Dezirae was amazing!! Very good at handling large parties and amazing service. The food was good too!

Usually, when customers come into a restaurant they are greeted and seated. Not this place. I'd love to talk about the food. I'd love to mention the ambience and I'd love to review the service. However, we walked in on a Saturday at 11:45, 15 minutes after they open and no one. We waited and no one. We left after a couple minutes, because is this is indicative of the front of the restaurant, imagine what sketchy stuff is happening in the back. No staff visible, no one to seat anyone, I don't even know if there were cooks. Quit smoking your lunch and start serving lunch. What a complete joke of a restaurant. This is why restaurants go out of business. read more

The worst service we've had in as long as we can remember- and we eat out at least 3x a week. The restaurant was EMPTY at 6:30 when we arrived. Two guys as the bar. Absolutely no guests at tables. We grabbed seats at the bar- Bartender no where to be seen. 15 minutes later another couple and single guest arrived. Still, no bartender. Jordan strolls in from the back looking like she'd like to blow up the place rather than fake a smile or acknowledge us. She was miserable and dying for company. Jordan- stay home. We're playing over $100 for tacos and a couple drinks. Just. BE NICE. the single guest ordered the same meal I did- hers was consumed long before mine/ours arrived. We were there for over 90 minutes before getting food.- had to track our friend Jordan down for a second beverage. We would have had more. Mission accomplished there my friend, Jordan, you spread your misery just fine. While you were yelling, to the only men you would give attention to, that a 50% tip is the only acceptable amount, we left you exactly what you deserved. $0.00 Be nice or stay home. read more

Pretty standard chain-Mexican with lots of options and fun atmosphere! If you grew up in Mexico or Texas, maybe this isn't for you, but if you grew up in Ohio - this is what a Mexican restaurant is. Goto is a chicken fajitta dish, and theirs is quite tasty. Also had a Ranch Water (tequilla and lime) which was fine! I'd probably get a margarita next time. Service was pretty good! We stopped by with the intention of a quick drink. But we enjoyed it so much that one drink turned into two and then we had to try a pizza. I had a Russelrita and a raspberry margarita. Both were excellent but the Russelrita was my favorite. Sooooo good. Husband had a Manhattan. He is picky but had no complaints. We ordered the hot honey pizza. SO GOOD. Husband wanted to order a second but we ran out of time. Service was good and I really loved the restaurant interior. Looking forward to stopping by again next time we are in Brunswick. read more

I haven't been here since its opening days in which my family and friends thoroughly enjoyed a festive atmosphere, great service, and tasty food. I took my family here again this weekend after a couple of years and was quite disappointed. Despite a restaurant that was 80 percent empty, it took at least 10-15 minutes before anyone acknowledged that we had been seated. And when someone finally noticed us, they simply said, "someone should be with you soon". Once our waitress arrived, we ordered drinks and it took at least 30 more minutes before they appeared at our table. The wait for food was epically long. Larger groups that arrived after us were already settling up their bill and leaving. When our food finally arrived, they announced that one of the meals had been accidentally delivered to the wrong table and would need to be remade. The rest of the table was almost finished by the time the missing meal was delivered. They did remove that dish from the bill but it was still an unpleasant experience. The food was okay but seemed like it had been "held" in an oven for a while since refried beans and rice seemed dried out on a very hot plate. We went for supper and arrived at the restaurant around 5:20, in time to take advantage of the happy hour specials. Most (or all) of the margaritas were $6 and a variety of appetizers deeply discounted. Jacob was our server and he was top notch. He was attentive. The food was presented nicely and served warm! The dining and bar area seating was neat and spacious. The parking area was also adequate. I would definitely recommend Margaritas Brunswick. read more

Horrible!!! We have been to so many locations and loved them all, but this was horrible! Waited for 45 mins before we were given menus or had drink orders taken, and that was only because we went to bar and asked for menus and chips. Food took over 1.5 hours! When it arrived waitress brought out meals one at a time and 3 of meals were cold, the chicken chimichanga was cold and full of oil, rice was all hard and refried beans had a thick crust. Multiple tables got up and left after waiting for a server. So sad. We were meeting at a halfway location to dine with family. This location should be shut down. Manager was rude and barely apologetic about the whole ordeal. read more

Margaritas in Brunswick has finally opened. Been pretty busy since their opening. Large parking lot. Very festive and fun decor on the inside. Large and yummy Margarita menu. Free chips and salsa at table. Happy Hour specials. A few large tvs in bar/ lounge area. They brought in staff from other locations initially, so didn't notice any hiccups. Nachos were large. Not too much meat know there (paid extra for steak), cheese a little overcooked but not horrible. Their rice as side dish was very flavorful and yummy. read more

Dinner last night for my granddaughter's birthday. There were six of us and we had a reservation; seated quickly. I was disappointed because I've like Margarita's in Augusta, and you do kind of assume they'll be the same. I will say that the guac and queso were good - chips were crispy and salty as well. I ordered the chicken fajitas - and tasteless is the best way to describe all but the chicken which was a bit over salted but at least a little flavorful. It was a Friday night, so the service was kind of slow - but expectedly. read more

Beware the awful service! Got there just before Happy Hour and we had a couple drinks, so thought dinner would be enjoyable. Boy, was I wrong! Waitress took forever to take our orders, then 20 minutes later said only 2 of 6 cooks came in and they were "backed up". OK, things happen, but another 20 minutes go by and we ask where are food is, she says it's coming out shortly. The meal finally shows up, and then yet another round of "hide and go seek" with the waitress, so I finally went up to the bar and said to the bartender, do you have our bill? The waitress appears out of nowhere and says, is everything OK? I said, no your service was awful. She then said "I hope you have a better night". I said my night is fine, but your service was terrible. Too bad, but we will have to cross them off our list and go next door to Pepper's Landing from now on. It should not take an hour and a half for a Mexican dinner, but the endless waiting is what you get with poor service. read more

