This place is a hidden gem. The lomo is amazing! I get it every year on my birthday. So much flavor!

LOVE this place! It still remains after all of these years, with all of the large construction sites nearby. It's a mom and pop place. Nothing fancy and not meant to be. The food is made fresh and always amazing. Recommend their verde/green sauce mixed with just a tad of the yellow sauce, with their rice/beans/pupusas and so much more. Chicken and fish are great. I've moved away and always go back when I'm in town. I even get family meals packed to-go and drive it back to NC. Hope you love it as much as we do! read more

Best place to get pupusas. The owner is a very friendly lady from Peru, she took the time to show me her family. She also asked about my family. That's how you know this a local business that cares about its customers. She has been practicing her English, she is very capable of understanding your order. The pupusas are amazing with options of cheese and pork or cheese and beans. We always ask for cheese and pork but there really isn't much meat. I've been in Woodbridge over 20 years and I've finally visited Margarita's. MY BAD!!! Lol. It's a small restaurant in a 2-business "strip-mall" on Rt. 1 in Woodbridge. I was warmly greeted upon entry. The menu has quite a selection of Peruvian items. I opted for the Chaufa rice w/chicken and shrimp. You get a huge portion!!! There's easily enough here for 3 meals. I think the $19 I paid was reasonable for the portion size. And it's loaded throughout with chicken and shrimp. I'll be back to try some more items on the menu. read more

First off..Friday is $1 pupusas! Tried the revueltas(pork/cheese) and they were on point! The dough was not too thick with just the right amount of filling. Also ordered Ceviche mixto which was delicious. Good portion and fresh. Ordered pollo ala brasa but told they were out so they fried it instead. Asked for white meat and got dark. My hubby said it wasnt crispy and wasnt impressed. The yuca was fried perfectly though. So had to knock one star off for the chicken. Will go back for the pupusas and try some other dishes. read more

Love the pupusas here! The pork and cheese ones are amazing. We were lucky and when we called to place an order for pick up the woman said it's 1$ pupusas on Fridays ! They were hot upon arrival and made it home hot for the 15 minute drive. The location is a bit sketchy but don't let it deter you from going. read more

Favorite Peruvian restaurant in Woodbridge VA. Located on route 1, not a great location but it's worth it for carry out. The family has been cooking for years and they stay true to homemade Peruvian taste. Arroz Chaufa ( fried rice) a must! Also the portions are enough for sharing. read more

Authentic Peruaño cuisine! As someone whom is married to a Peruvian and has been to Peru several times, I have tried almost every kind of Peruvian dish out here in Northern Virginia and Peru. And I have to say, very authentic, rico(delicious), yummy cuisine. The staff is always super friendly. Can speak Spanish and English. Their arroz chaufa, pupusas, soupa de rez, and lomo saltado is some of the best to try if your a first timer. The restaurant is located in a small plaza. The food is a variety of Latin food. We had a several of plates, but I really liked the lomo saltado, fajitas mixtas y el ceviche which is very fresh. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Don't forget to try their chicha morada which is a traditional Peruvian drink made out purple corn. They have a variety of traditional drinks.... ask the waitress! And not to forget the alfajores are must try! read more

This is your typical Latin American restaurant, perfect for takeout and not bad for eating in. They specialize in Peruvian chicken and as well as tasty Salvadoran dishes like pupusas. They also have horchata, platanos fritos, and more. The day I went was on a Saturday around 2:00pm. The place was empty but during my 30 minutes there, at least 10 takeout orders were picked up. By the time I left, there were 2 big families eating in. The server, a lady who looked like she was in her 30s or 40s was very friendly and attentive, I think she was the owner. I ordered the pescado frito and I took half of the order home. First of all, the fish was very big, it covered more than half of my big plate, it also brought yucca, French fries, rice, beans, and salad. I give it 4 because of it's big portion sizes. I liked what I ordered and I will be back again to try more. Their horchata was perfect. read more

This is a great Latin/Peruvian Restaurant. Food and price wise, they are almost unbeatable with comparable restaurants in the area. I have been eating here 3 tomes a week for many years. All the food that comes out the kitchen is great and the portions are humongous. Most meals can be shared between 2-3 people (e.g. all soups and Arroz chaufa-peruvian version of fried rice). They are very accommodating if you want a variation of the plate you want to order. They have flavorful whole beans. Most of the restaurants in the area serve refried beans. The owner is the sweetest hostess you will ever have. Things they can improve (why I didn't rate them 5 stars): 1. Need to have napkins on every table. When they ate busy, it takes time to ask for additional napkins. 2. Have towel paper dispenser or a working hand dryer in the bathroom. 3. Rarely but they have a couple of annoying clients that have long and loud cell phone conversations. read more

You know, I really wanted to love this place but I couldn't completely. It looks sort of run down but it's pretty nice, and clean inside. The service was what got me. The waiter barely knew English so it was a little hard to understand what she was saying, but I'll keep that out of the equation for now. But she took forever to get our order. I ordered Peruvian chicken with fries and a salad while my friend chose rice instead of salad. So same thing but with different sides. So after a half an hour, we got our food. But she messed up the sides. She gave me rice instead of fries. When I bought this up, she said give me 5 mins to change it but it ended up taking 15-20 mins just to take the rice off and give me fries. I've been to other Peruvian chicken places where I got all my food in 5 minutes. However the food itself was very food. If the service was better, I'd give it a 5. I like eating in this restaurant when I come to woodbridge, I am from Arlington and I love peruvian chicken. This place has been for quite a while and their food has always been good, the service phenomenal and the prices just right. I like the family setting that this restaurant provides, it seems that it has acquired some renovations making it even nicer. Went today for lunch. Place was empty, but spotlessly clean. The owner/waitress was very friendly but doesn't speak much English. I ordered the pupusas and a side order of plantains. The food was absolutely delicious. I asked for her recommendation for a drink (they don't serve alcohol) and she brought me a chica morada (basically a chilled mulled wine with no alcohol). It was fabulous. One friend had the daily special of lomo sautido and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other friend, who suggested we eat here, had the chicken with rice and beans because it's her absolute favorite at Margarita's. I'm no expert on Hispanic food, but I know good eats when I get them. Definitely recommend it. read more

Had a great meal here. Nachos with beef was a large serving enough for 4 people. Nachos were very fresh. Husband had steak and shrimp fajitas, everything was seasoned nicely. It was served with 3 shrimp, only suggestion is that dish could use more shrimp. My meal was steak and shrimp with black beans and rice. Nice sized steak, everything was delicious. The drinks were good, they could maybe offer different sizes as the glasses were somewhat small. Gets a little busy on a Friday night for the smaller staff on hand.
