Yeah, Mariachi's does well. They are Mexican fast food with no frills (like alcohol), but the food is pretty decent. I appreciated that they let me customize my Carne Asada with shrimp. I really liked the way the chef cooked it. There was lots of bell peppers and onions. The meat and shrimp were perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The tortilla was fresh and as large as my tray. My wife had rolled taco's with fresh guac. Everything was really fresh. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. Yeah, I'd eat at Mariachi's again. They seem mostly about convenience and not really a full-service restaurant. But that they do that well and a definite consideration if convenient. read more

The food is the bomb!!!! My favorite is the Menudo. It's truly cooked like back in the day. The street tacos are fire, Carne Asada burrito the beef is tender. Terrible service, the man named "Jacinto" when I asked (in the drive thru) to describe a couple of times what was inside a specific burrito he replied in Spanish "Sir it has been repeated several times", then when paying I told him to please use better service and kindness when dealing with clients that I was not happy with the way he treated me to which he replied: "this is a place to order not to play and next time we will deny you service". I mentioned I was not there to argue with him and he shut the window and ignored me. It is disgraceful because I go there at least twice a week. I went to go eat and the lobby was full which is fine, but the thing is there was a man taking up a whole table and he was not even eating, so i went the following day and GUESS WHAT, he was still there !!!! I have been to Mariachi's soooo many times since moving here and writing my first review. I'm still in utter shock at how truly consistent their food tastes every time we come. That is not easy to do and I don't think I've ever actually been anywhere before that has had such consistent food prep from different chefs. I always get the chicken taco dinner plate. Hubs always gets the supreme rolled taco's. I've only veered away once to order the chicken nachos, which were also very good. Its so good to me, that I could survive on those two dishes alone for the rest of my life. My check-ins should be at 20 not 1. I'll do better about checking in, I promise. read more

I've been eating here for about 2 and a half years. Their customer service has always been great. I believe they can have the best burritos in Az! I truly believed at one point they did but it feels like these past 6/9 months it's been real hit or miss. It seems you have to hope the cook is having a good day or else it comes out mediocre. I'll get disappointed but come back again in hopes it's made the same way it was before. The issue I run into is meat not being distributed evenly or not adding enough beans or rice in it. So one half is mostly carne and the other is mostly guacamole and pico de gallo. Today I was served a CARNE Asada burrito with almost no carne. It was respectfully one of the most disappointing burritos I've had. All I could taste were onions, guacamole, and beans. I ate more than half in hopes there would be a bit more meat. I stopped at the last quarter of the burrito when I finally accepted there was basically no carne. In conclusion, customer service is good, environment isn't extraordinary but isn't bad. Unfortunately it seems getting a good burrito from here is real 50/50. I've only had the Carne Asada burrito from here so i'm sure their other food is good but you can be the judge of that. read more

For today, I ordered the Thursday's Special, which is a Quesidea, with Rice & Beans, and a drink. The Quesidea is made fresh with 2 different cheeses (Jack, and either Colby, or Mild Cheddar), and is served piping hot. And, it remained hot to the last bite. It is quite big (think Grande size Tortillas), and though I was quite hungry (late lunch for me), I was unable to finish it. It was very good, especially having 2 different accompaniments to dip it in to. Though, it would be nice if the salsa bar was labeled as to which salsa is what. The rice and beans were pretty good. But, nothing to write home about. For the price, you get a startling amount of food with the main dish. I do want to try their other specials over the next few weeks. So, stay tuned for updates. When I walked in, the place really isn't very big (44 people limit). But, it is nice and clean. Also, there were only 4 others who arrived just before I did. Clean, quiet and friendly. Staff seemed to be COVID aware, but for those who demand a masked cashier/waitress, you'll be disappointed. We were alone this afternoon in the restaurant for our entire meal. Our meal, my Bean and Cheese burrito and my wife's super nachos arrived fairly quickly. The burrito very plain as expected, and the nachis looked really good. All in all this was a very average meal, nothing spectacular for either meal. I should note that my wife loved her nachos, but the ingredients seemed uber average and the sour cream seemed like it was watered-down to me. Nothing jumped out as fantastic. The food is good and tasty, I am a taco fan and their tacos served with chile toreado and onions are really good. I have been there more than once and will probably be back, the only thing that stops me from going over and over is that they won't allow you to mix your meats. The cooks are fast and pay attention to detail. The cashiers are friendly and efficient. All of this makes up a winning combination for a great place to eat! They have a lot of seating inside, and they have a drive thru. Every week day has a special and the portions are amazing! You totally get what you paid for! Nothing Fancy Just Good Food I was searching for a new Mexican Food restaurant when I came across Mariachi's. I have to admit, I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was great, and the food was good. On this visit I had a carne asada burrito, beef taco, and a side of beans. The refried beans, were some of the best refried beans I've eaten in a very long time, and the carne asada burrito was full of pico de gallo, meat, and beans. The salsa bar offers various salsas, green and red sauces, both equally good tasting. If you're looking for good tasting mexican food stop by, you won't be disappointed. This place is THE BEST. They have the best rice, ever. Please try it. Their jamaica is made so perfectly you can just tell the difference between mariachis and all the other chains they compete with. To be honest not good at all. I got cheese enchiladas, daughter got carne asada fries and wife got beef chimichanga. My enchiladas were eatable. My rice was salty and my beans tasted old. Carne asada from fries was ok but fries tasted odd. My daughter always likes carne asada fries from anywhere and she did not like these ones. The beef chimichanga had too much onions and bell peppers and they were almost raw. Food got 2 stars because my cheese enchiladas were eatable. I must add, the place was clean, spacious and didn't have the old oil smell most "Mexican" restaurants have. So for the place itself I will give them a four stars. Let me start off by saying WOW!! I ordered two mini adobada tacos, they were filled with lots of adobada meat, onion and cilantro on a single tortilla.. Flavor was good, I think they would've been better with guacamole but that's just me. I also ordered the California burrito, which I've got to say was one of the better ones I've ever had and the best I've eaten in Arizona. I grew up in San Diego/Tijuana which is where the original taco shops are from, so I know a thing or two about this type of food.. The carne asada, fries, pico and cheese were all combined to perfection, the ratio of each ingredient was perfect to compliment each other. Some sour cream in my burrito would have made it perfect, but that's just my personal taste. The burrito was pretty big and was folded properly, it held up good until I finished it. They gave me 2 different salsas with my order which had a good flavor and were spicy but not too overwhelming. I cannot comment on the interior of the restaurant because I ordered my food to go in the drive thru. Food was still very hot when I got home 10 minutes later. Cashier was nice, order was given to me faster than I expected. Some napkins would have been nice.. I will definitely be back! read more

Mariachi's is the best Mexican food I have had in the West Valley. We've been here so many times after being disappointed everywhere else we went. AZ Mexican Food just doesn't compare to the Cali Mexican food we are used to, but Mariachi's is on par, if not better. They use high quality meats and ingredients, even during the pandemic they kept the quality high. The portion sizes are huge and their customer service is excellent and friendly. I am finally leaving a review because this was my first time trying their chile relleno and it is the best I've ever had! Definitely give them a try!! You can't go wrong! read more
