The pizza and wings are my favorite! Honey old bay wings are amazing! They also sell slices which are a nice size. Normally one slice is enough especially for lunch. There a couple tables outside to eat on nice days and a few inside. It's not fancy or anything but it definitely has a nice vibe and is in walking distance to the inner harbor. I went to this place for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised! The owner was extremely friendly and courteous. The building was clean and reminded me of the pizzerias we used to go to during my childhood. I don't eat pork, and was pleasantly surprised that they had BEEF pepperoni so o I ordered a pizza, half cheese and half beef pepperoni and some zucchini fries. Went to Maria D's in Federal Hill recently. This eggplant parm sub was right on the money! I've had a sub there once before and just like last time, this one was very tasty. I got it on a wheat sub roll and the eggplant to bread ratio was perfect! Great portion size for the money and lots of cheese also. Maria D's in my experiences definitely doesn't skimp on portions. So thanks to Yelp I've been trying to find the best Italian cold cut maker in Baltimore. So my hunt lead me to my favorite pizza place in town. Maria D's easily has one of the top 5 pizzas in town (no debate). Only reason it doesn't get the top spot is cause I've yet to try all of them. This place is a must try to any visitors of our town. But I will warn you the parking like most of the great food places here is brutal. You will either have to walk a few blocks or circle a few before you grab a nice spot. But once you accomplish that mission I promise you will not be disappointed with the pizza. The slices are huge & delicious. But to my surprise the Italian cold cut was good too. A perfect meat to bread ratio plus the exact amount of mayo so that when you bite into it you're not making a mess. This made my day cause now I can come here for more than the pizza, & chicken cheesesteak on pita. But the best part was the price I literally got a slice of pizza, cold cut, & Gatorade for $16. We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Kind of a hidden place if you don't know it's there. We split a Philly cheesesteak and a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was pretty tasty! Good sauce to cheese ratio, not too greasy and a decent crust. The sauce was a little on the tangier side and I prefer mine sweeter. I'd still say it was one of the better slices I've had in Baltimore. The cheesesteak was equally delicious. The meat was moist and had amazing flavor. Fresh sub roll and a good amount of cheese. While I've been a fan of Maria D's for well over a decade, last night I was really disappointed. So much so that my 5-star rating had to be bumped down to a 3-star. My mistake was placing my order 'online'. I went to the shop and hurriedly picked up my order and left. I ordered veggie Pizza and as usual it was perfect. I ordered a cheesesteak sub with everything no tomatoes and it was perfect. I also ordered a large Greek salad and a slice of yellow sheet cake with chocolate icing. The pizza was so good, as usual, that I didn't bother to eat the salad until the next day. When I open the salad, the cucumbers, peppers, and onions were all mushy and wilted... they had a slime to them as if they've been sitting cut for days, breaking down. CRIME!! The lettuce on top didn't look fresh but it didn't look horrible. Upon lifting the lettuce the rest of the lettuce was brown and disgusting - completely oxidized. CRIME!!! The only thing in this container not broken down we're the pepperoncinis. CRIME CRIME CRIME!!! I was so pissed after throwing it out, I figured I'd have the cake. I take my FIRST forkful. I work down the street, so Maria D's would be very convenient for a quick lunch pickup or after work food option. I ordered a simple turkey club sandwich online to be scheduled for pickup ASAP. It takes me about 10 min to walk there, so I figured it might be ready for me when I get there, or I wouldn't have wait long. I arrive and there is no one waiting for anything. No line. So I figured that was good, the kitchen wouldn't be backed up or busy to make my simple order. I let the man know I was there for an online pickup, and paid with credit card. No issues here. Then I waited. A couple people came in and ordered, and we all hung out. I didn't order anything complicated. A turkey club. I waited another 25 minutes at Maria D's. I even went to the counter after 15 min asking about my order, and he said it was coming. A total of 40 minutes from when I submitted online to bag in my hand for a turkey club. Update: tried the pizza and wasn't disappointed! It's hard to find good pizza in Baltimore and this is actually one of the better places I've tried. Definitely not NYC standards, but way better than the other options in this city. The pizza was pretty greasy so after a good old standard napkin blot, it was good to go. Definitely let it cool down before eating or else you'll get the the entire topping of cheese in one mouthful. The crust is crunchy and doughy at the same time, and it's great dipped in the marinara that comes with an order of mozzarella sticks. The chicken tenders were fried to perfection, and come with Ken's honey mustard upon request. The fries could have been a little crispier, but it's hard to get great fries anywhere for delivery. The mozz sticks were great: on the GrubHub app you can pick a variety of cheese options, but we went with standard mozzarella. Not sure if that's an app fluke since they didn't seem homemade. Still great through. Only complaint is that the styrofoam containers melted together due to the heat of the food. Non-styrofoam options would be better! read more

Pizza is pretty good and it's close to my house but if service is what you're looking for skip it but let's be honest the customer service is completely trash in all of Fed Hill. Anywho, I've used Maria D's website to preorder a few times despite being told the food is ready it never is. When I asked for clarification today the young man who works the register seemed annoyed that I would even expect my order to actually be ready to be picked up. At least let me know my food isn't done before I pay. I know that Baltimore hates black people but considering that's all I ever see at Maria D's one would assume they would just be better. I been coming to this place for 20 years. Today I order a 9 in chop fish. It was trouble. where is the fish. never again.

The online ordering system allowed me to place an order that would be delivered between 10:00-10:10AM. I received a call at the time of delivery stating that the restaurant didn't open until 10 AM so they would not be able to deliver at that time. They said they would make the order & deliver within 20 minutes. The order was time sensitive. I asked about a discount for the inconvenience & was told the owner would reach out. Long story short, she told me she didn't know why their website allowed me to place an order for that delivery time, I should have called it in 48 hours in advance (that was not indicated anywhere), she would not refund any of the order because they did nothing wrong. She was rude on top of everything. I have been patronizing this establishment for years as an individual. After this experience where I was spending a lot more money than I would normally spend as an individual, I will never set foot in this establishment again. read more
