Terrible experience. Mariachi Quinto Sol showed up an hour late to our Wedding, were rude and disrespectful, and have refused to refund us for the lost time. For background, My wife and I chose them to play for the first 2 hrs of our wedding reception since we thought they had a unique sound. And they do, but that's the only positive. Even though our contract clearly stated a 5pm-7pm performance, they showed up an hour late and only played from 615pm until 7pm. Our reception would have been ruined but luckily our DJ had arrived early at 430 and was able to kick things off given the Mariachi no show. Since Mariachi Quinto Sol didn't honor the signed contract terms, we naturally asked for a refund of the 1 hr ($550). They've agreed a few times before disappearing. It's been 3 months and still no refund. These guys are expensive relative to similar mariachis, are rude/unprofessional, and simply not worth the risk for your important day. If you read the below 60 reviews, 20% of them are similar 1 star horror stories. I would stay away. read more

I tried hiring this mariachi group for an event. Everything seemed fine- they emailed me a contract to sign with a deposit request as well. (09/07/23) Before sending the deposit and before signing the contract, I emailed back inquiring about some songs. (09/07) I wanted to make sure they could play some of my parents favorite songs before confirming. I waited a few days and heard nothing back. I emailed them again and this time also texted them letting them know I had emailed and was waiting on a response. (09/10) Still never heard back. I was ghosted by this mariachi group. I would have appreciated an email or a text stating they were no longer available or interested in working with me- which is totally fine! As a business, they have the liberty to take on whatever job request they'd like as well as reject- it's not personal. This review was posted on Wednesday (09/13/23) one week after not hearing back. As soon as my review was posted, I suddenly received a text and comment below. (I did not reply to their text anymore- as I stated, I moved on and hired a different mariachi group. In the comment they left me below they stated a call would have helped- they could have also called me to communicate what was happening.) I heard a lot of their music and watched tons of YouTube videos and they are extremely talented- I just wish they were better at communicating with a potential client. I want to start by saying that I am a very understanding person, but for an event like my wedding where I spent so much time looking for the right musicians and PAID I am not as easy going. I hired this Mariachi for my wedding that was on Sept 23. I checked in the week of and night before and they said they would be there 15 minutes prior to the church ceremony start which was at 2:45 pm (they were aware of this since January) and they were not on time. We delayed the start of the ceremony 5-10 minutes and only one person showed up. It was the trumpet guy. We couldn't delay the ceremony any longer so I walked down the aisle with just the sound of a trumpet and it was honestly such a humiliating experience that took away from a moment that was supposed to feel so special and I'll never get back. At some point during the ceremony they arrived and don't get me wrong, they sound great but they ruined such a special moment for me. In addition, I paid them for another hour at the reception which they left 15 minutes earlier than what I paid for. I had agreed to let them leave 15 min earlier the night before but given that they were late it just felt so unprofessional and wrong to say the very least. They embarrassed me completely and not one person apologized to us. Feeling so horrible and saddened that I don't have a beautiful memory of this moment I messaged them the following Monday asking for a refund of 25% percent of what I paid. I truly hated doing that but their lack of organization and tardiness is not my issue, plus it increased the cost of my photographer and videographer because of the delay. As a vendor, time & location should be something they considered before agreeing to show up at my event. They agreed to send me the refund last Monday but they have yet to do so. I would not recommend this Mariachi to anyone, especially for events that are on a strict timeline. Also not one of the musicians looked familiar to the ones that are on their Instagram page so I'm also confused on that. read more

This business ruined my Dads surprise birthday party! We booked this unprofessional business a month in advance. The Contract stated that they were supposed to perform from 6:00pm-8:00pm. (We told them that it was a surprise birthday party and we wanted them to be there at-least 15 minutes prior so they had time to set up, so by the time it was 6:00pm they could start off with the mañanitas as my dad walked into his surprise birthday party.) It did not happened the way we planned for! My dad walked into his surprise birthday party with no Mariachi to greet him! We wanted our family and friends to enjoy music by the mariachi during dinner time. But that did not happen! Our Guests had to eat in the quiet for 1 whole hour! They got there 10 minutes before seven. Once there they started playing. They had no energy and you could barely hear them singing. After they were done playing one of the singers still had the audacity to ask for a shot from our bar. Zero shame after they ruined our surprise party. I am extremely unsatisfied with Mariachi Quinto Sol/ EVREN and their booking agent Roberto "Beto" Diaz. I contracted Mariachi Quinto Sol with a deposit and signed contract on June 24, 2018 for my wedding in December . Roberto decided to sub contract another Mariachi with out telling me and Instead they played another event. This was after confirming they would be at my event and had received a song list I provided. The sub contracted mariachi only had 4 members , not what my family and I were expecting. The mariachi that showed up had no idea about the song list I had prepared and was also clueless about being sub contracted and the final payment arrangement I had made with Beto. I had to stop enjoying my wedding to figure out what was going on. I was expecting 5-6 Mariachi as the fee I was charged and the contract I signed indicated the group would actually be them. I requested the fee the subcontracted mariachi charged because I believe it was less then Mariachi Quinto Sol's fee since there were less members . I went with this specific Mariachi because I have seen them perform and they were also recommended by several friends. If I knew they were dishonest and practiced such poor customer service I would have not have hired them and saved myself the time I was pulled away from enjoying my wedding and my guests. I was able to confirm they blew me off via social media. If you are Looking for a mariachi for your event , go with someone who honors their contracts , communicates properly and responds to you. I have messaged Roberto two days in a row and he responded that he would contact me to resolve this issue. Still waiting to hear from him. Update: I heard back from Roberto , he is not willing to reimburse the deposit I left that would secure Mariachi Quinto Sol ( not another random mariachi) because of my negative yelp review. He offered to provide compensation but could not compensate my deposit but did not offer any ideas. Again if he were an honest business man my review would not have been negative. At this point , my husband and I decided we would like nothing from him except our deposit. The deposit was to secure Mariachi Quinto Sol , they did not show up for our event, the fair and professional thing to do is to return the deposit. Again if he were an honest business man my review would not have been negative. I offered to update my review once the issue was resolved. Unfortunately nothing has been resolved. No where in the contract he provided did it state they would send another Mariachi for any reason. If that needed to be done , the paying customer should have been notified with ample time.
