Let me just first say that the service and the staff are very good people. They did everything that could to make my dinning experience a good one. However the food.... I wish I could say that this was a good place to eat at. I gave it 2 chances and both times the food failed me. Even the drinks were not good at all. Where should I start? When we came in, we were greeted very nicely by the front staff and was seated immediately. I very cheerful waitress came and kindly took our drink order and appetizers. That was the beginning of the end. My brother ordered the strawberry daiquiri and I ordered the original margarita. When the drinks came my brother's daiquiri was absolutely disgusting. The slimy texture had the same consistency as flem and had the worse chemical flavor ever. My Margarita was no better. Although it did not have the slime texture, the sour mix used was just nasty. It just tasted of tequila and chemicals. Our waitress was kind enough to bring us bottle beers instead and apologized for the cocktails. The food was no better. We ordered Chicken Baby Chimis. It says that the are lightly fried but the fact is that they are super fired and is nothing but breaded batter and very little chicken or cheese or anything else, just fried dough. The quesadilla was not bad but then again I don't know how someone could mess up cheese and tortilla shells. My main dish was "The Mexican Flag" which was suppose to be three kinds of enchiladas but all I could taste and see were beans. I like beans as much as the next person does, but when I'm suppose to have beef, pork and chicken in there, something is wrong when all I'm getting are los frijoles Nothing against the staff and their amazing service, which is why this is not a 1 star review, but I can't not recommend anyone to come eat here. Stopped in here while staying across the street at the Courtyard by Marriott. I have been to other locations of this place before (Waltham/Moddy Street) but this was one of the larger locations I have seen. This place gets pretty crowded on a Saturday night and about a 25 minute wait but fortunately the bar is close to the lobby. The staff is friendly and gets people in and out quick. The menu here is huge and has every single type of Mexican dish you can imagine. It is a little overwhelming at first but once you narrow down the choices, all the dishes are somewhat good. The chips and salsa keeps coming free and the Margaritas here are quite good. The food is okay, not the best but for a chain Mexican place, not too bad. Portions are large and service is okay but for a Saturday, it dragged by the end of the night. Chicken in some dishes is chewy and stringy and I question if it really is real chicken. Enchilada dish was good and chimi changa dish was okay, but without chicken would be better. Churros strangely were crunchy and crumbly and tasted old. I enjoy this chain. It had been a while, and after doing some shopping, my Lady and I went over, excited about having the Famous "Queso Fundido." That thing DID NOT disappoint, it is a Home Run everytime! Our server was Jonathan, really nice, VERY soft spoken, but his volume was perfect because we never had to ask him to repeat himself. We talked about messing with him, just to break him in a bit, but never got to it (nothing mean, just acting like he was too loud, or telling him to calm down). I love this place! I'm from vegas and when I come down here to visit this is a place I always go! Great food and service. I love the happy hour menu and the drinks are great. The staff is friendly and the managers are great too. They care about there customers. Never had a bad visit to this place. Can't believe they only have 3 stars! This visit I had the appetizer chicken chimis and my husband had the fish tacos. Both dishes were great. I had a virgin strawberry margarita and I couldn't believe how good it tasted. This was some of the better chain Mexican food I've had. I suppose it's not the super authentic experience so many people talk about but I like this Americanized style. After trying a few competitors in Framingham that charge twice as much and try to be trendy, we have returned to Margaritas. I love the Mexican corn which is my go to appetizer and plenty of solid entrees. I wanted to try the fried ice cream but they were still making more when we were there so were out but for some reason that made me feel good that they didn't just order it in from Sysco or preprepared somewhere else. OK, I was rather harsh with my initial review of this Margaritas, but my tacos were inedible then and my colleagues dishes were not much better. The manager saw my review and was good enough to offer me a chance to visit again and not order the tacos, but I wasn't even tempted. Now, though, it is waking distance from work for me, so my colleagues and I have gone back for lunch, and, now that I order anything but the tacos (which may be better now) I have been OK with the food. One of my colleagues really enjoys the lunch fajitas. Service is still a bit uneven, but usually fine. Doesn't excite me (Framingham/Natick near the mall still needs a truly good Mexican restaurant), but certainly enjoyable Tex-Mex dining. read more

