French 76'

Food and service were great! The French 76 was delicious. If you at Natick Mall or shopping at Nordy's stop in! You will enjoy it!

Mushrooms Ravioli with an order of shrimps

A very nice and clean restaurant inside of Nordstrom. Service was excellent. We ordered a salad and a pasta dish with additional shrimps added. The food was okay, it didn't wow me but the mocktail was awesome!! I got the Lavender Fizz and it's the best mocktail I have had so far. Best of all, when you're done eating you can walk around and shop!

Caesar salad

This was a great choice and the staff was amazing. My friend and I got the chicken Cesar salad and my son got the chicken fingers with french fries with chocolate milk. He loved the chocolate milk. I enjoyed the salad. I was able to work and so did my friend but it was nice to finally be out to eat while working. The staff were so considerate regarding us being on our phones and laptop. I would recommend if you are in the area Bazille the food was delicious.

This restaurant is inside Nordstrom's on the second floor. It has changed from ordering at the counter upon entry to ordering at the table. The soup and kung pao Brussels sprouts were good, but for $22 plus $5 tip, I was disappointed it has done away with providing tasty chocolate mints with the check. I had been looking forward to that treat. Won't return because of this change.

We are huge fans of the restaurants nestled inside of Nordstrom stores, and Bazille, the newest addition to the lineup, is no exception! The Nordstrom restaurants are a great way to grab a quick and healthy lunch or dinner while still staying on track for your shopping mission. A lot of the other eateries in the mall either require a full sit-down affair that could take up a good deal of time, or are counter service / food court style restaurants that have limited options. Not so at Bazille, which diverts from the usual Nordstrom Cafe standard of ordering before you are seated, and introduces a table service restaurant that manages to be an efficient and lovely experience throughout. Natick's Nordstroms underwent some major renovations earlier this year, and they decided to do away with Nordstrom Cafe, and instead introduce Bazille, which includes many of the old restaurant's standbys, plus a slew of tasty new dishes. The remodeled dining area is a lot airier and brighter than its predecessor, with whitewashed walls, comfortable upholstered booths, and an open kitchen where diners can watch the chefs sling pizzas into a brick oven. Yum! The addition of table service for the full meal is also extremely welcome, and we loved our friendly server, Pekkie! Thank goodness my favorite Crab, Mango, and Avocado Salad made the cut onto the new menu, and it was resplendent as always with juicy mango, ripe avocado, succulent crab, and a tasty and tangy cilantro lime dressing. My mom got the Margherita Pizza, and the deep flavor of the roasted tomatoes and chewy crust is enhanced by the brick oven it comes out of. So good! We didn't imbibe, but the new Bazille has an extensive beverage list, with plenty of wines, beers, and seasonal cocktails to keep even the most stressed out shopper happy! They even have a couple of mocktails, which I was delighted to see. I will try one next time - the blood orange one looked particularly winsome. Bazille should be your go-to dining destination at Natick Mall for an easy, filling, and relaxed meal. This isn't your typical "mall restaurant" - it's so much better than that!

Maple bacon deviled eggs

So good that I can't believe it was inside a mall Nordstrom! When your hotel is near nothing but mall and you have limited time to kill before the afternoon event that brought you on the road in the first place your options seem kind of bleak. But even though we thought that people were punking us while we were reading reviews, we followed their spot on suggestions to a culinary promised land that did not disappoint on innovation. And while being located inside a Nordstrom could be the only real thing holding it back, Bazille proved to be quite the satisfying bistro! Service was spot on and paid as much attention to our youngest dining partner as us, even if she loved the awesome coloring book she was given more than her chicken fingers and fries (I can't blame her because it was pretty awesome and educational!). Since we were still coming off a long day of travel from the day before we were famished enough to gravitate towards both the kung pao brussel sprouts and maple bacon deviled eggs for starters. The chicken sausage, spicy chili peppers, sweet soy, and toasted peanuts that came with the brussel sprouts turned it into a simple but complex savory fusion dish that delivered in flavor. And the deviled eggs encompassed everything that makes brunch so delicious in two simple bites! For mains my better half enjoyed the wild salmon Nicoise salad that was as light as it was filling. As soon as I read it off the menu I knew I was destined to order the homemade gnocchi with lamb ragu. And with its lentils, Greek yogurt, curry and naan bread alongside the perfect pillows of pasta and saucy lamb made for a perfect marriage between Italian and Indian cuisine. Combine all of the above, and add in international wines and handcrafted cocktails for when you aren't having having a good coffee filled wake up lunch, and you have a beyond solid mall restaurants that rivals most regular restaurants that I've been to!

Warm Asian Glazed Salad with Salmon

I forgot how delicious the Bazille Burger was. Absolutely fulfilling. Sharp white cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, peppercorn aïoli on a toasted artisan bun. I substituted the herbed french fries and kalamata aïoli dip for sauteed broccolini. Delicious! I am hoping the dining room will be open soon. I miss eating in. Beyond pleased with todays experience!

My girlfriends and I had brunch here over the holidays, and I really enjoyed the food and service. Our hostess was very helpful and checked on us and our food. The food was delicious and came out in a timely fashion. Would love to try their other dishes next time.

