Food is fresh and outstanding. Very generous portions and the staff are friendly and hard working.

Stopped in here to grab a quick bite to go. The waitress was absolutely lovely and very helpful . We got the grilled haddock one was on gluten free bread (was nice not a huge mark up .)The sandwiches were very good . Got onion rings and hand cut fries both were delicious. Absolutely loved the coleslaw would have been happy with just that . Looked nice inside very casual with nice outside seating area as well . The pumpkin whoopee pie was excellent and looked like some wonderful cakes and pies all made there. read more

Kimberly's has the best pies! I'm a little late posting this from Thanksgiving, but the pumpkin pie was absolutely delicious -- truly one of the best I've had. They offer an amazing variety of homemade pies, and every one I've tried has been fantastic. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a great meal or pick up a pie to take home. My wife and I ran across Kimberly's while driving from Portland to our Vrbo in Boothbay and I'm so glad we stopped in. Street parking was easy and they had tables outside which was perfect for a lovely day (and necessary as we had our dog with us). The waitress was very nice, even bringing a bowl for our pooch and making menu recommendations. I was feeling basic so went with a burger which was fresh and perfectly cooked; my wife opted for a grilled cheese which was definitely an upgraded version of what you can make at home. Thoroughly satisfied from our meals, we could not resist the amazing cakes on display so we got a couple of pieces to go (apple spice for me and peanut butter chocolate for her). They both tasted as amazing as they looked! I definitely recommend a stop at Kimberly's if you're in the region looking for a diner-type menu or just an afternoon dessert break. read more

Took a trip to the Camden / portland area. We stayed in Dresden. We came upon this place in Richmond. It was quiet for a Saturday. Food was average. I got a buffalo chicken wrap with fries. The wrap had blue cheese instead of ranch. My boyfriend got meatloaf. We had no complaints, it was all very good. The staff was very friendly and on top of things. I'd consider going back again if I was in the area. read more

We found this gem while traveling through Maine on our Northeast road trip. We were there at lunch time. We were greeted right away by our server. She took our drink order and proceeded to point out the daily specials. I had the Red Pepper mushroom Swiss burger, it was amazing. My wife had the lobster roll and is was also delicious. We both had are server put together a dessert to go. Oh my gosh it was so delicious too. Restaurant was very clean and comfortable. My first visit since it changed hands and became Kimberly's and I was impressed. The menu is larger than I expect in a local restaurant - apps, soups, salads, pasta, seafood, diner meals, pies, cakes. What we had was very good. My fish was well cooked and seasoned, and the fries were fresh cut and delicious! My grand-daughter had meatloaf and she does not eat mine that fast. We had a piece of apple pie to go and that was good. The prices are good and you get a good size portion. I will be going back. read more

I love this restaurant! It's the go to place when my family gets together to go out for a meal. The prices are reasonable, portions are filling, and I haven't had a bad meal yet. The homemade boneless buffalo tenders are the best buffalo tenders I have ever had (and I try the buffalo tenders at every restaurant I go to if an option!) The Reuben is delicious, the coleslaw is delicious, the fries are perfect, and the Greek pizza is amazing!! And that's just the food! The staff is awesome! Always accommodating, always friendly, they just rock! Their homemade desserts are also noteworthy! I just can't say enough good things about this place! read more

I ordered a reuben sandwich and much to my surprise it was actually on a marble rye slice of bread! Some of the food is from a can, but other stuff isn't. I wish all the food was fresh. It's a hit or miss. An older man behind me ordered his meal and I saw that his green beans and carrots were 100% from a can. On the other hand, my reuben was made correctly...like I said hit or miss. Seriously. The waitress was first class, really super. My brother's custard pie looked great and he liked it very much. My chili was good, but not great. Everything went downhill from there. A tiny cup of lobster stew (lobsterpieces in boiled milk and butter for $9.99, lobster so rubbery you could make car tires from it, 60,000 mile warranty! But what was worst was a pre-baked potato with canned green less and meatloaf so tough--yes tough!--you had to chew it AND it was very strange tasting, as if it had chicken gizzards and livers ground into it. Bizarre. We virtually never leave food uneaten and eat every imaginable variety of food from all over the world. Trust me. This meatloaf was the worst we've ever had. Only redeemed by the waitress and the custard pie. read more

Made my 3rd visit tonight, I had the steak tips stir fry over rice. It's was amazing !! Way more then I could eat. My son had a Rueben and fries, everything was cooked perfectly! I have yet to be disappointed, prices are great. I'm now a regular! read more

I/we love to eat out at Kimberly's. The best carrot cake around. Lots of daily specials. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. They are probably my favorite here in Richmond. Well worth the trip. Check them out, you'll be happy you did. read more

Had lunch here today with my (elderly) Dad. I'm visiting from the Midwest, so I'm basically doing a lobster roll tour, ordering one wherever I can. The one here was pretty great--huge portion of lobster in a lettuce leaf in the requisite toasted split top bun. Interestingly, the lobster came unadorned, so you could add as much or as little mayo as you wanted. While I missed ( a little) the crunch of a few bits of celery, I gotta say, this was easily the most generous lobster roll I've had here. Fresh, delicious, abundant. Service was pleasant and quick. And fries--I don't know about the prior owners, but today's fries were clearly made fresh (peels and all) and right out of the fryer, piping hot, crisp outside, creamy inside. I would come back here in a heartbeat. read more

We stopped in for breakfast this morning, I will start with the service, I ordered the Mr.LJ which is bacon, sausage scrambled eggs toast and home fries. I asked if i could get a biscuit instead of toast and was told they only serve biscuits with gravy, that was a first for me, I didn't realized they were inseparable! The homefries were horrible, the bacon was very greasy and the sausage was maybe a 1/4" thick and and a little over cooked. Back to the service, our waitress was pleasant enough, not rude but not really into her job, I was not offered more coffee until we were ready to leave, no water and not asked about our food. I felt like we overpayed for something that might of tasted better at the gas station up the road. I've seen reviews raving about their lunches and dinners maybe after the taste of this breakfast goes away we might try it, that may take awhile though! Sorry folks but I can't recommend for breakfast! read more

Came out to Maine from Los Angeles for a camping trip and visited Kimberly's for dinner. The service and food could not have been better. Our server was very friendly and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the carb stuffed mushroom caps as an appetizer and their meatloaf as an entree. For dessert, you absolutely have to have the pumpkin bar and the coconut creme pie. They were both out of this world. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining and although we didn't have a chance to have a drink in their lounge, we hope to visit again very soon! read more

Worst service I've had in a long time. This place used to be good. Although my haddock was delicious, the French fries had been refried a couple of times . Very greasy. We had to ask to get waited on, after a very long wait and watched other parties being attended to that came in after us.! Seriously considering taking our dinner business elsewhere. read more