My date and I enjoyed this place. They have a big selection. I wouldn't bother drinking here though as the prices are too much. But come for the food, it is slightly better than average. So ok here goes. Im glad that someone from the restaurant is looking at these reviews and please dont contact me. Im good. First of all, the food here is very good. I dont really have any complaints. We've eaten here several times now and its been consistent. The help you have is another story. Young kids. Not that there is anything wrong with a young person but they tend to be totally uninterested in your needs and desires. So it would be helpful if you trained your help to be kind, considerate and thoughtful when dealing with patrons. The second criticism I have are the drinks. Of course we go and we get margaritas. We usually upgrade also. The last two times we went it was like there was hardly any alcohol added. Like maybe a teaspoon if that. I have concluded that it would be better for me to buy a beer instead of getting drinks with next to no alcohol. Thats $20 for two drinks where I feel better after one beer is so not worth it. btw Im very alcohol sensitive, cheap date kind of girl so its not like Im expecting super strong. Please train the bartender who I also noticed appeared to be young. Worries me that the patrons dont get their drinks bc maybe someone is drinking their share of their alcohol. This restaurant used to be good, now it is overpriced and the service isn't good. Came here to for lunch with a friend and we each got (what used to be) a $5 house Margarita. We ended up getting two each and splitting an app and the bill was $45. The house Margaritas are now $7.50. This restaurant is no longer worth coming to, as I can get much better drinks elsewhere for less, and better service. I always sit at the bar, I come hungry and thirsty. I've been here dozens of times but the past few times they've been disappointing. Experience was awesome! I reached out to schedule a company holiday party. Terry was extremely helpful & sweet, she emailed me the catering menu, secured the date & gave me the info needed to reach the "trivia guy" Joe. As the date of our party got closer I email Tim the General Manager who was incredibly helpful, he sent an invoice w/ our catering requests & let me know we could alter if needed. I reached out to Joe (trivia guy) & secured his services for the party as well. My husband and I are new to the area and we always pass this restaurant on the way home. We ate there this past Tuesday night and we were very happy with the quality of food, customer service and atmosphere. I have a food allergy and the manager came up to me and discussed all the ingredients in the dish. My husband ordered the $5 house margarita and it had a lot of alcohol in it for just $5! My experience at Margaritas was overall pleasant and enjoyable. The waiter was kind and attentive. I ordered beef nachos and there was too much to eat, a little heavy on the beans but good. I got two of their special drinks the Baja Burro and the Mayan Punch, The Baja Burro was supposed to come in a cool tin mug but it was not instead this plastic cup but was not a big deal the waiter said they ran out of them which is odd but fine. The Baja Burro was strong and tasty. The Mayan Punch also featured a different glass then the one it came in, this drink was not as strong but certainly extremely tasty i anticipated a stronger drink for 7.99$ though. Great social area for the college students. They have some fun nights there, giveaways and stuff like that ( not sure how many times a year ) the margaritas in my opinion are fantastic. They give pretty large portions and the food is always hot when it comes out. The bar area is quite spacious although it could be bigger. The parking lot tends to get packed and I have had to park in the Home Depot parking lot before which is a bummer in the winter. Overall it's a great margaritas. I prefer this one well over the one in Waltham! read more

Food always good and drinks as well. Music is so loud you have to raise your voice to talk to the person next to you. Yes I am in my 60's and asked for the music to be turned down but when I come from my excerise class with folks from 30-60 and say where should we eat tonight and Margaritas could be a great option the group picks another restaurant because the music is to loud, Margaritas needs to think about their business plan. Yes you have the 20-30 year folks but to alienate the rest of us is a bad business plan. We had a great meal tonight and very good drinks but we will not be coming back, think about that. The struggle is real in finding some good Mexican food in MA. This is more of a Tex mex type food where everything is smothered in something creamy like their chili or queen sauce. Food is mediocre but I'd rather have chipotle over this place. read more

To start this review on a positive note, I would like to say the food was tastey and reasonably priced! The restaurant seemed clean to the eye and our waitress was very attentive.....here is where the experience gets scary. I took my child to the restroom and observed the hostess leaving the handicap stall, wiping her nose with her hand and completely bypassing the sink where her hands should've been washed. After telling our waitress about it, she ran to the hostess (by the name of Terry) and told her what we had said. That was totally fine because someone should have told her to wash her hands. Terry made it a point to approach our table filled with excuses on why she didn't wash her hands. She said she was, "only changing and not using the bathroom" and that's why she didn't. I expressed to her that I work in healthcare and washing your hands should be done with any action like changing clothes, touching the stall handle, wiping your nose with your hand, etc...Terry then says, "Oh, I know, I'm a doctor" What??? So I challenge that statement by asking why she was a hostess at a chain restaurant if she was a doctor. She stated, "I help out here because my husband works in corporate". Nice try lady, no doctor with a husband in corporate chain restaurants is spending her nights as a hostess who doesn't wash her hands. She must think I won't reach out to corporate or maybe the board of health because her imaginary husband runs the place. Well....the food was pretty good going down. Just hoping Terry didn't cause myself and my family food poisoning. Not sure whether or not to recommend this place to anyone. I know for sure I will not be back all thanks to Terry and her lack of basic hygiene. read more

Went on Labor Day, but early enough to avoid the " dinner rush". Drinks were very watery, and the second round was undrinkable. We put our appetizer and food order in at the same time. Both items came out within 5 minutes of each other and the app had cold spots in it! ( and there was no room for everything on our tiny table) We made our unhappiness clear to the waitress who summoned management right away. Our app was taken off the bill, but our waitress avoided us for the rest of the meal and left a ton of dishes on the table. I went here one night after work during the middle of the week. I was surprised at how busy it was to be be 8 pm on a week night, but I got seated quickly. Customer service was good. Food wasn't that good to me though. I was starving so I devoured the chips and salsa - the salsa tasted like jar salsa mixed with something else. Not bad, but not that good either. I really wanted to give them better-we went there for my birthday but the food was awful. My friend got the fish tacos and they were so overcooked and dry he didn't even eat the fish.
