There's almost zero damping and no acoustic management whatsoever. It has the appearance of an attractive venue without the functional reality. It was incredibly painful with the voices of all the talking along with the music ringing in our ears. The conversations of people were amplified by the design of the facility to the point where they were competing with the fully amplified '90s band that I heard called joose. In addition, they appear to have no comprehension about how to actually create an appropriate acoustic management system. There are no damping systems, no soft surfaces, it's like they didn't even ask anybody who knows anything about anything about how to do acoustic design. It's entirely appearance based. We will never return here again for anything other than a cocktail or maybe a karaoke event. It was a waste of $20. Per person. We effectively paid $40 for a couple to be acoustically tortured for 2 hours. We kept hoping it would get better but it didn't I thought maybe once more people came in they might help but it didn't help they just got louder. I can't believe that nobody else has complained about this before.

However, these performers just lip sang and walked around collecting tips. Hardly any interaction with the crowd. The '3 course meal' was awful. First course was a small cinnamon bun and mini chocolate crossiant, second course was a tiny portion of french toast casserole and egg frita, and then dessert. It was all sugar- no protein, or fruit. Definitely felt like a rip off.

When we first arrived, I joked to my friend while we were ordering, "First round is on you because of tickets, remember?" - no big deal. We ordered a few (honestly, pretty mediocre) drinks, sat down, and enjoyed a great cover band that played music I grew up with. The atmosphere was fun, people were dancing, and we met and chatted with a few friendly folks near the bar and nearby tables. Most people were definitely buzzed, some outright drunk. It's a 21+ event, after all. It was a fun time. The problem? I was ''cut off'' after only 2.5 drinks, as one had accidentally spilled. When I went to order another after dancing with a friend, I raised my hand in a silly, playful way and smiled while ordering. Apparently, that was enough for the bartender, an older white woman (Ellen, I believe her name was), to decide I'd had "too much." She seemed to think other people were buying me drinks, which wasn't true, only my husband and friend did. She could have easily confirmed that with me or with whoever she thought was buying the drinks, but instead, she relied solely on her own incorrect judgment. I was definitely not drunk or behaving inappropriately. Meanwhile, there were people around us who were visibly intoxicated; slurring, stumbling, and clearly having a good time. They kept getting served without issue. One particularly drunk man made one of my friends uncomfortable, yet nothing was said to him. The difference? He was an older white guy, while I am a person of color. What really got me was when a bouncer pulled me aside to check my ID AFTER I had already been at the event for hours. I had walked past him multiple times that night, as I had gone to the bathroom or just stepped outside with friends. I wasn't carded when I first entered, and clearly my age had not been an issue until that moment - because you know, It was a ticketed 21+ event. I had, as stated above, even ordered a drink when we first arrived. Being told I'd be kicked out if I was seen with another drink, despite being calm, respectful, and coherent, felt humiliating and unfair. No one else was pulled aside, yet anyone with eyes witnessed plenty of people who were clearly less than sober, if you know what I mean. I understand the importance of responsible alcohol service, but the inconsistency and bias in how it was enforced here was obvious. It is disappointing when a place that's supposed to be about fun and music lets staff's assumptions ruin someone's night. It felt less like "safety" and more like a snap judgment and doubling down on an assumption.

Also on the weekends they've been known to have sone nice music accompanying the pretty lounge. The cocktails are average price, and tasty and there is an upscale vibe. If they improve the food and the comfort of the high top seat backs which are very low, I'd give a couple more stars. There's a menu that looks interesting and affordable with an Asian flair... but that's where the disappointment starts for me. It's lopsided with deep-fried, more protein, vs veggies, & plenty starchy items! We tried the panko crusted sliders, which we should have known meant the beef paddies would be deep fried. It was actually filling, but tasteless. It needed some onion or garlic aioli, slices of juicy tomato or something! We also got the chicken wings; again deep fried and in a sticky sweet Asian sauce that was tasty but very sweet. I did not try mains as they were on pricy side. We sat at the bar where service is ok, and better the more you order type of vibe.

This review is specifically for the Charlie's Candy Shop escape room…read more We came a few months ago in a group of six. I think the Finding Bigfoot escape room wasn't even open yet. The Charlie's Candy Shop escape room was created with AI, and we genuinely felt that was a mistake. This wasn't our first escape room, but we were completely lost. So many of the instructions were confusing and didn't make any sense. All the clues were super vague. One of the instructions was incorrect ( that's why we couldn't complete the task ), and our room host told us about it after our time had ended. We also got the exact same hint twice, from the button and the paper. Overall, the room felt cheaply made, and some of the components were broken. The host also told us that the percentage of people/groups completing the room without hints from the host is zero, which, in our opinion, is odd. So I guess the room is too hard, but mostly because not much of it makes sense. We think, the clues should be more helpful and clearer than what we experienced in Charlie's Candy Shop escape room. We still have hopes for the Finding Bigfoot escape room ( assuming it wasn't created with AI ). P.S. Our host was nice and friendly. He even let us glance at the soon-to-be-open Finding Bigfoot escape room, which we really appreciated. +1 star for the host.

They have a good array of arcade games - we are partial to Jurassic Park though it always has a line, skee ball, basketball, the frogger clone game, the harpoon game - as well as things like trampolines (extra cost), the playground (a ball spill thingy, slides, 3 levels, a zip line, etc - also extra cost. We enjoy bowling during football games so we can watch and bowl and get boneless wings from victory house (and sometimes Bloody Marys). I've also come to watch friends play soccer at their different indoor courts. Only downside - it feels a bit like a germ fest. Lots of hand sanitizer and now I feel like I need to take some elderberry.

I made a reservation for 6pm on the deck as it had seatbacks and my husband has a bad back and can't sit on a picnic table. It's an elevated section above the beer garden, which that night had a singer with guitar. Service was pleasant though a little slow with drinks but they were pretty busy. We both had margaritas to start, which were $16 plus $3 for call brand so $19 each. Pretty good but not too strong. I then had the Hopmunk hefewisen beer which was only $8, much more reasonable. I had the Biergarten cheeseburger on a pretzel bun, cooked perfectly medium rare. Served with caramelized onions, bacon, smoked Gouda and a beer cheese, it was tasty but pretty messy! Cost was $23 plus I subbed a kale Caesar for $2 which was good but not worth the hype as a little dry. Husband had the grilled mole chicken with mole sauce and Spanish rice for $24. It was a large portion with two pieces of chicken and he enjoyed it. We then saw a show in the stone tavern next to the beer garden. It's an intimate venue with not a bad view in the house. We had seats because my husband is disabled so we're right in the front row. Otherwise it was standing only. Great acoustics and venue. I would go there often if I lived in Sebastopol, as it's right near the Barlow and downtown. Definitely recommend for food, entertainment and atmosphere.

The outdoor space is huge and definitely the highlight -- great place to hang out for a long lunch or drinks. Service was attentive and everything came out quickly. We ordered the burgers, wings, and pickle fries. The burgers were massive, though a little dry even with all the sauces loaded on. The wings, however, were excellent and easily the best thing we ordered. The pickle fries were the miss for me -- house made, which sounded promising, but there was barely any actual pickle inside. I'd skip those next time and just double down on the wings.
