ask my fiancé what he wanted (okay whatever). Watched two tables who sat & ordered after us get their food and finish eating before we got our food. Had to ask for our salsa and chips to be refilled. Asked for guac with my dinner- had to ask someone else for it since the waitress disappeared again instantly when she put the food down. Where was the "can i grab anything else for you?" The place is pretty nice and they've got lots of televisions running with sports, but their service hasn't been the best when I've gone. We're always seated right away, but the time we have to wait in between being seated, ordering, and getting our food is ridiculous. I've seen them seat other families after us and they get their food before us, despite us having arrived earlier than them. Had a late lunch on my first visit to the Margarita Factory and was thoroughly grateful my girlfriend chose this spot. Happy Hour drinks were a bit discounted and the food was delicious. Aidan was our server and, without directly asking or being told, realized my girlfriend was attempting to avoid meat and offered an alternate option when the rice she chose had chicken. The quality of the food continues to take a downward turn while the prices spiral up. Only a couple years ago they served good, albert no longer original authentic tasting Mexican food and the prices were reasonable for what you got. Now the food is definitely lower quality and the price hikes over that time are only justified by greed. The last couple of visits over the past several months definitely turned me off here. After coming to Mojave for three years now I must say the service and restaurant has a whole as gone down hill. On this occasion my SO and I walked in at 9pm on a Thursday night and waited for seven minutes as employees ran around past us, without as much as a glance in our direction to at least tell us they knew we were there. Eventually Mario came to us and led us around the dining area till we found a booth that wasn't dirty. There we sat talking amongst ourselves for another five minutes before we were greeted by our server Manuel. Manuel has repeatedly been our server and though he can give good service at times, it raises flags that he completely disregards my SO entirely when we dine in. It's rude and honestly uncomfortable for the two of us. Manuel came over as stated, and grabbed our order and was not seen again until half way through our meal... we had expos and bussers take care of our chip and drink refills the entire time and saw Manuel once. Manuel came by two times after our meal to refill water and drop a check off. We never saw him again. Luckily I had cash on me so I left cash, because I couldn't really stand waiting there that much longer to run my card. As for the food. It was amazing, I was starving and it hit the spot. The only complaint I have about food, the chips and salsa have not been the same in months. We will only return at this point when our craving for the juicy goodness is unbearably. Our Server was Ben and he was so personable, attentive (despite how busy they were) and checked in with our table often. We were never without a drink, chips and salsa. Ordered food for pick up and paid cash for the meal. Goy home and no fish tacos. Called that evening and was told I could pick up my refund anytime. Went in the next day to pick up refund and was told that she would get my gift card. Told her I didn't want gift card but wanted my money back. She got manager and I was told the same thing. She said she could call the owner. Came back said policy is refund with gift card only. Why would I go back. Food mediocre and lousy customer service. I finally took gift card and giving it to a homeless person to go in and enjoy a meal. read more

Looks like my review pretty much matches what everyone else has said. OK food but service is consistently not great. I've never had to wait for a seat and they are prompt to get you settled, but then you are soon forgotten or not seen. Average 5 min. wait from when you get seated to when a server comes to greet you and good luck trying to flag someone down. I have visited Mojave twice now as my family doesn't live too terribly far away and we were looking for some decent Mexican food. This place fairs between 2.5-3 stars. What I can appreciate about this place is that it's a fairly large and open restaurant with nice decor and plenty of TV's to watch sports. All day Happy Hour on Sundays and decent parking in the area. Both times my family and I have come we sat in the bar. The most recent being a "Football Sunday." Was excited there was a good amount of food listed on their HH menu at OK prices. When we first arrived it wasn't too crowded and initial service was somewhat prompt. Fast forward 20 minutes and service was beyond slow. It has actually been severely slow both times we have come. From what I can gather, they don't have enough people working the bar area. There was no bartender in the bar...only the one server whom was doing his best to accommodate gathering drinks and taking orders. Another server seemed to show up a couple minutes later but the bar was full...and there were only two people trying to do everything. Long story short we spent nearly two hours in the restaurant. And not because we wanted to. It is clear that they need to hire additional staff to accommodate on the weekends. Noteworthy food items: HAPPY HOUR FOOD: $7 for pork street tacos I felt was a little high for the small amount of meat on the taco. $5 Mexican Pizza...this was better than I thought it would be. Tortilla was still crispy despite all the gooey cheese and was overall tasty $7 Fajita Quesadilla - good amount of veggies and chicken, but so-so on overall flavor $5 Margarita - can't complain about that! $5 Jalapeno poppers - hard pass. Regular menu items: Combo meals - these are pretty good. I can enjoy both their chicken enchiladas and chile relleno. Nothing fancy but the food isn't overly greasy like some "Americanized" Mexican restaurants can be. Chips and Salsa - average. Their salsa tastes really watered down Re-cap. Don't come here if you expect a quick meal or want decent service. I'd be hesitant to visit again until they hire more staff in the bar area. Not sure if service is any better in the other restaurant area away from the hustle and bustle but it was painful. Hard to flag down our server at any given time. The guy was trying and there were clearly some regular patrons there for the football game that will hang out for a bit...but two hours for a meal is kind of crazy. read more

Second time trying this place. I will say I like the drinks and that's about it. The service was awful we were seated immediately but after that things went down hill. Probably waited over ten minutes just for some chips and salsa would have probably enjoyed that except we were not offered any water to go with them while we waited a very long time for our drinks. The server was rude, and annoyed we were in there. Mojave's margaritas are delicious and absolutely my favorite. They have a great selection and use real fresh ingredients! If you like to spice up your life try The Blazin'! Happy Hour is also delish! Great prices and great choices too! Especially their coconut shrimp, chicken taquitos and carne asada street tacos. I used to come to Mojave because of the great atmosphere, delicious drinks and food! Over the years I've gotten to know some of the staff, particularly Manuel, who has become like family to me and my friends. This place has good HDTV sets for watching sports, BUT THEIR DRINKS ARE WAY OVERPRICED!!!! Ordered a strawberry daiquiri and they charged $11 and for a basic margarita they dock you $9.50!!!! In short, two drinks and chips plus queso dip was $27. Their "happy hour" ends early at 6 pm (why not 7???) and they restart the happy hour at 9. But, in the 3 hours in between, EXPECT TO GET ABSOLUTELY RIPPED OFF ON DRINKS, especially. If you are smart, ask for their non happy hour prices. Never going back, despite the nice TVs. read more
