The pizza and wings are my favorite! Honey old bay wings are amazing! They also sell slices which are a nice size. Normally one slice is enough especially for lunch. There a couple tables outside to eat on nice days and a few inside. It's not fancy or anything but it definitely has a nice vibe and is in walking distance to the inner harbor. The staff is always friendly and they have good service! I definitely will keep coming back!

I went to this place for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised! The owner was extremely friendly and courteous. The building was clean and reminded me of the pizzerias we used to go to during my childhood. I don't eat pork, and was pleasantly surprised that they had BEEF pepperoni so o I ordered a pizza, half cheese and half beef pepperoni and some zucchini fries. The pizza was so good until I forgot to take a picture lol. I did get a picture of the fried zucchini (after eating some lol), they were delicious as well. Prices were good as well.

Went to Maria D's in Federal Hill recently. This eggplant parm sub was right on the money! I've had a sub there once before and just like last time, this one was very tasty. I got it on a wheat sub roll and the eggplant to bread ratio was perfect! Great portion size for the money and lots of cheese also. Maria D's in my experiences definitely doesn't skimp on portions. I also love the option that you can eat inside as well. After a fun night out, they are open late with a large menu to choose from as well. If you need a good sub, be sure to visit Maria D's! Sandwiches pizza and pastas are all available also. I don't get downtown too often but when in Fed, Maria D's is a place I can count on!

This is him on his phone

Very disrespectful, when i was trying to order pizza he kept rushing me when there is no line. and said we couldn't dine in even though there were kids sitting right there vaping. He also was cussing my friend out while she was taking her order and was texting on his phone.

    Italian Cold Cut Sub

So thanks to Yelp I've been trying to find the best Italian cold cut maker in Baltimore. So my hunt lead me to my favorite pizza place in town. Maria D's easily has one of the top 5 pizzas in town (no debate). Only reason it doesn't get the top spot is cause I've yet to try all of them. This place is a must try to any visitors of our town. But I will warn you the parking like most of the great food places here is brutal. You will either have to walk a few blocks or circle a few before you grab a nice spot. But once you accomplish that mission I promise you will not be disappointed with the pizza. The slices are huge & delicious. But to my surprise the Italian cold cut was good too. A perfect meat to bread ratio plus the exact amount of mayo so that when you bite into it you're not making a mess. This made my day cause now I can come here for more than the pizza, & chicken cheesesteak on pita. But the best part was the price I literally got a slice of pizza, cold cut, & Gatorade for $16. In these covid times it almost felt like I was stealing. Definitely recommend this place down Fed Hill as a destination to eat during your spring & summer travels.

    Cheese Pizza Slice

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Kind of a hidden place if you don't know it's there. We split a Philly cheesesteak and a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was pretty tasty! Good sauce to cheese ratio, not too greasy and a decent crust. The sauce was a little on the tangier side and I prefer mine sweeter. I'd still say it was one of the better slices I've had in Baltimore. The cheesesteak was equally delicious. The meat was moist and had amazing flavor. Fresh sub roll and a good amount of cheese. Highly recommend. Check it out if you're in the area!

The calamari was perfectly breaded and crispy. The hummus had a great blend of garlic, parsley, a bit of cayenne and red chili flakes with lemon and paprika. All these ingredients make a plain hummus extra tasty. Our two main entrees consisted of the broiled Atlantic salmon with asparagus and Greek potatoes and the Yero plate containing rotisserie beef and lamb slices serviced over pita, with tzatziki, and salad. The salmon was impressively at the perfect temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire meal. The Yero plate had the best slices of beef and lamb. They were soft and absolutely well prepared. Our dinner was accompanied with two musicians who played lovely traditional Greek songs. The music was not too loud and we were able to have a nice conversation at our table. Service was a tad slow towards the end of our meal. We were seated in the basement and there was a time when not a single server was on the floor. Water service was lacking and odd -- we waited quite some time for a refill and when someone did come, only one of us got the refill when we both needed water! Still, I loved the food and atmosphere. Parking: Plenty in the back of the restaurant.

Cons: The service was not great. They have lots of staff--someone to light the candles, someone to bring the water, someone to take our order, someone to bring out the appetizer, someone to bring out drinks, someone to bring out entrees, etc. But there was very little follow up along the way. Our waters never got filled again. Our server took our drink order right away, but took a long time to come back to take our food order. Despite that, we still got our drinks well after the appetizer came out. The next time we saw the server was when we were done eating. The food should have been better for the price as well. We shared the grilled halloumi cheese appetizer. The cheese was cold by the time it got to us, and the plate came with two small olives--just two. At that point, don't bother. I had the bronzini, which had a good flavor, but was mostly skin. There was very little fish attached to two filets. My wife had the scallops. The entree came with five or six (can't remember exactly) medium-sized scallops. My wife described them as "forgettable," with very little thought to presentation (some of the scallops were laying on their side on the plate. The asparagus was overcooked. Unfortunately we both left still kind of hungry, and definitely put off.

We started with Saganaki, which included pita. It was flambed table side and delicious, we all loved it. We also had Calamari, I don't eat it but husband and daughter really enjoyed it. For entrees, husband had the special (filet mignon w/crab cake and shrimp on top), that came with mash potatoes and veggies. The steak was good but undercooked, the crab cake was good. Daughter had the pasta, she didn't really love it. I had the lamb shank with orzo. I don't usually like lamb but it was very tender and didn't have the aftertaste that usually comes with lamb. The service was very good, waiter was very attentive, replenished waters often and made good suggestions. Although we liked the restaurant, we felt that as a Greek restaurant there should be more Greek styled pork, chicken dishes. We also felt that some items were overpriced, specialty dish was $75, rib eye was $68, lamb shank was $55, roasted chicken was $39, etc. We will not return for another dinner, but might consider going for lunch to get gyros and Saganaki.

So you know I had to oblige and suggested that we try Estiatorio Plaka in Greektown. I always love venturing over to Greektown for some really good Greek food. And if you like Greek wine, their wine list is really extensive. Every wine on their list is carefully chosen from Greek regions to complement our menu, highlight its unique character, and bring an authentic taste of Greece to your table. We pretty much went straight to dinner we both wanted fish this particular evening. I had the LAVRAKI (BRANZINO) which was grilled with capers and oregano and my date wanted the snapper (LITHRINI (RED SNAPPER) , he loves snapper. Both dishes come with a choice of two sides which you can swap out. I chose the horta(field greens) and rice, my date chose the broccolini and roasted potatoes. To be honest the broccolini and roasted potatoes are your best bet. The horta was a tad bland for my liking and really need some seasoning. The rice was ok. For dessert we shared the baklava cheesecake. Soooo good. Baklava is my fave Greek dessert. They also have a nice cocktail and wine list. I plan on returning because they have a really nice happy hour with $1 oysters, $12 fish tacos and $7 espresso martini's, so that alone I am sold on. The decor in here is absolutely stunning, and they also have a really nice bakery to grab some desserts to take home if you like.
