    A vast array of food

From the service to the food to the atmosphere it was all great I would definitely return. This is a family owned business and the food style really is authentic to carnitas from Michoacán. The carnitas and cueritos are a must there but really anything there is delicious

Torta de carnita and 3 barbacoa tacos

The best carnitas in town! The meat was so tender and juicy, the salsas were so delicious as well! I had orders tacos de barbacoa and my fiancé had a torta of carnitas. they were very generous with the amount of the meat.. The service was also amazing, we were greeted right away by the lovely workers. They were so welcoming and friendly, we can't wait to come back! 10/10

    3 Carnitas Tacos

My Husband and I went for lunch. He ordered 3 Carnitas Tacos ($10.50) and I ordered the Carnitas Torta ($9.99))Both were delicious! The torta had avocado and the meat was perfectly seasoned. The torta bun was very soft. It was really good. The restaurant is very generous with the portions. I didn't think 3 tacos was going to be enough for my husband but he was full. Again, the meat portion was very generous. We both ordered bottled orange fanta. I later saw a customer order a horchata. I wasn't aware that was available. I would highly recommend this place. It is extremely clean. They also sell their meat by the pound and 1/2 pound. I'm a DoorDasher so I get to see all kinds of great restaurants that I've never even thought of trying before. The restaurant is a little hidden. It's in a strip mall and door faces north and you will see the store sign. Try it! You won't be disappointed. You can also follow them on Instagram. Their handle is carnitasmichoacanas2024

One taco de cabeza and two mixed (carnitas & cueretos)

Food was good, took me back to my roots in Mexico. Service is good. The wait was minimal and the ambiance is good.

Great food! I tried the tacos and the meat was delicious and the tortillas were very tasty. The owner was super personable and served a tray with fresh topping options. Very nice addition to old town Avondale! Clean cafe and open seating. Additional parking is in the back.

I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

I would say inside is similar to a Filiberto's, but I don't really care as long as the food is good. I'm a big taco fan and the tacos here are just ok. (Pastor way too salty, asada seemed blah, but suadero was good) I did make a lil drive to come out here but probably wouldn't do it again unless I'm just in the area. If o had to compare, I would say taco boys, ta carbon and tacos calafia are well above this spot. Good visit though and really just stopped to try.

Yes, Yes, Yes! Today, my husband said let's try this place…read more I said ok! As we got closer, I realized I've been in the area several times. I have never ate at any of rhe places though. You order at the counter and the food comes out to the table. You can tell this place is family owned. The owners, whom I assumed were there tonight, were lovely people. While we waited, the woman who took our order brought out a basket of chips with refried beans and fresco queso on top with a side of salsa. Woah! What? Epic. But wait! A few minutes later, a precious girl with the most warm inviting, and beautiful smile came out with 2 warm, homemade corn tortillas, with salsa and cheese for us. These were just complimentary extras we didn't expect at all. Soo good. The restaurant is a humble place. Cute, clean, inviting and roomy. There is an inside seating area and an outdoor section. Someone was grilling meat out front. I think, the owner. I ordered a chili relleno combo. It comes with rice, beans, tortillas, and a drink. Hubs ordered two carne asada tacos, and a carne asada sope. I didn't try anything my husband ordered. ( I was laser focused on my meal lol) But it looked really good. He said, you can tell, they make their food with love. Yes, yes, yes, you can. My dish, was the best chili relleno I have had the entire 5 yrs I have been living in AZ. And the beans were phenomenal. Honestly, I prefer eating at places like this. We came for an impromptu date night. I can say it was one of the best meals and date nights I've had in a while. Thank you. Y'all are gonna see me alot. :)

No matter how busy, the wait is never long but your food is made to order. They have an abundant salsa bar and, if you sit outside, an employee is cooking up something on a plancha. We don't know what. We have only ever sat inside or carried our tacos home. Next door there's a modern bakery next door with cakes, bars, cookies and traditional Hispanic treats. We're looking forward to checking it out at some point. Stay tuned!

For those complaining about the price, what do you expect?!?! Go to Filiberto's and be a negative Nancy if you want "cheap" food with no love, no intention, and no happiness. The fish tacos are TRUE CALI fish tacos. Fresh fish, FRIED PERFECTLY. The sneaky menu item is the wings. Fried perfectly and huge. Perfect for football season. Do not doubt this place, do not question whether or not you should come here. Quite literally everything is good, and the menu has such a variety that you'll find something that works for you, and yes it will be good. And I'm completely serious when I say this - if someone complains about the food they're wack.

Nobody, at least nobody alive, was on the premises, from my vantage point. Two buildings lay before me, both of which looked dark. Dusty railway cars on the track across the street. Is that where they would find my body, inside one of those, with the others? But, as I walked closer the scent of taco meat simmering, grilling and sizzling overtook my stupid fear. Tacos have never steered me wrong. Taco makers have always been some of my favorite people. Once that scent made me realize that I wasn't about to walk up on a crime scene and be the next victim, I happily opened the door. No customers but a young alive girl was behind the counter. Happy colors, neon, seriously the best salsa bar I have ever come across - they even had homemade, warm salsa macha on the side and everything else was cold and fresh because the condiments are covered in a literal steel trap to keep everything clean and sanitary. I had ordered my meal to go, and people started rolling up as I was leaving so I guess the party was about to start without me. Then I got my tacos home!! Exclamation point because they deserve it. I ordered two queso tacos that, of course, came with consumme. My eyes rolled back in my head when I took the first bite. The beef was juicy, flavorful, tender and the consumme complimented it beautifully. And when have ever been treated to so much cheese in a queso taco? Never. And the good, thick Mexican cheese, melted and abundant. Not some tasteless, cheap, inconsequential slop. My only regret? I live 10 miles away up a mountain and I couldn't run right back and order one more queso taco! I was literally starving for one more. So, I made some poverty nachos - cheap tortilla chips with cheddar melted on top in a microwave - and dipped them in the consumme. Well, actually I had another regret: I wasn't able to wash it all down with a Jamaica because they either ran out or didn't make it that today. I just know it would have been homemade and good.
