I'm always seeking new restaurants, especially those which are close to home and even more special are when they're some sort of ethnic restaurant. I love spicy foods and appreciate each Central American country's food specialties. So when I heard that there was a new Salvadoran joint in Stafford, I wanted to see how well they did pupusas. Mirna Latino Kitchen has been open over half a year now, but I just recently learned about them. They're in the old Papa John's Pizza on 610 at Eustace. Staff was very helpful and friendly and spoke great English. I tried a pupusa, a pollo and a carne taco, and their yuca curtido. The pupusa was excellent! I loved that they made it slightly crusty, not completely soft, it really brings out the corn flavor. The filling was tasty and the slaw (curtido) and tomato sauce on top was excellent! The curtido has a nice, herb flavor too! The tacos were decent... nothing overly special, but tasty and not dried out. The sauce that came with them was flavorful and the loads of fresh cilantro helped the flavors come through really nicely. Lastly, I love yuca and there's was tasty and not dried out, not too hard. They put the curtido on top and the flavors mixed together were excellent! Prices are decent, the place is very clean, and the service was friendly. Definitely will return!

This place wasn't hard to find off Garrisonville Rd (Rt. 610). There are two ways to get to restaurant. The first one is narrow at the light will see restaurant on right. The second one, pass the light, make a right and immediately right and drive around. Plenty of parking on the back side. My brother and I check out this place. It's small but manageable. As you walked in, you're greeted with a smile and friendly staff. The owner Mirna is behind the kitchen preparing all dishes along with one other assistant. If you don't mind a little wait time, all food items are made to order and it well worth it. We order 10 items: 1) Chicken and cheese pupusas 2) Pork and cheese pupusas 3) Grilled steak tacos 4) Chicken tacos 5) Grilled carne asada accompanied by rice, refried beans and salad 6) Mixed fajitas served also with the 3 sides 7) Fried plantains served with cream and black bean sauce 8) Steak and onions 9) Grilled beef ribs 10) Tres leches. All food items ordered were on point except the chicken it was a little bit on the dry side but flavor was great. The pupusas, steak tacos, steak with sauté onions and tres leches are a must! Please make sure you ask for the green sauce for your tacos, it is very flavorful. The cream and cinnamon on top of the tres leches, you won't be able to take just one bite until you finished it. The restaurant itself is clean, has some decor and the owner has a great personality and represented El Salvador pride. We will definitely make a return visit.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and I thought it was very pleasant. The food was fresh. The place was clean. The owner was an absolute amazing host who interacted with us and answered all her questions. Definitely something new in Stafford that you should try.

The food was so amazing! We ordered tacos and pupusas and as a native Salvadoran I can tell you these are one of the best pupusas I've had! Everything is so reasonably priced got a whole bunch of food for about 30 bucks! Great place to take a lunch if you work nearby! Highly highly recommend to everyone to try at least once!

Great service and fresh food. They have good selection of Latino specialties. Fairly new to the area and not easily visible

Flavors and spices were exactly what they should be. Chica morada was heavy on the cloves and decadent. The yucca was cooked perfectly and was HUGE pieces - and there were a lot of them. If you leave this place hungry it is your fault. I ordered just a 1/4 chicken and was totally full. Restaurant was clean. Everyone there was very friendly and they seemed to care a lot that I was enjoying my food. Absolutely recommend this place. Forgot to take pictures because I was so excited to eat. So the quarter chicken is more like a 1/16 but that's only half of the yucca I was served! It was piled so high.

She was friendly and patient as we had the littles trying to decide what they wanted. I ended up with the 1/2 chicken and two sides. I had fried plantains and onion rings. It came out hot and recently cooked. The chicken was dry but able to eat. The fried plantains were really good. The onion rings were decent. My wife ordered the same but she got the yuca fries which were a little dry but the special sauce was good. Her other side was the sweet potato fries and they were probably the best we have had in awhile. The inside isn't much to talk about. They have TV to watch soccer sports. It's not to loud when we were there. It appeared to be clean for the most part.
