My husband and I were meeting a friend who was visiting from Dallas, and it was that friend who found this restaurant online. We met him there for lunch. I made a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our friend had a fish sandwich, my husband had the Cristo, and I had a burger. For dessert we all shared tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake. Stopped in for late Thursday dinner en route home to Connecticut from Logan airport. The restaurant is bright & clean. Big screen tv s over the bar had Thursday night football on which made my husband happy. No problem getting a table when we arrived (8:20). We noticed a nice dining area outside too. Service was great - they informed us that the kitchen was closing at 9, so we made sure to put our order in quickly. I had a starter (4 short rib tacos -$16). They were good. Wish the meat had a bit more sauce- it was a little dry. My husband had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Not too hot - quite good. The amount of chicken in the sandwich could have fed a family of 4. We probably won't be back because it was just a stop on our trip. However, if you live in the area - check it out. read more

***2 1/2 stars*** Big miss in our book, unfortunately. My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I stopped by here for a late lunch on our way to Boston this past Friday. We were looking for kind of an edgy gastropub vibe and given that we'd bypassed a lot of the cities in favor of a rural trip up 395, our options were limited. This wasn't too far off of 90 though and was a pleasant trip through a nice residential area (and a few busier local highways). The parking situation is a little dicey - I don't think we came at a typically busy time but there were no spots available in the official parking lot next to the restaurant so we had to cross our fingers and use the nearby apartment parking spots. This restaurant appears to be sort of like a companion piece to a recently built apartment complex (The Buckley Apartments), which I'm not sure I've seen before. Interesting selling point for potential tenants, I guess. This isn't an insult but the restaurant feels a lot like a brand new gentrified apartment - it obviously hasn't been there too long and doesn't feel "lived in," if that makes sense. It's basically one giant room with a slightly upscale vibe. It wasn't quite as busy as I would have assumed given the parking, and we were seated immediately. Maybe part of it is our demo, but we were both pretty disappointed by the options on the cocktail menu. The vast, vast majority look to be targeted toward 25-year-old females (super sweet/sugary, with almost all of them citing a fruit in their name) so our options were limited. We both went with the only drink that seemed to be for grownups, the Blackberry Basil Manhattan, featuring bourbon and blackberry liqueur. It wasn't bad and was definitely the highlight for me at least. It was well mixed and the inclusion of the basil gave it a nice nip. Manhattans aren't my favorite (I just think they're too boozy and normal ones don't have enough flavor to get the gasoline vibe off my palate) but this one was tempered with the blackberry a bit. My chum was also fine with it; her first nip or two prompted yowls about cough medicine but she simmered down quickly. They are VERY boozy though - I gave her almost half of mine since I was driving shortly. So in that regard, the cocktail menu definitely needs to be tinkered with. It's very feast or famine and they need some items on there that aren't diabetic nightmares but also aren't just straight-up booze fests. The food wasn't great. The biggest miss for both of us was the calamari app, which shouldn't be too difficult to score with. The calamari itself needed salt, and that was especially true because the marinara sauce was almost inedible. It was legit cold and tasted like it came out of a can. Really rough, and I think we ate most of the calamari just naked, which is not how nature intended. I did like the arancini (fried risotto balls). That also came with a marinara sauce but thankfully THAT sauce was actually pretty warm. Temperature matters. My chum also got the fish tacos and didn't mind them, but nothing here was noteworthy enough to recommend, honestly. The service was good. We had a young woman who was very friendly and seemed to have the vast majority of tables. She stopped by fairly regularly and was noticeably chipper. No issues there from what I recall. Maybe we just drew the short end of the straw here, but we were just not impressed at all by this place. My gut says people are grading on a curve based on the area and probably lack of other options in this genre. If you're in the middle of a road trip, I'd keep driving. read more

The Buckley is a welcome addition to the neighborhood - a sophisticated eating and drinking spot, with elevated food offerings and clever mocktails. I adore the grilled halloumi salad! There are lots of other dishes to enjoy, as well. The servers, and the bartender, are attentive and prompt. The floor-to-ceiling windows let you see what's going on outside. Visiting from Chicago, I was looking for clam chowder close to our hotel and this looked like something up our alley where my husband could have a meatball sub. Did NOT disappoint! Met a friend for lunch. The Greek Chicken sandwich was delicious. It arrived warm so the feta cheese which topped the chicken was soft and slightly melted. Sandwich comes with fries with an option to substitute with a salad for an up charge. The salad was fresh greens. We also had the fish and chips. The waiter said it was large and it was! We cleaned our plates. The restaurant was busy and filled with families and friends groups of all ages but not too loud. It is located just in from of a large apartment complex. We started with truffle french fries I'm not sure they were worth the price.$11.00 My guest ordered a hamburger add cheese add bacon, add fried egg $20.00 It looked appealing., my guest said they enjoyed it I ordered a pork Gyro ( they also have chicken) with a side salad Mine was good. Writing this mostly to give warning: ***Mosquitoes on the patio are brutal.