I take my poodles to Margos on a regular basis. They di a good job. But it takes a while, good jobs must take time..lol

Initially I thought they did a great job, my man looked fantastic. A few hours after I brought my little man home from his grooming, he couldn't stop licking his genital area. Again, I credited it to a recent hair cut and dry skin. The next day I realized they gave him razor burn and even made a small cut on his genital area. After his anal gland expression he also had a hard time having a bowel movement and even had some razor burn around that area. I had a better experience at Petsmart sadly. That said, their daycare area looked like fun (and was clean) and my dog seemed to enjoy playing with the other pups. read more

I've been taking my cat here for a few months and I adore this place! They have the best service, my cat is never even stressed to go, and the price is completely fair. This was our first visit to Margo's... My min-pin is a rescue who has been abused, and is wary of strangers... Margo was very good with him and he immediately took to her! The facility is very clean, well laid out and has an open floor plan; they don't kennel or isolate the dogs before, between or after grooming, unless they are dogs that "don't play well with others", in which case they're either kept separate by size or temperament. They aren't stacked in cages or portable kennels that you worry aren't cleaned very often, like the last groomer I visited, or kept tied to tables while they try to escape, barking and crying the whole time they're groomed, until they drag you bodily out of the local PetsMart, or other "big-box pet store, where the turnover is so high, your dog won't readily go in the front door! (I've had 80 pound labs go into a vet easier than getting my 11-lb min pin into PetsMart's groomers; he plants all four feet on the plastic mat just inside their door, posing just like a poisonous dart frog, then tenses his body... Making me look like one of the stupidest humans alive when I don't notice! I keep walking and get violently jerked backwards by one arm and almost off my feet, all by a tiny little, flattened out dog!!!) anyway, he thought about splitting from Margo's, but actually went willingly into Margo's arms, and for the first time in six YEARS, did not bark or cry when I left! Remarkable!!!!! Three hours later, after a full grooming, I received a first visit discount, while she explained what went well and what was tougher (she had to Dremel his nails personally; he wouldn't let the other gal do it... Idk if that was before or after his bath and attempt at blow drying... I forgot to tell them not to even try drying him, he hates vacuums, too, lol) so I wasn't charged for air-drying, which turns him into a puffball for 2 days, but he's clean, so who cares? And the best part? She costs just slightly over half the price I've spent at other places... Even if it were $10 more, I'd gladly pay for all that's included, as she reported he just ran around and played for 2 hours, while he dried! He came home in a bandanna, but it fell off while we played... All in all? Nice place, great experience for both me and my picky dog, and a more-than-reasonable price. A+! read more

I am "small business traditional" when it comes to my dogs' grooming. I took my dachshund/Maltese mix to Margo's Pet Spa a few days ago and they did a fantastic job. My little guy was so terrified and they babied him and took great care of him. The haircut was great also. They did the perfect teddy bear face on my dog. He is a type of breed that doesn't shed much, so his feet can become matted pretty easily. They trimmed and cleaned up his feet so well, and they are no longer irritating him. Having just moved to Arizona from Oregon, I had to find a new groomer for my Yorkie. I have to say that I feel extremely fortunate to have found Margo's on my first try. It took about three hours, which is average for my Yorkie, and she looks gorgeous! I know the heat is hard on her, so we went extra short, and I could not be happier! Thank you so much! We took our little Avery in for the first time last week. She's a bit of a handful...she is 12 and needs medication to calm her before getting her hair done. The staff at Margo's couldn't have been nicer! They kept her in a separate area, knowing that she is a bit of a nervous dog. They also took care around her face, where she is most sensitive. The result was an adorable cut for our little stinker! We have two other dogs but knew that if they could handle Avery, they would do great with our boys. Their prices were comparable and they even gave me a discount for being a first time client. We'll be back! read more

I have been going to margo's pet spa for 10 plus years When Margo actually owned this place she was so good with our pets. I make my appointments in advance as I did this time I walked in day before Thanksgiving when they scheduled me and they said I had no appointment they claim Wendy the Owner called and left me a message which they did not, they lied, i checked my phone records, here it is the day before Thanksgiving I have people coming that are allergic to pets, they refused to groom them after having an appointment for 2 months. This place has truly gone downhill since Margo sold the place, The haircuts have not been as they used to be purred per breed I always have to go back and ask them to fix a haircut but I still always tipped add they are my 4 legged fur babies. After failed attempts to get my Pomeranians hair short for the summer, I stumbled across margo's on Yelp and decided to give it a try. My Pom puppy is afraid of anything that makes noise so other groomers have been unable to get his hair short, but have still charged me for the unnoticeable trim they were able to give him with scissors. I was worried that he would have the same problem here and that I would be charged for a full haircut again. When i picked him up he was absolutely perfect and happy! They did an amazing job with him and found a loyal customer in me! I love that they don't use kennels to keep them in while they wait to be picked up. He ran around and played with the other puppies. Love this place. Cage free. They really care about dogs. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's very expensive and my dog has an allergic reaction after getting washed when I specially requested hypoallergenic shampoo. But I love the idea of a cage free environment. read more

Took very good care grooming my pups. No razor rash anywhere. Cute hair cuts which had to have been a challenge as my babies were somewhat matted. We will return. My dog didn't even look like the same dog. . That's how well he was groomed. The perfect little teddy bear head cut. And he was super soft and silky afterwards.
