Ordered 2 Carne Asada and 1 drink and total came out to 84$!!! How is that even possible?? We asked for a receipt and they refused. Multiple people have had this issue . I have going here multiple times to eat. However the last time that I went was in the middle of the day. They were not busy at all. The waiter did not bring me a menu. So I asked him to get me a menu. Then I asked for another cup of mild salsa. He left and came back but passed my table and waited on the people behind me. I had to ask again for My salsa. He never came back to the table! I had to get up and go ask for a refill on my drink. After I finished my meal I waited and waited for my bill so I can pay. I finally got up and asked if I could please have my bill. My waiter was at the front behind the counter watching a ballgame on the televisions by the bar. I have not been back since! The food is decent. But the wait staff is not the best. I guess it kind of depends on which day you go and what time of the day you go. Good luck! read more

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Conway/Carolina Forest. We are from Texas so getting a good (real) Mexican meal has been hard to do. The chips and salsa are brought out with hot or mild choices and the chips were hot and fresh, even at 930pm. We shared an order of beef fajitas which came out sizzling and right when we had finished our chips. One additional thing I loved was they did not over use the cilantro. Not much in salsa and that alone will have me returning to try a new dish next time! The location is right on Church street in town and easy to get on and off 501. Give them a try!! read more

Update: I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! The food is good but the service is horrid!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! My boyfriend and I love this place. The food is cheap and very delicious. Unfortunately, the last time we have gone we have gotten the older gentleman as a waiter-AWFUL service. He never brought my drink, even when asked politely about it. Forgot our cheese dip- never got it. Brought our food out half at time, so my boyfriend had to wait for my food to be delivered and his was ice cold. Love the food and will be back- but will steer clear of that waiter! read more

Traveling through and stopped in. The staff here is VERY friendly. I asked for something not on the menu and they said of course and made a mixed seafood ceviche which was good. Well it's better then Taco Bell... The chips and 2 different kinds of salsa mild & hot. The hot was good had the right amount of heat and wasn't soupy like the mild which my husband didn't like which I did not blame him. And the queso cheese that we asked for was so soupy it was unreal it didn't start getting thick til over a half hour later. The beef quesadillas that my husband had it looked really good it tasted OK but he's had better he said we won't be back. I had the Carnitas and it was too salty and it didn't have a crust on it so it was like eating pull pork just no texture just mush... So no we will not be back unless we are really desperate for some form of Mexican food... I went there for dinner on Wednesday, April 22nd. It was just me and my two-year-old... I wanted something cheap but was sick of fast-food and the normal "kiddie" places. Once we were seated we got chips and salsa (free, of course). The chips were delicious (crispy and flavorful - not stale like at some other places) and I like that they brought mild and hot salsa to the table. I saw that the special was green enchiladas for $7.99. I tried them and LOVED them. The chicken inside was seasoned to perfection and I loved the sauce. My toddler ate most of my rice (which I tried and it was also tasty) and chomped on chips so she was satisfied. My only complaint would be that the service was not fast enough. The place was slammed and it looked like there were two guys running the whole place - waiting tables, seating people and tending bar. Sadly, I didn't try a margarita but I will next time! Yesterday I had the Guadalajara Special (lunch size): Chicken and onions in a burrito with green salsa, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese sauce: absolutely delicious. Although the staff was courteous and kind, the wait to get served was longer than expected. We had to get their attention to be served. I give them credit for checking on our food twice. Food is mediocre. Guacamole didn't taste authentic or freshly made with chunks of real avocado. It had a purée texture. Even the color was too bright unlike any guacamole I've tried. I tasted some kind of chemical in the guacamole. They put nacho cheese on their chimichangas, when it should a white, creamy sauce. If you want just tacos like other restaurants, where's it $2.50 per taco, they didn't seem to give a choice of that. The chicken inside had a pretty decent flavor, but they make it differently than most Mexican restaurants. It had a pale white color. The rice was bland and it didn't look fresh.
