Our server was very sweet as she was serving a table of 14 girls on separate checks, so she did an outstanding job. The food, however, was fairly disappointing in terms of price and quality. I got the appetizer wings as my meal and it was $19.99. We got bogo margaritas with the party pass key west app (I do not recommend buying the $15 party pass, it didn't end up saving us any money) and the second margaritas were way too sweet and syrup-y as if they didn't put any tequila in them. We could hardly drink them! The restaurant was very nice and themed very touristy which was fun, but if you're looking for a good meal this is not the place. read more

As a Jimmy Buffett fan, you can't visit Key West without stopping by here. Nice place, clean and neat. Service at the bar was great. I had eaten dinner already but I had a nice beverage, the Perfect Margarita. It was excellent. The bartender was nice and we conversed a bit , and he showed some pictures on his phone from one of the last times that Jimmy had played there. Of course there's also the gift shop . We thought it was ironic that we'd be stopping in Key West on our cruise just days after Jimmy Buffet passed away. Of course it made us want to stop by Margaritaville to toast to his memory. Unfortunately we found the experience to be lacking. The service wasn't real attentive and the restaurant itself is rather small and nothing special other than packing in the tables to maximize patrons. We waited a really long time just for our first round of drinks. It seemed obvious that something didn't go correctly with our order and the server didn't seem too concerned or willing to see how she could get our order straightened out at the bar. When the drinks finally arrived, they were a nice way to quench our thirst with the high heat and humidity. We didn't order a lot of food. What we did have was just ok in flavor and definitely not worth the price tag the Margaritaville brand put on them. If you want to enjoy eating while watching big screen videos of Jimmy singing over the years and reminisce, I'd suggest just have a drink and find another place for a meal. Or you could go to the attached gift store to pick up a tee shirt and then peak inside to the restaurant. read more

Service was super friendly and our server made some great recommendations. It's super touristy so expect to wait for a table for at least a few minutes in the off hours and be sat pretty close to other tables; they really try to fit everyone in there and maximize the space as much as possible. That being said, the prices are high but the food portions are a good size. We split the nachos and each had a margarita as an afternoon snack and left feeling very full and satisfied. Was excited to try a Margarita at Margaritaville...... I know my liquor and trust me....... There was not a drop in it lol. Ontop of the drink being so tiny it only took a few sips and it was gone. Credit the hostess for caring about getting us a table, her actions proved worthy by having a keen sense of when guests were about to leave. 10 minutes later we were seated and drinks on the way. Great music, of course Jimmy Buffet style, fun vibe, and the anchors were really good.....but not great. Our Five O'Clock Somewhere drink was very good. We could taste the alcohol which is always a good sign. I would have liked to see it served in a glass, though. We also ordered Cajun shrimp dip which we were really excited about trying. Unfortunately we needed a microscope to find any shrimp in there. It had good flavor but the amount of shrimp was pathetic. Too much cheese and probably only 2 small pieces of shrimp in the entire dip. We would not order this again. Thank goodness the drink was at least good. We ended up leaving after these as we suspected a dinner might be disappointing as well. Nice screen with Jimmy Buffett videos playing but we would not return. Even the gift shop was disappointing...not much of a selection. Definitely a place you come more for the vibe than the food but not bad. I've been to a couple locations and the food seems standard to other locations. We came on a Thursday night around 6PM and it wasn't crowded. Service was prompt. Shared the burger in paradise with bacon and my son had the kids mac and cheese. It was standard box mac and cheese, but he ate well and enjoyed the large tv screen they had playing concert clips, music, and ocean scenes. A very chill dinner after a busy day in Key West. We always stay at the resort but it's always good! They have an excellent restaurant, especially for being in a hotel. The fish sandwiches and burgers are especially good. Their breakfast menu is pretty good as well. The Key Lime pie is truly the best in the Keys. It's very nice and right by the pool, with both outdoor and indoor eating options. First off RIP Jimmy. No one played Cheeseburger in Paradise quite like you. Service, food, and drinks were all great at the OG location, but they only played Cheeseburger in Paradise fifteen times. My ideal Margaritaville experience is at least twenty Cheeseburgers in Paradise, maybe even thirty. Key lime pie was better than expected, like Jimmy himself was making them in the back. If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the absolute worst dining experience I ever had. The server did not come back to the table after taking orders. AT ALL. My party had to go to the bar to get the drinks we ordered. (Not standard practice; servers delivered other drinks to tables.). The server continued serving the tables around us, and pretended to not see us waving to get attention/turned around, etc. We were made to wait about 45 mins after dining to receive a check and only got it finally by walking to the kitchen! Since I had previously worked at a margaritaville, I was quite eager to try the original margaritaville; nevertheless, I was really let down. I've never tasted a margarita this sweet and sugary. In fact, every drink at my table tasted so sugary that it was almost entirely syrupy rather than fresh. Although the nachos were quite substantial and tasty, their cost was crazy for regular nachos. The atmosphere and floor simply seemed worn out and unclean. The majority of the building's tables and chairs were quite uncomfortable and shaky. The service was just okay, as our server also had to make the drinks himself behind the bar. The live music duo that amused my table was the only aspect of Margaritaville that I found enjoyable. Expect a colorful bar, fairly priced drinks and average food. but the vibe is cool. go here for the 18 dollar Volcano nachos. it will feed 4 people, it will go with an assortment of colorful cocktails and light colored lagers and ales, it will be some of the better nachos on the island (poorer nachos at Lucy's and better meat nachos at Amigos. sit by the window and people watch...... also the fried pickle chips are good. the bread seems to be part corn meal and tempura making them light yet a bit textured. i've had some of their entrees in the past but now just stick to these reliable favorites or a burger which is pretty good as well. read more