*** I don't see this mentioned anywhere else in the reviews--it had rained earlier in the day, so maybe made the situation particularly nasty. But our party of four ended up covered in bites, and we couldn't wait to get out of there (like much else here, the check was slow). As to the rest, what can I say? The place is the essence of the term "mediocre." We have been here fairly often. It's very convenient for us. But it's never our first choice. Last time, in fact, it was third: we really wanted to eat outdoors, and two other Framingham places we tried had their outdoor areas closed (heat warning earlier in the day). As always with the food, it was hit and miss. My lobster roll, a menu special, was all I wanted it to be--lobster cooked well and plenty of it-- while the calamari ordered by another person in our party was not good, over-breaded, hard, and not worth eating--left a huge pile of it on the table. We find ourselves declining to-go boxes and leaving piles of food behind on the table fairly frequently here. Yet some of the food is pretty good: I've been able to enjoy the pork gyro handheld. I wish I could offer more guidance, beyond "avoid mosquito-infested patio." Sometimes the food is pretty good, sometimes OK, sometimes pretty bad. Yet we still come back, on occasion. Staff needs training. I came across this place on a SM post and the reviews were great. Since, we were 15 minutes away we decided do drive there and give it a try. Walked in and was seated right away. The portions are BIG, not what we expected. We order few appetizers thinking that we would be able to order entrees as well. The loser who served us, knowing that that was a lot of food instead of making us aware of the BIG portion they have, decided to bring them all together in a small table. He then went back and the whole kitchen staff went on a laughing marathon. Making a scene and the clients at the bar turned to our table staring at us. Every time a staff walks by us they had a smirk on their face. A typical "miserable people" behavior. We ended up leaving more than half of what we ordered on the table and will never go back. I've had three lunches there, all have been spectacular. It's a very cute place, very clean, very modern, well lit, excellent bathrooms, plenty of parking. The weight staff is excellent, the menu is very cool, as a healthy eater, I can get a lot of different things, or I can fool around if I'm in the mood. Today I had a lovely salad with salmon added, my friend had clam chowder and salmon tacos, they were gorgeous. I read a few reviews that said you better make reservations, so I was worried about stopping in on a Saturday night. However, it was practically empty. There were lots of things worth trying on the menu, I settled on the salmon tacos and they were delicious. The beer selection was meh, but there were lots of cocktail choices if that is your thing. We made a reservation for 2 people, called 2 hrs ahead and changed it to 3. We thought that went great, until we got there. Then a young blond hostess, acted like it was our fault their co-worker didn't update the reservation. She then acted like we put her out by even showing up and tried to put us at a table at the bar, where she had to ask the crowd to move away, so she could seat us. I asked to sit an area where there 4 open tables and she rudely commented, No those are for reservations. I reminded her we had a reservation and she still wouldn't sit us there. Came in for lunch on Sunday the 17th. Ordered an omlet with everything, no olives. Bartender asks me if I want ham. To which I say "everything but olives." Pretty simple one would think. Not so. They gave me a ham and cheese. To which I said this is wrong. Bartender (tall, dark-skinned with glasses) proceeded to immediately argue with me that that's what I ordered. I told him that wasn't what I ordered and he was wrong. He then loudly argued with me further that I was "just a patron" and I can't "disrespect" him instead of asking, "how can I fix this?" He also acted threatening with his body language and tone. He also clenched his right fist like he was going to strike me. When I said I spend about 500.00 every two weeks, he said "that doesn't matter. You're just a patron." I have never been so embarrassed in an establishment. At that point I had enough and asked for the manager. Which, of course, he claimed to be the manager (he knew he screwed up and was worried) I then asked for the name of the General Manager to which he angrily gave it to me. Came in for the first time on a Thursday afternoon for our first visit. We sat at the bar. Our bartender Shannon was fantastic. She walked us through the menu and gave some food recommendations. Our first round was their Mai Tai and a Captain & Ginger and we each ordered a cup of their Greek Soup. As pictured, the soup came with delicious toasted bread and it was amazing. The Captain & Ginger was perfect, but the Mai Tai didn't really do it for me (totally a personal preference, there was nothing wrong with it). For our lunch, we tried the burger and quesadilla. The burger was a perfect medium (anyone else tied of burgers being cooked well regardless of how you ask for it?). The quesadillas were massive in size and packed full. They were delicious but no way could we eat them in one sitting. I upgraded to the truffle fries, which I'd skip next time. They were fine, but lacked the "Parmasean Truffleyness" of other restaurants that I was really looking for. With lunch I tried a Maine craft beer that I really enjoyed. The restaurant itself was nice and was very clean. The staff were all very friendly. The patrons were all in their 30s through 50s and casually dressed. We love this local neighborhood gem. The Nashville chicken sandwich is great, better than most other places. Start with the beet and burrata salad or the spinach and artichoke dip, both delicious. I went to the Buckley yesterday after noticing it was a new place on Yelp. We were able to make a reservation for two easily and the staff was incredibly kind. They have a chalkboard with their special which was nice to see and ponder before our waitress came back. The restaurant wasn't too busy but the bar seats were full. It wasn't too loud and it's a very standard American cuisine location. The tables were spaced out which also helped in having conversations. I got the mezcal strawberry basil margarita which was outstanding. We got the clam chowder and spinach dip for starters. The chowder wasn't at thick as we hoped but overall still fine. I really really liked the spinach artichoke dip. The pita was warm and soft with a crunchy outside. We got the burger and shrimp tacos for our mains which were both good. The toughest part was the parking. There is probably enough room for maybe 15 cars? There is some parking at the leasing office next door but it as full. I hope they expand their parking. Otherwise a pretty enjoyable time. Two appetizers, two cocktails and two entrees came to a total of $80 or $40 each. read more
