First I'd like to say, we are local full-time residents of Bryson City. Not that this should make any difference but to some it may. Everett Street Diner is our most favorite place for breakfast - hands down. Hubby and I have tried many items, none have disappointed. Fresh, hot, correctly cooked, presentation, service, hospitality, coffee, atmosphere, and prices - all are spot on fabulous. The owner - Mr Everett Street Diner ALWAYS greets everyone with a smile and friendly conversation. Family oriented, he welcomes you in, sits you down and makes you feel like you're in his kitchen. If (more like when) you wait for your table, it's never long. The staff bust their butts and don't make you feel rushed at all. This morning we/the restaurant celebrated, as an entire group, the expected January arrival of a little girl, and three birthdays!!! And yes, we ALL sang happy birthday. Well, except for Mr Everett, apparently he doesn't sing and will tell ya so!! Seriously though, if you're looking for a good meal, friendly service, and a place you can't wait to come back to ..... try Everett Street Diner!! Oh, and if you're looking for a little heat and spice? You've GOTTA try their spicy diner relish!!! May be the best diner, to which I've ever been. The fried steak and eggs was easily the best that I've ever had. The gravy was fresh made and not full of cheap salty sausage. The country Benedict featured the best southern biscuit, at a restaurant, that's not mine, that I've ever had. Service was excellent! You're greeted warmly outside and that sets the tone well. If you're looking for a good country breakfast with friendly people, this is the place. Definitely arrive early before 8am, otherwise you'll be waiting for a table. Everything was very tasty. Husband thought his gravy could've been a little hotter. Other than that, no complaints. read more

This place is awesome! Best Grilled Chicken Salad I have ever had. I asked the owner how the chicken tastes like that. He said they use a seasoned grill, so all those different tastes from everything cooked on the grill are mixed in. That taste really popped! And the vegetables were super fresh. I even enjoyed the bacon bits (not like me). I preferred the Thousand Island dressing over the Italian dressing for this meal. I didn't eat the egg (I only eat scrambled eggs). The second trip was more of a breakfast meal and also very strong. Super-fresh fruit, eggs cooked very well done as requested, good bacon, and quality toast. I would give the first meal a 10 and the second meal a 9.4. Both incredibly high. The staff is very friendly, the prices are fair, and they will accommodate anything you want that isn't on the menu as long as they have it. Highly Recommended! read more

The service was excellent and the Diner Club sandwich rates 5 stars by itself. The toasted sourdough bread made the sandwich.

Lovely diner with delicious food, friendly staff and a homey vibe. We stopped in a little after 11 on a Saturday, and had a short wait for lunch. After being seated, the staff came over and let us know the kitchen was switching to lunch, which we planned to get. I opted for the Light Lunch, with a half BLT and cup of chicken noodle soup. My partner ordered the Ruben with sweet potato fries. They are definitely worth the small up charge! We ended with a slice of homemade carrot cake which was large and delicious. This place was absolutely incredible! I decided to have breakfast here my first morning in Bryson City and I was not disappointed. Wait time wasn't bad at all for a Saturday morning. Service was absolutely impeccable-- I've never been treated so well at a restaurant before! I decided to order the breakfast burrito while my partner got the Mountain Man and both were absolutely delicious. The salsa was perfect for the burrito and the pancakes were so soft and buttery. What an outstanding experience! I hadn't been to the diner in 15+ years but recently re-purchased my prior home in Bryson City and we decided to go for lunch. This is our second time eating at the Everett street diner and it didn't disappoint! We missed the breakfast hour but they served a light menu which was perfect. My husband had steak and eggs and I had bacon and eggs. The portions were very generous and everything tasted great. What stands out most is the service from the owner who greets everyone and talks to each table to the servers and other staff- super attentive to every detail. Yesterday we were looking for Breakfast Restaurants in Bryson City and came across Everett's Street Diner. Mind you, it was in-between Breakfast and Lunch transition, the owner was very upfront an honest about it and would try to get us in due to the wait, but was unsure. After a few minutes he was able to get us in for breakfast. Super nice owner, very friendly staff with awesome service, and the food was good as well. This place has always been great for breakfast, but while we were in town visiting, we decided to try it for lunch on my birthday. I ordered a burger with fries and paid extra for bacon. Unfortunately, it was the worst small burger I've ever had. The fries tasted like they were a couple of days old and had dried out, and the bacon was cold and hard. I was very disappointed. Their breakfast is great, but based on this experience, I can't recommend the lunch menu. read more

Comfort food! The waffle was delicious! Eggs were flavorful. Bacon was crispy! Service was great. We had a server for our table, but everyone checked on us. My experience seems to be apart from the norm, but I just wasn't wowed by Everett Street Diner. The staff are perfectly nice, which I sincerely appreciate. The scrambled eggs were fine and cooked perfectly , and kudos to them for not doing the "scrambled eggs should be 1/2 runny" thing. But dang, those sausage patties are literally the worst tasting sausages of my life. And I hate to say that since I read that they're locally sourced. But the smell and flavor was WEIRD. Almost a wet dog food aroma, and the flavor was almost like the meat was completely unseasoned. Also very lean for sausage. The muffin I ordered was really dry, to the point where I'm really glad I had a beverage next to me. I'm glad people love this place, but I'm just not digging it. read more

My family is here for vacation and this is the best lunch we've had yet. Soups were amazing the bacon and potato was my favorite. I ate the grilled chicken cordon blu fanatic Sammy! Starting off, we came on a Bachelor's trip, and the gentleman working (I assume he's the owner) kindly announced his wedding to the guests, asked my buddy a few questions, and shared some laughs with the whole restaurant! It was a very small thing that went a long way for making the seemingly simple breakfast stop a memorable one. Now, the food... amazing. Look at the picture of the Mountain Man plate I've attached to this review. Go ahead, look... Bask in its beauty. Entrance yourself in the magnitude of food. You can guarantee a plate will be eaten clean if it's put in front of me and A.) I'm hungry, and B.) it's breakfast food. But jeez, Everrett Street proved me wrong, all while keeping it around $15. We got there on a Saturday morning (2/13) right before lunch. It was chilly outside and a line awaiting tables (approximately 7-8 groups /couples. A gentleman took our name and gave us approx wait of 20 minutes. They had a standup heater to help take off the chill. He kept checking on us, giving us wait update & calling next customers. Wait was about 25 min. Once we got inside, a server was immediately there taking drink orders then the waitress taking menu order. The food service was fast, correct, hot and delicious! Everything's outstanding, but ... as an old Georgia boy who's had a whole bunch of killer Southern breakfasts in his life, take it from me when I tell you that the star of this show is the gravy. Saturday morning, August 16, 2025. After a terrible experience at Anthony's Derailed the night before, I was relieved to be greeted by our wonderful waitress at Everett Street diner. Not only was she attentive, reassuring and kind, but, she was perceptive. She noticed that my husband had Diet Mountain Dew as his drink and asked him if he wanted sugar free syrup for his French toast. She also knew to ask if didn't want powdered sugar on his French toast since he appeared to be limiting his sugar intake. I really appreciated her kindness and attentiveness.
