I tried probably about half the things in the buffet (and there is a ridiculous variety) and there was not a single thing I tried that was actually bad. I would skip the onion rings but I can't even call it bad since it's still better than burger king's. The variety is pretty crazy so it would be impossible to detail everything. There's a solid selection of both Chinese and American food, along with a Mongolian BBQ section where you can build your own Lo Mein plate. The desert section is kinda wild, lots of fruits, jello, cakes, pudding, and ice cream cups. The restaurant goes kinda crazy with the front lobby decoration. There's a Koi pond! It's a buffet so I'm not sure what to comment on the service, but I didn't have any complaints. Nothing on the menu was particularly outstanding to me, but that variety with consistently solid quality and rock-bottom prices (like $15 for an Adult, but my sense of pricing may be a bit off from being from SF Bay Area) is absolutely wild.

Had the shrimp from the hibachi area I should have knew better because it wasn't frozen it was thawed out in a big pile. Shrimp onion zucchini bean sprouts and broccoli to be exact. Used ginger powder onion powder garlic powder and asked for spicy oil. Eaten an egg roll some sushi. As I'm eating my sister in law noticed her fish wasn't cooked all the way through. Her husband had informed a person about it. Workers behind the sushi line and hibachi line were constantly on their phones texting or scrolling who knows. Red flag #2 cross contamination. I'm upset this is my mother in laws favorite birthday spot we've been coming here for 6 years. The way I had projectile vomited and had diarrhea last night was unacceptable. I practically threw up 3pounds I also haven't eaten anything all day so I know for sure it was something from here

The only reason I can imagine a restaurant charging before you eat, is if previous customers ate and realized it was not worth the $$$$ they charge. The place is dirty. I mean - DIRTY. Glass is smeared, obviously wiped down with a dirty towel. Dried, spilled food splattered on the buffet line. The floor is sticky and dirty. Cushion on booth seats with bare springs coming up through ripped booth seats (see photo) Chairs, tables and basically ANYTHING you "touch" in this place is "sticky"... It just screams "CLEAN ME!" Bus tub FILLED with dirty dishes left sitting throughout the entire lunch time. (see photo) Disgusting. Food was far from eatable. Some dishes smelled spoiled. Meats dried out and "Stale". We were two of only 8 people total eating at noon (lunch time) - NO RUSH and the staff sat mindlessly looking at their phones. Seriously, as a restaurant manager for years, I am amazed this place is still in business. THE HEALTH DEPT NEEDS TO VISIT THIS PLACE ASAP!!!!! I am sure they will be closed down after such a visit. Don't bother spending a nickel in this dump. Plenty of other restaurants across the street. Go where you won't get sick.....

Some of the items had a little too onion flavor but the steak and Texas toast was the best! They have a sadad bar that you can get with your meals. It wasn't bad. There is a whole bar session if you're just looking to drink. The restaurant has a old timey solan feel to it. All very family friendly and if you sit in the right spot you can see them chopping and cooking the meats. My kid loved seeing that.

It was a nice sized chop. Also, when you order an entree, you get to go to the salad bar. The salad bar had lots of options and was a great start while waiting for my pork chop. Others in my party ordered the teriyaki steak and they each enjoyed theirs. It was a pretty large cut of steak for 10 ounces. I had a side with my chop and it was the bbq beans. These were excellent. I give this place 5 stars. It is an older steakhouse with an aged ambiance but their prices are decent and the service was great despite being quite busy. It looked like there were only 2 waitresses working this evening but they were working really hard and did a great job. We really enjoyed this place and our food.

I had the Crescent City Chicken, and it was enough food for two. The kitchen was clearly putting in the effort. But the standout was our server, Allianna. I highly recommend Buzzard Billy's for its great food and excellent staff.

I'd missed my connection and got bumped by a last minute female runner even though I was first on the standby list. I stepped off the hotel shuttle, checked into my room, dropped off my baggage and walked here for dinner. Needless to say, I walked in the door quite hungry. I sat at the bar for the quickest service. I ordered a local lager, Des Moines Exile's Maria lager ($6.75/5% ABV). To eat, I seldom go wrong with fried catfish. This time I got the fried catfish strips, with tartar sauce, 2 large hush puppies, and a bunch of fries ($16.99). The smooth lager hit the spot and the fried dinner really filled me up. Catfish average, hush puppies had great texture and taste, and fries were hot. The bartender/waitress really wasn't too attentive. Spent most of the time talking to other customers and staff. I ordered another lager from Exile. This one was an award winning Ruthie Gold lager ($7/4.9% ABV). I preferred this lager to the first one. It had a more rounded taste and mouthfeel. The huge meal didn't wow me, but it did feel me up. Thumbs up to the two local lagers I tried. They were good. Come here if you need a large meal and mediocre service.

So tasty and juicy. I should have bought two orders because my friend wanted to eat all of it. Brisket burnt ends were amazing! The bark was so yummy. Brisket was moist and Smokey. Perfect size, too. Pulled pork was also juicy and Smokey. Pork at other places can dry out quickly, but not at Smokey D's. It was filled with flavor and I couldn't stop eating it (until I had eaten all of it). Baked beans were very tasty and good. Coleslaw was just the right creamy sweetness to keep the palette clean. Not pictured was the two orders of garlic toast I ordered after eating the piece that came with the plate. Overall a sweet 10/10 from me, or as a BBQ judge, I give it all straight 9's.

The look and feel of the restaurant reminded me of Phil's bbq from San Diego. We tried the baked potato with brisket as well as the brisket platter with baked beans and jalapeño corn. The jalapeño corn was like creamed corn texture. It was good and spicy. The brisket was a bit dry for my liking but I think this is more of a sauce your meat place. I usually prefer dry rub tx style brisket but none the less I thought the brisket was still good. Portions were good and service was great.