The first time I ordered a taco with out tomatoes and it was covered in tomatoes, then the waiter gave us the completely wrong check, second time the taco was cold like it was so cold it was almost was like they just took it out of the fridge. I preface my review by stating that I visited on opening weekend for Margarita's in Brunswick. We arrived at just after 5 pm, thinking we were so early that there should be no problem getting seated. Silly us - waited 35 minutes. The place was packed! The decor is Mexican in all its glory - absolutely spot on! The drinks were very good. All of the waitstaff was overwhelmed, but ours was very pleasant. It took well over an hour to get our food. The food was very average though. I had tacos de americanos. The flour tortillas were not cooked, but the meat and cheese filling were okay. The music was good but so loud that you had to yell for a chance to be heard. Overall disappointing, but I'll give it another chance once they have the opportunity to work out the bugs. read more

Margaritas in Brunswick is a fiesta for diners. Charming, colorful decor, lots of unique artwork, cheerful hand painted tiles everywhere. Comfy booths are available, but there are tables for all sizes of groups, and a fun bar area .. also with booths .. A happy welcome welcome accompanied by a multi flowered lei.. was our first impression .. it was opening day after all, and though reservations are suggested, we were early enough to be seated in a private booth. Our server, Fiona, was helpful and knowledgeable about the many options on the menu. We started with two house Margaritas-- excellent and prompt. We ordered guacamole and chips to accompany the house salsa.. Then we ordered the two large sampler plates and loved every bite of the tacos, enchiladas, the perfectly cooked rare steak, and veggies, and both the refried beans and rice were excellent, not just boring sides. We LOVED. the new Margaritas restaurant in Brunswick in Merrymeeting Plaza.. Plenty of parking right in front .. Am already planning our next visit. read more

Came here at around 11:15pm so the only food left available to order were a couple appetizers. Our server was incredibly nice. It wasn't that busy either so we sat at the bar. We got pickle chips ($8.75), french fries ($4), chicken baby chimis ($12.5), and Juan's chipotle bbq tenders ($14). Other than the french fries, everything was a little pricey but we were hungry and it was the only thing available so we got them. They came out really fast and tasted pretty good. Not the best but pretty decent for appetizers and how quickly they came out. Overall, it was a good late-night bite here. read more

Today was their opening day in Brunswick. The hostess was welcoming right when we entered. We were lucky and got there a little early and seated right away. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. For the first night the food tasted perfect! The salsa and chips were good as always. Our meal came really quick and hot, nothing to complain about. We will be back! read more

Wow! Very impressed with the Brunswick location! Our waitress, Laurel, is amazing. Very knowledgeable about the food, recommends dishes you will love, and just an all around nice person. The mgmt is very accommodating and was able to cater to special needs. We love Mexican but not spice, the staff were able to tone it down and make great suggestions..right down to adding a little sour cream to the salsa to make it really enjoyable. We have been here 3 times in the last week and plan to check out the rest of the menu in the coming weeks. Looking for a casual weeknight taco or even a casual fun datenight with a couple margaritas (they make their own mixer..the Squeeze makes a big difference!) this is the place to go. I've been to other Margaritas locations and the food had always been exactly as advertised. Very good. The problem I have is with this location. Specifically with our server. We were just a couple of friends catching up after a long time and she treated us as an inconvenience. She messed up our checks at the end of the night and instead of fixing her mistake rolled her eyes and turned the encounter very awkward. The chips and salsa to start were wonderful and we had high hopes for our chicken and steak entries. However the flavor was flat... Literally... This is the 2nd time I've been to this restaurant in the last month. The first time the drinks were great! I loved my mojito and blood and smoke margarita, but the service was slow even when they were not busy. The second visit however is my reason for only 1 star. Two of the six members of my party contracted food poisoning, possibly salmonella from the chicken quesadillas they ordered. Which both took over half an hour to bring to us, and was already cold. The service was incredibly slow and while normally this doesn't bother me, it is absolutely unacceptable for anyone to get sick and spend the entire weekend heaving their guts out from both sides. Very disappointed in service and food For many years we have gone to this restaurant in Portland and August and have always loved it We have not had a good experience at this restaurant in my home town in Brunswick We went for a third time last week for lunch First the reception from two young ladies was very rude they did not know what they needed to do to just seat people at a table they seamed to be more concerned about fixing there sexy dresses We ordered and almost everything was very good Except the rice which was re heated from the night before or Very over cooked till it was a mush or paste we did not eat So we thought about it later so we called to speak to whoever the manger was and explained the problem She rudely said they cook the rice every day and click hung up what!! Freshly opened so I'll cut them some slack. Their check in process for waiting should be worked on a little. My wife gave her phone number and assumed that meant we would get a text.. but that never happened. After waiting for quite a while we moved inside to see what was going on.. after some people that definitely got there after us were sat, I went to ask about us and could see that people after us were crossed off the list. Miraculously, since I asked I'm guessing, we were next! The wait for drinks was longer that I would usually be ok with.. Food was hot, flavorful and as good as it always is (and has been for the 20+ years I've been going to other locations. The rice was on point. Positive- chips and salsa was good Negative-kids meal supposed to include drinks and ice cream. Was charged for drinks and ice cream never offered. Skillet enchiladas was supposed to have tomatillo sauce but they might have put a tablespoon total over three enchiladas. Refried beans had absolutely no flavor Chicken fajitas had so much seasoning and were dry and overcooked Ice tea form a fountain-gross.
