Stumbled across this charming little dessert spot while walking around town, and I'm so glad we did! We were warmly greeted the moment we walked in and quickly shown to a table. Our waitress was kind, friendly, and gave us a helpful overview of the menu before taking our drink order. We ordered a chocolate milk, a coffee, and the star of the day -- the Secret Garden Apple Cake. It arrived warm, loaded with caramel and real apple pieces. It's definitely a dessert meant for sharing -- huge in size and even bigger in flavor! If you're in town and craving something sweet, this is the place to go. Highly recommend! read more

What a gem of a find! We stayed just around the corner, and so glad we stopped in! We ordered the coconut cake and the apple cake to go, and both were absolutely delicious! My husband commented that it was the best dessert he'd had in awhile (and we've sampled plenty over the years!) The staff was super pleasant, and I guarantee if we weren't heading home tomorrow, we'd be returning for round 2! This is definitely worth wandering across the railroad tracks for! read more

Key Lime Pie is the absolute best! It's light but delectable. Hands down the best key lime pie I've ever had. The coconut cake is good as well but it takes a back seat when compared to the key lime pie. Highly recommend to visit this place when you are in Blue Ridge. Cozy place that serves only desserts. read more

I've been looking for a dessert only restaurant for ages . Not to be confused with a bakery but a place to sit order a yummy dessert and drink after dinner. Well apparently it does exist in Blue Ridge . I can't say enough great things about the experience We wondered over to this lovely spot after a wonderful dinner at the Black Sheep. We ordered the first four thing on the menu . Personally The Key Lime Pie and the Secret Garden Apple Cake were my top favorite. We also ordered a Chocolate lover's & Coconut cake that everyone enjoyed. (I myself not a fan of chocolate or coconut ) but I can and will rave forever about the best key lime pie I've ever had . The Service was also wonderful with the sweetest kindest people running it. We mentioned that we were in town planning a wedding and they wrote the congratulations message on the plate. Such a cute concept and an easy walk off the main road of Blue Ridge. It felt like a local gem and Lisa was serving us, the owner and chef. Lisa takes the dessert drinks up a notch and adds a fun twist on desserts. For example, I ordered plain milk with chocolate sauce on the sides of the cold mug and on the rim. It's my new obsession, so good. The key lime has caramel - just some fun twist that makes this restaurant special. The inside was quiet and spacious. Tables and chairs with three large booths. Just perfect for a last stop before heading home or a night cap. I recommended it to a few friends and can't wait to return. read more

We got a key lime pie slice and a coconut cake slice to go. The desserts were so good we forgot to take pictures! The key like pie is one of the bests I've ever tried. So smooth, silky and decadent! The coconut cake was delicious as well. At first it looked like it was a dried cake, but after tasting it, it was moist, flavorful , just delicious! We didn't finish it all and got the left overs today, still fresh as when we bought it! read more

Go ahead and put on your eating pants and stop in for drinks and desserts, it is completely worth the calories. If you're smart, you park far away and walk to the restaurant, then that cancels all those calories out, right? I lived in Florida for years, and still travel there with my job, and the best Key Lime pie I have had was in Blue Ridge Ga? Not to mention, never seen anything as crazy as salted caramel sauce with Key Lime Pie, but it works! Our drinks, our pie, our cake... all top notch! read more

We went in here at the end of a day of hikes. We were on our way back to our cabin. We just crushed some pizza and really wanted something sweet. So, a Dessert House seemed perfect. We are a family of 5 regular folks and we still felt very comfortable inside. The hostess was super kind. This place has some drinks we didn't try but we would love to some other time. The desserts are certainly well presented and the drinks fancy, such as a red wine with chocolate rim and the lighting low, but the clientele most often offer a more casual vibe. You'll find the servers friendly and willing to offer advice when you are struggling to choose from all of the wonderful desserts on offer. We popped in for dessert and coffee after the art exhibit at the Art Center downtown and were very pleased with our choice. We had an apple cake with coffee that was delicious and decadent. My better half bad a chocolate martini and completed his chocolate overload by having a 3 layer chocolate cake. Fantastic desserts. I got both the chocolate and apple cake and both were fantastic in their own respect. The chocolate cake had a great flavor profile and can be overwhelmingly chocolatey. Does not pair well with coffee unfortunately. The apple cake was amazing and pairs great with a cup of coffee. Expect lots of sugar and a sugar buzz after but it is totally worth it. read more

