Ordered breakfast burritos and Taco Tuesday tacos special... Burritos are good portions and those 2 tacos were a great value! if you go, make sure that you are hungry as it is a Better than your average Mexican fast food place! PS Staff was very helpful and the dining area super clean

New breakfast burrito with their green salsa and grilled jalapeño. (Bacon is a bit hard) but still good.

Better than filabertos, Roberto's, Humberto's, any Berto's in general. My go to breakfast burrito joint. The red salsa is my fave. Also the regular Taquitos are good!

I have been to Mariachi's soooo many times since moving here and writing my first review. I'm still in utter shock at how truly consistent their food tastes every time we come. That is not easy to do and I don't think I've ever actually been anywhere before that has had such consistent food prep from different chefs. I always get the chicken taco dinner plate. Hubs always gets the supreme rolled taco's. I've only veered away once to order the chicken nachos, which were also very good. Its so good to me, that I could survive on those two dishes alone for the rest of my life. My check-ins should be at 20 not 1. I'll do better about checking in, I promise.

Carne Asada Burrito with guacamole, pico de gallo, beans, rice, and cheese. Unfortunately the carne is missing

I've been eating here for about 2 and a half years. Their customer service has always been great. I believe they can have the best burritos in Az! I truly believed at one point they did but it feels like these past 6/9 months it's been real hit or miss. It seems you have to hope the cook is having a good day or else it comes out mediocre. I'll get disappointed but come back again in hopes it's made the same way it was before. The issue I run into is meat not being distributed evenly or not adding enough beans or rice in it. So one half is mostly carne and the other is mostly guacamole and pico de gallo. Today I was served a CARNE Asada burrito with almost no carne. It was respectfully one of the most disappointing burritos I've had. All I could taste were onions, guacamole, and beans. I ate more than half in hopes there would be a bit more meat. I stopped at the last quarter of the burrito when I finally accepted there was basically no carne. In conclusion, customer service is good, environment isn't extraordinary but isn't bad. Unfortunately it seems getting a good burrito from here is real 50/50. I've only had the Carne Asada burrito from here so i'm sure their other food is good but you can be the judge of that.

The Thursday's Quesadilla Special for $6.49
    Tony S.

For today, I ordered the Thursday's Special, which is a Quesidea, with Rice & Beans, and a drink. The Quesidea is made fresh with 2 different cheeses (Jack, and either Colby, or Mild Cheddar), and is served piping hot. And, it remained hot to the last bite. It is quite big (think Grande size Tortillas), and though I was quite hungry (late lunch for me), I was unable to finish it. It was very good, especially having 2 different accompaniments to dip it in to. Though, it would be nice if the salsa bar was labeled as to which salsa is what. The rice and beans were pretty good. But, nothing to write home about. For the price, you get a startling amount of food with the main dish. I do want to try their other specials over the next few weeks. So, stay tuned for updates. When I walked in, the place really isn't very big (44 people limit). But, it is nice and clean. Also, there were only 4 others who arrived just before I did. But, as time progressed, it got busy (14 inside + 2 take outs).

Clean, quiet and friendly. Staff seemed to be COVID aware, but for those who demand a masked cashier/waitress, you'll be disappointed. We were alone this afternoon in the restaurant for our entire meal. Our meal, my Bean and Cheese burrito and my wife's super nachos arrived fairly quickly. The burrito very plain as expected, and the nachis looked really good. All in all this was a very average meal, nothing spectacular for either meal. I should note that my wife loved her nachos, but the ingredients seemed uber average and the sour cream seemed like it was watered-down to me. Nothing jumped out as fantastic. It's like some flavor corners were cut and the result was average with a capital "A". Will we be back? Nah... probably not.

Wednesday Special: 1 beef taco, 1 cheese enchilada, rice, beans and a drink.

Ask the Community - Mariachi's Mexican Food

    Is there adequate seating?

    It seats about 15 people.

How are the prices and portion sizes? Also do they use good Mexican spices and flavors because since moving here we haven't found a good Mexican food restaurant

Authentic south of the border spices and large portions figure about 10,00 per person for price

    Are the prices reasonable?

Yes they're pretty standard. Prices are similar to other Mexican food locations such as Filibertos.

    Do they serve beer?

I have not seen any. all I have seen sodas, etc and horchata

I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

I would say inside is similar to a Filiberto's, but I don't really care as long as the food is good. I'm a big taco fan and the tacos here are just ok. If o had to compare, I would say taco boys, ta carbon and tacos calafia are well above this spot. Good visit though and really just stopped to try.

You order at the counter and the food comes out to the table. You can tell this place is family owned. The owners, whom I assumed were there tonight, were lovely people. While we waited, the woman who took our order brought out a basket of chips with refried beans and fresco queso on top with a side of salsa. Woah! What? Epic. But wait! A few minutes later, a precious girl with the most warm inviting, and beautiful smile came out with 2 warm, homemade corn tortillas, with salsa and cheese for us. These were just complimentary extras we didn't expect at all. Soo good. The restaurant is a humble place. Cute, clean, inviting and roomy. There is an inside seating area and an outdoor section. Someone was grilling meat out front. I think, the owner. I ordered a chili relleno combo. It comes with rice, beans, tortillas, and a drink. Hubs ordered two carne asada tacos, and a carne asada sope. I didn't try anything my husband ordered. ( I was laser focused on my meal lol) But it looked really good. He said, you can tell, they make their food with love. Yes, yes, yes, you can. My dish, was the best chili relleno I have had the entire 5 yrs I have been living in AZ. And the beans were phenomenal. Honestly, I prefer eating at places like this. We came for an impromptu date night. I can say it was one of the best meals and date nights I've had in a while. Thank you. Nobody, at least nobody alive, was on the premises, from my vantage point. Two buildings lay before me, both of which looked dark. Dusty railway cars on the track across the street. Is that where they would find my body, inside one of those, with the others? But, as I walked closer the scent of taco meat simmering, grilling and sizzling overtook my stupid fear. Tacos have never steered me wrong. Taco makers have always been some of my favorite people. Once that scent made me realize that I wasn't about to walk up on a crime scene and be the next victim, I happily opened the door. No customers but a young alive girl was behind the counter. Happy colors, neon, seriously the best salsa bar I have ever come across - they even had homemade, warm salsa macha on the side and everything else was cold and fresh because the condiments are covered in a literal steel trap to keep everything clean and sanitary. I had ordered my meal to go, and people started rolling up as I was leaving so I guess the party was about to start without me. Then I got my tacos home!! Exclamation point because they deserve it. I ordered two queso tacos that, of course, came with consumme. My eyes rolled back in my head when I took the first bite. The beef was juicy, flavorful, tender and the consumme complimented it beautifully. And when have ever been treated to so much cheese in a queso taco? Never. And the good, thick Mexican cheese, melted and abundant. Not some tasteless, cheap, inconsequential slop. My only regret? I live 10 miles away up a mountain and I couldn't run right back and order one more queso taco! I was literally starving for one more. So, I made some poverty nachos - cheap tortilla chips with cheddar melted on top in a microwave - and dipped them in the consumme. Well, actually I had another regret: I wasn't able to wash it all down with a Jamaica because they either ran out or didn't make it that today. I just know it would have been homemade and good.
