It was one of those meals where you immediately know you picked the right place. We enjoyed it so much that we came back later for happy hour and dinner, and somehow it was just as impressive. The staff made us feel right at home again. Ordered this shrimp and grits special based off the reviews I read about how good it was. It's not on the menu but apparently it's a common special they offer. It was good I enjoyed it. Not super flavorful but it was enjoyable. We were a big group for brunch and our server was awesome and so fun. He was really attentive with great energy. Well, we went here for breakfast when we were staying in Key West for a week my wife had heard good things about this place. First day we tried the place was unexpectedly closed to a kitchen issue. We went the next morning and tried it, and it was open a very nice gentleman welcomed us in and it wasn't quite busy yet. My wife and I decided to share eggs Benedict with potatoes and I ordered the extra side of grits wow everything we tasted was excellent. The atmosphere located in a quaint, historic house is also fantastic. I recommend this place for breakfast in a laid-back experience The host and waitstaff take great care of you and are very polite and nice. I want to like Sarabeth's, I really do. I've tried it now three times and always left underwhelmed. This morning we stopped by for brunch. My husband ordered the sweet sampler, which the server immediately suggested swapping almost everything out on. Not really a good look. I ordered shrimp tacos and breakfast potatoes. The shrimp tacos were good but had very little shrimp and tons of filler. The potatoes were so salty they were inedible. The service was efficient but not particularly friendly. Geri was a great server! The food here is outstanding. You will definitely not leave hungry. Outstanding flavor of the grits, homemade strawberry jam and the biggest cup of coffee you have ever seen. The ham was nice and thick but it was cold, still good though. The eggs over medium were cooked a little too fast as the whites were a tad crispy. On an excruciating hot day we decided to have brunch and get out of the sun and were very lucky that we found Sarabeth's. With both indoor and outdoor seating we chose the air conditioned indoor which had very nice tropical feel with bankettes with colorful paintings and pillows making us feel outdoors while cooling indoors. My daughter ordered a lemonade. It was disgustingly sweet and not that great in general. When I got the bill they charged $10 for that crap. Imagine lemon juice, water, and sugar then not knowing how to make a proper recipe of it and then absolutely f'ing the customer in the name extracting as much cash from the poor tourist as possible. Absolutely DELICIOUS breakfast spot in Key West! My family visited about 9am on a weekday morning and were able to be seated right away on the patio which was really beautiful! My husband and I started with spicy bloody marys- very good! Never in my life have I ordered eggs Benedict and when it arrived in front of me I thought to myself, "where's the rest of it!?" But the mimosa flavors are unique and different. Nicolas provided awesome service and was very knowledgable about the menu, he provided excellent recommendations. The food was delicious. I tried - Lobster Spinach Omelette - Generous amount of fresh lobster and avocado. I think there was also spinach in here as well as a delicious light tomato based sauce. This was very flavorful. I loved that it came with a blueberry muffin as well, which was a nice sweet contrast to the savory omelette. This isn't on their menu, it was a special. 5/5 ($28) Their coffee was exceptionally good as well. I also tried their surf and turf Benedict which was tasty. Mimosas were good but on the pricey side. They don't do reservations, so you will have to wait a little bit but the wait goes quickly. We started off with their fresh watermelon mimosas and they were delicious! My husband got the blood Mary and said that was really good too. I ordered their special for the day, which was a cheese grits bowl with crab, sausage, shrimp and a poached egg. To die for!!!