Always come here with my husband for a quick drink before we browse the mall, the service is always good. The drinks are always great. Ambiance is cozy and relaxing. Highly recommend!

cilantro lime shrimp salad, interesting but delicious!
Rachel F.

This place fascinates me because it's in the middle of Nordstrom and I don't think I've ever seen more than two tables filled at a time. I like their salads, they all seem to have a mixture of things I wouldn't expect to see in a salad together but it works somehow

Server was nice but you could tell they were understaffed that night and sat too many tables at once. Once we sat done down and given water it took a while before our server appeared. The pacing was off and there were long periods between our order and apps, entree, and dessert. - bread service: kind of expensive ($13) for 5 pieces of bread and a dollop of each dipping sauce. Try just bread and butter for $6 - cornbread: delicious but small portion for $14. Also not a fan of the cutting board presentation - kids Mac and cheese: very cheesy ($12) - tiger shrimp risotto: ($34) good flavor but risotto was underdone - fried chicken: ($30) so crispy and cooked perfectly but had an odd spice in there like cinnamon? The star was the fried green tomatoes and the buttermilk ranch! Perfectly fried and crunchy while the tomatoes stayed firm and a very tasty ranch dressing! - dessert: warm cow sugar cookies were nice and warm sitting in butterscotch pudding, very cute! - the toffee in the butterscotch pudding ($11) was super crunchy, wish there were more cubes mixed in - warm chocolate brownie ($15) was missing the creme anglaise? Or the splatter of it was very small? I liked the open kitchen, high ceilings and farm2table concept but be prepared to spend $$$. Some street parking available and metered lot across the street.

All it came with was a side salad, which had 3 cherry tomatoes and onions. They brought the salad out first and then they brought out the fish. For $32, i expected more to come with my dinner. We then order the blueberry cheesecake and the salted caramel cake to go. They were the smallest portioned desserts i have ever seen for $15 a piece. I am a baker and have worked in the food industry for years and i was just appalled at the prices they are charging for the amount of food they give you. I think we were either at the Early Bird Special, or in the group of people who hate New Years Eve partying and all that Bally-hoo, but we were definitely the youngest folks there besides those who were working! Started with the standard Ken's Garden Salad. Top shelf. Nothing bad about this whatsoever. Ice cold, lettuce, tomato, onions, and a most wonderful light dressing. The salad alone would be worth the trip, and I mean that sincerely. We each had a 10 ounce steak. Of course there are all sorts of meats and cuts till get, but red meat is really not my preference whatsoever. That said, I feel silly ordering Fisk or chicken at a steak house - as they say, when in Rome. Nicely prepared, medium, with mushrooms on the side and green beans. Very well done. A compare and contrast, to Davio's. I'd give the edge to Davio's for a more modern menu with a wider array of options. Pricing, I'd say Ken's wins. Upper crust/Downton Abbey feel goes to Davio's. Nostalgia and old friend, Ken's. My takeaway - both are very good. Pricing, product, venue, and the people are what makes Ken's special. Highly recommend a trek. No negatives whatsoever.

This was our first time going since it had opened as the Fireside Tavern. It is fair to say we were underwhelmed. My wife ordered a Dirty Martini and it had a lot of vermouth in it which is not the correct way to prepare it. For an appetizer we got the Calamari which was very good. Crispy and tender with delicious hot peppers added in as well. For the main courses we got the Chicken Piccata severed over Gnocchi which was good but nothing special. Gnocchi were a bit denser than we like. Our other main was the Seafood Paella. On the plus side it had a lot of seafood in it, mussels, Shrimp, Scallops and a white fish. All of the sish was cooked well and was tender and juicy. However it did not appear to be cooked in a Paella pan so you didn't get some of those bites of crispy rice and the seasoning was off it had no saffron or tomatoes like I am used to. It was more like a plain rice that they added peas, carrots, and red pepper. Just didn't taste like any form of the paella that I have eaten previously. We walked into a space that is comfortable and notably quiet for its size, which made it a good option for larger parties or anyone who wants to actually have a conversation without competing with the room. Live music downstairs adds a different dimension to evening visits, and the kitchen stays open until midnight, which makes it a reliable option when other spots have already closed. The nachos are the standout order and the dish most worth building your visit around. They came out loaded and well constructed without collapsing into the pile of soggy chips that ruins most nacho plates. The smash tacos are worth ordering across a few different fillings to get a sense of what the kitchen does well, and the birria tacos in particular have built a following for the depth of flavor in the braised meat and the accompanying consommé for dipping. We tried a few of the other taco options, and they landed on the milder side in terms of seasoning, which was a bit of a letdown compared to the birria. The portion size relative to price also felt a little small on some plates. The ceviche was decent but benefited from some additional flavor, so adjusting expectations on that particular order makes sense. Service was attentive and the pacing of the meal matched the relaxed atmosphere of the room. The staff knew the menu well and offered thoughtful recommendations without being pushy. For a Latin restaurant in Boston that delivers on atmosphere, late hours, and a few standout dishes like the nachos and birria tacos, Lockheart is a solid option worth keeping in mind for a group dinner or a late night meal.