If visiting or just looking for a little dessert after dinner, this is the wrong place. The desserts are not little! That being said, this I the right place! My girlfriend loved the chocolate cake and it was difficult to pick between the desserts. I will definitely be having a smaller dinner next time in blue ridge so I can stop here to eat dessert properly. read more

Sad to say, the cake was so dry! I ate three bites and let my fiancé finish it. Very clean place and excellent service for two stars. Hopefully it just a bad day for them and their cake isn't really so crumbly and dry on a good day. Not worth $12 or $2. That's too bad. read more

Fantastic place for a nightcap of drinks and desserts. Great for groups, couples, and also families. The decor is really nice. Welcome to the ambiance of Kenny G playing in the background with an upscale dining room feel, but with kids coming into the place with tie dye and unicorn headbands. Lol. If sophistication is what your'e longing for, well, I'm confused. We got to go orders of the mocha and apple cake along with a mini cup with hot fudge drizzle. The apple cale was delicious but only with the ice cream lending a familiar sweetness to the dish. The chocolate cake wa as too grainy in texture, was weird, almost like a gluten free almond flour mouth feel to it. The icing on the chocolate cake though was money. The chocolate cup with ice cream in it, is exactly those two items. The chocolate bowl is very good, the ice cream is good, but the chocolate drizzle is more like ghirardelli chocolate syrup, good but nothing to write home about. Based on my first experience, the customer service was great, the chocolate cup was fantastic, everything else was a "pass" especially for the price. The Sweet Shoppe has much better desserts. read more

Some of the desserts are from family recipes. I prefer a more unique variety of dessert options but they do run specials which seem to change quite a bit. Service, food, and ambiance - EXCELLENT!!! We opened the door and were immediately welcomed with the aroma of coffee that enticed the senses. The host greeted us with a warm smile and walked us over to our table to be seated. The place was noticeably clean and dressed with modern decor, soft lighting, and beautiful rich colored velvet drapes. Our waitress, Lindsey, was absolutely AMAZING! So warm, welcoming, and accommodating. She was very attentive and friendly. We ordered drinks from amaretto hot chocolate, toasted coconut lattes, and a couple special items, to share and taste within our group. We all agreed, everything was delicious! The best part of our dining experience was the service we received - it made us feel like VIP. The food was delicious and the ambiance really enhanced our experience. Covered in cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese with fire roasted poblano peppers, corn salsa, remoulade and green onions. Holy cow. My main I went with the server recommendation of Lobster Ravioli with scallops and shrimp in a black garlic champagne cream sauce. All of this was finished off with some fresh Parmesan cheese over the top. It pays to listen what is recommended. It was fantastic. Exceptional service throughout the meal with charming interaction made the whole experience fabulous. This is going down as a must try when you visit Blue Ridge GA.

The wedding was held in an outdoor pavilion with great views, but during the first week of August quite hot. There are ceiling fans but they didn't help too much - I was sweltering in my jacket and tie by the time the ceremony ended (just be aware if you book something here during the hot season). The second, there are a lot of stairs as you are on the side of a mountain. If you have a hard time traversing a lot of stairs, there are other means of getting around so once again be aware. The main "hall" has windows with fantastic views. I thought the food was exceptional and wish I had taken more photos, but there were a lot of poor lighting (I was seated next to the dance area). My apologies for the missing check in and the lack of photos but I didn't want to be obnoxious at a wedding. Overall I love the rustic charm of this place and plan to return and more fully explore the wine offerings. The view here is absolutely stunning- I can see several other mountains and the storms in the distance. The friendly host us at the register reviewed some wines with me so I chose the Plenitude. It's a blend of steel aged Chardonnay with voignier. It's crisp and perfect for a hot summer day. If you are in the area for an event or a weekend or an overnight, I highly recommend visiting both Mountain Vineyards and Winery.
