We absolutely adore Burger Basket. All hamburgers are handmade and cooked to order. While not on the huge side, they truly are the size we should all eat. If you are super hungry, order the double. Mixed emotions. I liked the tenders but the "homemade" fries were burnt and unsalted. I also watched a lady in the back handle the cooked burgers and other food with her bare hands then she wiped her greasy hands on a dirty looking towel. Burgers are delicious, 3 kinds of fries. The cheesesteaks are super tasty. Not fancy at all inside but dang it the food is soooooo very good. Outside seating area is great little spot to grab lunch or casual dinner. Local workers all end up there throughout the day that tells you something about the food and price. Perfect example of no need to over complicate a burger. The meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Homegrown tomatoes, you won't find any flavorless hard hot house tomatoes here. I ordered take out. Half the order was right part was missing and part was way wrong. Of course I was back at the motel before I knew this. 2 burgers 2 sides (1 missing) and 2 drinks was $23. It was good maybe a little dry but fresh if that makes sense. The place was packed, long and confusing line. Some ppl had ordered, some were trying to. 3.75 On a recent road trip we spotted signs touting "hand made patties" and decided to slip off the main highway to check these claims out. Overall a slightly mixed review ...but pretty much all good... especially the burger! It was definitely 5 stars: thick, juicy, beautifully cooked, and with just the right amount of pink. My mouth is watering as I write this, just thinking about how good it truly was. Hot dog was also fine but unfortunately the fried okra was just hammered (over fried). I probably should have ordered the fries. Would like to return and try a few more items on the menu. Staff was as good as it gets....very, very friendly, helpful, polite and efficient. If I could give 0 starts I would. Terribly unprofessional, and they berate those with differing political views. I wanted bacon but they said due to political reasons, they can't afford bacon anymore. I'm not sure how those 2 are related, seems like a "blame game" from a failing business to me. I also spoke to the staff and they are being paid poverty wages and they only hire part time employees to avoid paying benefits. Won't be returning. read more

We were heading for a different restaurant but a local festival blocked our route. We'd seen this place on our way into town and bypassed it because the neighborhood felt unwelcoming and the place was really tiny. But hunger won out. We ordered our burgers and fries. Luckily we'd gotten cash earlier because it's a cash only joint. The burgers were wonderful. Fresh meat, cooked to order, accompanied by lettuce, onions, and truly fresh tomato. As I sat eating I was observing the staff and customers interact and got the impression that this was a loved local haven. A gent came in and ordered a bunch of take out meals for his crew. While waiting he and the staff joshed happily. A young couple ordered and sat in a corner shoulder to shoulder, while other groups chatted across tables with each other. We went to Andrews, North Carolina for our first year wedding anniversary. It's a small town, we didn't get to eat out much there because we stayed at a cabin in the woods. We ran out of food the day before leaving so we went to the highest rated restaurant in Andrews, and this was it. My husband ordered the Big Bang Burger with fries and I ordered the fried catfish sandwich with fried green tomatoes. We both loved it!, it had so much flavor. The parking was not an issue, the service was good, and the food inexpensive. Hopefully we can go back one day. read more
