Maria handled the floral arrangements for our recent wedding at Madrona Manor. Out of all of our vendors, she is the only one we had zero complaints about. On the contrary, I can't count how many wedding guests commented on the beautiful flower arrangements we had---- the special touches she did like putting a special rose called "the prince" in my brides bouquet, and having my boutonnier be "the prince" rose which matched beautifuly, and my groomsmen had very stylish ones as well. She is easy to work with, professional, and a true master of all things floral. I sat back and my (fiance at the time) and her mom went to work talking flowers, what they liked and didn't like, and Maria designed an assortment of ideas for the dining area, ceremony area, and beyond--- and made her vision into a beautiful reality that made our wedding extra special. I didn't know she was going to do this, but when the guests went in the mansion to dance, she took the flowers out of the vases and arranged them in to-go cups so guests could all take the table arrangements home with them. It was something my mom and I were discussing but we thought it would be too hard to deal with, but we were surprised to see she handled that for us and I don't think we ever even mentioned that to her. Maria was one of my favorite vendors to work with for my wedding, and here's the stunner - I never met her until our wedding day! I selected her because she worked at my venue before, was able to work with my budget and with my initial ideas. She was absolutely professional from beginning to end. She was delightful to communicate with in emails - prompt response and never made me feel like I was nagging or asking too many questions, where I added and deleted items many times throughout. We did have issues with what was available floral and greenery wise coming up to my wedding day, but she was very prompt in letting my know if we needed to consider back up choices. I'll be honest when I first saw my bouquets the day of, it was not what I expected - it had WAY more flowers then I thought I was going to get for my budget! lol. I loved my bridesmaids bouquets, almost gasped when I saw my ceremony arch garland, and just loved how she had everything go together. I don't know what took me so long to write Maria a review. My husband and I met with Maria in 2013 to have her do all the floral design for our wedding. She came highly recommended from our caterer who I trusted. She did not disappoint. My husband and I went in with absolutely no knowledge of flowers. All I knew is I didn't want to spend a fortune and would like light pinks, whites, and greens. She came up with the most beautiful bouquets for me and my bridesmaids. The groomsmen had cute and simple boutonnieres. She also made arrangements for other family members as well as all the tables, provided flowers for our cake, and made our arch. Her work was amazing. I recently worked with Maria to order my bouquets & boutonnieres for my wedding and couldn't have been happier with the results and overall service. Right from the start, she was quick in her communication and her proposal was very clear. I found her pricing to be very competitive compared to other quotes I received, especially for the quality of the flowers. The month before the wedding she was kind enough to call me and alert me that one of the flowers I had my heart set on was unseasonably out of stock and she didn't want me to worry because she would replace it with something similar. It meant so much to me that she gave the heads up in advance rather than the day of the wedding! She also worked with me to arrive early the day of the wedding to help me secure some charms I was integrating into my bouquet. The flowers, especially the bouquets, were absolutely perfect and exactly what I had hoped they would be. Every detail that I had given her was clearly taken into account and I couldn't have been happier. We loved working with Maria for our Sept 2019 wedding in Healdsburg. Maria was recommended to us by our wedding planner as someone who could do more flexible floral arrangements, e.g. greenery for some of the tables instead of flowers to keep the budget down. She provided that no problem, and did an amazing job with the rest of the flowers as well! I loved the bridesmaids bouquets and boutonnieres - we went with a green & white color scheme, and she had little succulents in the boutonnieres - so cute. My bouquet was very large - I actually wish it had been slightly smaller, but for the price, I certainly got a lot of flowers ;) and they were all gorgeous. She also included 2 white freesia for my hair which were absolutely perfect, and petals for our flower boy, all for free. Our total flower bill was very reasonable given the craziness of wedding florals, and she was just super easy to work with throughout - prompt and thoughtful and flexible. Maria came highly recommended to my husband and I by the wedding coordinator at our venue, Stryker Sonoma. Needless to say, we were thrilled to have found her! Not only is she extremely professional, she is also patient and really listens to what you want when you explain your vision to her. When we met with her, she had some "old" flowers to show us from a wedding she had done that weekend, but I couldn't have been able to tell the difference if they were old or new because they were so beautiful. She said they weren't up to her normal standard, so I was already impressed by how meticulous she seemed. For our wedding she was able to work with our budget, while delivering flowers that went above and beyond my expectations. She used the best possible quality of flowers for our wedding, plus she knew how to put them together flawlessly. One thing that really stood out to me on my wedding day was the way she handled my bouquet. My husband and I got married in June 2015 in Geyserville and it was pretty warm (in the 90's) when I was doing my "romantic" photo shoot before the ceremony. My bouquet was made of all white peonies and Maria told me that as soon as I took it outside the blooms would probably explode in the heat, which they did. Luckily, Maria knew what she was doing so she brought plenty of backup flowers for my bouquet and she quickly reassembled my bouquet for me when I came back from my photo shoot, so that it would be perfect for the ceremony. I could go on and on about how wonderful Maria is, and out of all of my vendors, Maria (and my photographer, who also happened to be named Maria) stood out to me the most. Maria did the floral design and all of the flowers for my wedding and rehearsal dinner. The flowers for both events were stunning! So many of our guests took pictures of the flower arrangements on the table for our reception dinner. Her designs added the drama to the space we were looking for. Maria is also great to work with. I didn't quite know what I wanted other than the color of the flowers and to use flowers that were in season. She was able to take my minimal ideas and create amazing results! Maria recently did the flowers for our July wedding in Sebastopol, CA. She was absolutely outstanding! From our initial e-mail correspondence, Maria was always incredibly kind, responsive and completely understanding of our flower budget. She assured me that she would work within our budget without compromising the integrity of the design, and she did exactly that! We were going for a soft, vintage/rustic theme for the wedding, and she did the most lovely table centerpieces incorporating mini mason jars and a beautiful rustic urn for our guestbook table. She also brought in the most stunning cafe au lait colored dahlias to decorate our mini wedding cakes. The bridesmaid bouquets were so sweet and pretty, and she did a knockout job with my bride's bouquet....it was insanely beautiful and the gardenia and lavender she incorporated into it had the most wonderful scent!! Even my husband couldn't stop sniffing the bouquet! :) Maria was such a pleasure to work with and really brought our whole wedding design element to life with her gorgeous arrangements. I used Maria for the flowers at my wedding and they were extraordinary! We didn't meet prior to the wedding, I just sent her some inspiration and had some emails back and forth and she totally understood the concept that we were after - I was so impressed! My bouquet was stunning; she had included the exact details that I had asked for. We also had some large accent arrangements, as well as potted herbs and herb stems for the tables, which all looked perfect. AND only a few weeks prior to the wedding we asked for her help with flowers and herbs for the rehearsal dinner venue, and she was so flexible about the short notice! I actually went back to our rehearsal dinner venue prior to the wedding to take pictures of the flowers since the night had been so busy that I didn't get to appreciate them, and I discovered that they were keeping the flowers for the event they were having later that day - how lucky for the next event! I was just glad that more people would be able to enjoy Maria's beautiful work! Maria is so easy to work with, and clearly knows how to interpret her client's vision and bring it to life. I can't praise this florist highly enough! From Maine, I had to plan a rehearsal dinner for an early October wedding in Calistoga, Ca. I was going to make table arrangements myself, but realized about 2 weeks beforehand that I wouldn't have time once I got out there. Several florists were recommended, but Maria was the first to call me and to get me a working proposal. I gave her the color scheme and theme of the evening, and my budget. Everything was delivered on time and the arrangements she put together were perfect - so fresh and beautiful!
