While picky eaters might have a tough time at Sage, foodies and food lovers will appreciate the menu. Service: the waitstaff is young, but attentive and knowledgeable. I feel they will keep getting better over time. Ambiance: you enter through the courtyard, which has plenty of outdoor seating. The interior seating is set for fine dining in a casual manor. Lighting is dim for a romantic dinner yet seating for large parties along the banquette wall is available. Sage is a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion or just a nice night out with loved ones. Highly recommend.

We spent the long weekend in a quaint air B & B just outside of town and experienced everything we could from a train ride to a dive bar to a burger joint in a double wide. Sage was a definite highlight of the celebration. The food was superb. The pork belly appetizer that we shared was unique and delicious. I had the sea bass and my wife had the beef (fork tender). Both had subtle flavors with excellent textures. We both had a dessert. I opted for the chocolate and my wife had the crème brûlée. Both excellent. Highly recommend you find this jewel.

However, looking on the bright side, I have a new excuse to get outside of the city and drive on our gorgeous Georgia mountain roads up into the country. Chris, the owner and known to the locals as "Big", is a grand master when it comes to the art of making delicious gourmet ice cream and he is passionate about his craft. His unique flavors vary regularly but all are made from scratch with fresh, natural and genuine ingredients. As others have remarked, his waffle cones and bowls are made fresh right at the time you order your ice cream! His shop is really nice and adds to the enjoyment. In my first visit I had a waffle cone filled with a scoop of white chocolate raspberry and a scoop of mint chip ice creams. Both were wonderful. Chris will also prepare a set of multiple small cups of ice cream so you can enjoy tasting multiple flavors. Chris is very friendly and will enjoy telling you about his business and how he prepares his ice creams. This is a very unique and exceptional establishment. A must for any ice cream lover.

When we walked in, we waited to be seated, we were standing close to the cash register and kitchen area. As we waited we listed to one of the staff complaining that wasn't a great sign. As we were being seated, we noticed all the cute decor! Someone took a lot of time to make the place look so cute! The waitress was super attentive! Hubby ordered the special, a Meatball sandwich and I ordered a salad with fried chicken tenders... I had to cheat a little bit. That Fried Chicken was calling my name! The food came out after a little bit of a wait. I completely understand because the chicken was fresh. But my poor hubby got a mess of a sandwich. It appears they made the sandwich and it sat while the chicken cooked. It was a soppy soggy mess. The bread was drenched and completely mush. He said the French Fries weren't much better. I asked him if he could eat just the meatballs and he picked up them each up with a fork and each and everyone of them were completely black on one side. Totally burned. Boy I felt bad because my chicken was delicious! This is the reason I added two stars. We went to pay, my husband leaving his hot mess in his plate. The owner was at the cash register, I found this out because she answered the phone while checking us out (stating her name was Julie). She was in such a mood, she was rude to the person on the phone placing an orderIn fact she was even rude to us, she scared the bjesus out of me....so we didn't say a word. I sure didn't want to complain and start an altercation . Hubby will never go back. He was not happy at all. I might go back, maybe with a friend and hope next time is better ‍ Possibly everyone was having a bad day? It was not crowded when we dined, as it was around 2:30pm. We thought this would be an asset, but we were wrong. Here is hoping it was an off day for them. Dine at your own risk my friends. Stay away from soggy sandwiches! Go for the fried chicken
