Visited here for friends gathering. Food was delicious (everyone in our table agreed!) We ordered Margarita pitcher that gave us almost six glasses. If you're considering more than 4 glasses, that was a good deal. They have very Mexican vibe and nice back patio too! Willing to revisit again :)

I wish I knew about this place earlier! What a fun spot to go with friends. Great service, great food, great overall vibes. Shrimp tacos: 9.5/10 Delicious and the shrimps were large. Only thing was that it was hard to get in my mouth because there was so much tasty filling - Would not recommend to order on a first date Lime margarita: 10/10 Didn't even know I liked margaritas until now Tres Leches cake: 7.5/10 Was so full from all the other food (not pictured are the veggie nachos and guacamole starter), this cake was on the sweeter side and could only eat one bite. Great for those with a sweet tooth Churros and coconut ice cream: 10/10 Ice cream was covered in toasted coconut flakes. The cold against the freshly made churros was heaven Highly recommend!

This is a perfect place for authentic Mexican food and of course Margaritas! They have a patio alongside Yonge Street, a patio at the back and you also can dine in. The décor is dark and colorful and with the use of electric candles on the tables. The ambient is very cozy and the staff (who seem to be Mexican, too) are very friendly. We ordered "Traditional Margarita", "Tamarindo Margarita", "Mojito Margarita" and Sangria for drinks. We also ordered Guacamole and Nachos to share Enchiladas for entrée. Drinks were amazing and the food was delicious.

You know the general rule for dining out? If the restaurant is full, it's probably pretty good. Today I was proven wrong. A friend and I were looking for a place for dinner and decided to check out Mariachi's since it had a full patio, and the margaritas looked great! Well... We were seated promptly and handed a couple of sticky menus that was different from other Mexican spot I've been to. The drinks were priced reasonably, but the food menu was odd. It had some reasonably priced apps, and everything else was ~20. I can understand prices have gone up across the city, but 3 tacos (no sides) for $20 is a bit much in my opinion...oh and no mixing. The most frustrating part was the service. After 10 mins of sitting a server took our drink order and said they'd come back for our food order - but I interrupted and asked for guacamole anyway. 10 mins later, the guacamole came out, but no drinks. About 1/2 cup of guac + semi-stale chips for $14?! That's not even a whole avocado. 5 mins later my friend's drink came and I sat there nibbling on chips. 20 mins later I got my drink - a jalapeno margarita. And it was fantastic! 50 mins after seating, no one had come to take our meal order. I asked one staff, and she said someone will come shortly. Finally, about 1 hour after sitting down, someone took our order. I don't know if they have new staff in training, but they need some organization. The food... I don't know... I feel like I've had much better Mexican food in Toronto for significantly less. I ordered the Morelia, which was chicken enchilada with poblano sauce, and beef burrito covered in some tomato sauce and cheese. The sauces tasted like they were from a can... lacking flavour. However, their home made habanero hot sauce was very good. For $55 per person, this felt very disappointing. I'll definitely go back for the margaritas, but can't say I was impressed by anything else.

I came here with my brother and his family. At first they seated us outside but it was too hot and so they gladly found us a table for five people inside. I had steak fajitas. Although a little fatty, the steak was the best I have ever had with fajitas. And honestly, this was the first I was asked how I wanted the steak for my fajitas cooked. Usually it comes out well done.

It was a nice ambiance inside, the music is not too loud and they have a nice patio at the back of the restaurant. Service is okay. The food's flavour is good but on the pricier side since it's not a big serving. It also took a while for the tacos to come. Good thing we ordered soup as appetizer, it was a great soup (probably best I had in years)! The only downside is that it's $5 for a small bowl. Overall experience it's around 6/10.

Amazing and friendly service! The food is good value and very filling. I ordered the veggie fajitas. Definitely add the habanero sauce to give it more spice. The guacamole and tortilla chips are made fresh. My friend really enjoyed his East LA dish and my partner loved the Morelia dish.i also had the sangria which barely tastes like alcohol, but hit me after half the drink. I also bought the habanero sauce to take home.

    Mojito margarita

Delicious food, we tried fajita, nachos, and mojito margarita.we were there last night everything was perfect will go there again. The only concern there was the staff they are friendly but we wait a long time for orders.

So this is my first trip to Canada and I decided to try this place because of a picture I saw of a margarita. So of course, I did go and order that drink. I asked for a frozen margarita but it was far from frozen. It looked like the machine had melted. They made me another and it looked great but it wasn't sweet. I did order the quesadilla with chorizo. It was delicious. They served it Spanish rice and a side salad. First time I've been to a Mexican restaurant and I didn't get black beans. I had the habanero sauce with it and it was super spicy but I live for spicy food!

I love how cute and cultured this restaurant is, the service was amazing and the food is to die for! The best nachos I've ever had in Canada, every chip got eaten. No chip was left behind. The tacos were absolutely delicious, I am 1000% coming back for more of this place! Even the drinks were perfect we lovedd the selection of mojito's!

First things first: Great service! They were so polite, friendly and for the most part fast The margaritas were fantastic! I will definitely be back for those! However, the food left my taste buds in complete disappointment!! The appetizer was alright- everything was bland for myself and my boyfriend. Entrees: my boyfriend ordered the beef enchiladas. They looked fantastic and I would know, I was looking at his meal for awhile.. I was kept waiting for my chicken enchiladas for about an additional 5-10 minutes after he got his. When it finally came, my rice was cold! Not to mention? I found a hair in it. I pretty much lost my appetite right there. But I was just too hungry in the end- so I ate around my nasty rice. Again, food was bland! For Mexican food, I expect bold flavours and spices... I got none of this. Not to mention, the "spicy" sauce was not even a hint of spice in there. I gave them three stars because they were über nice and the service was good. However, this is a Mexican place I won't be visiting again for the food.

10/10 would recommend checking this spot out! Such amazing food and a very wonderful experience, almost like your are eating a home cooked meal! New favourite restaurant in Toronto!

When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him honestly that it was terrible. I had only taken two bites, and there was really no response. I wouldn't have wanted a replacement anyway after that experience. I also had some fruit bites, and about 10 minutes later my stomach started gurgling. By the time I got home, I felt awful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Cost to worth it rating: 4 ($US 150 for a good amount of food and drinks at this caliber is a steal) Opentableable: yes but not later Return worthiness: yes Eve award: best fine dining Mexican pizza, best service I've had ever, best trio of meats I've had Highlights: - Mexican pizza (aka tlayuda toloqueña): phenomenal invention and best thing I ate the whole trip. Fresh crispy tortillas combination of so many ingredients and melded well together from green chorizo to dollops of white bean to slices of carrot. 5 stars - Pork (pork secreto al pastor): most tender pork ever! Brined then sous vide and finished grilled. Surprise onion compote was wonderful plus slices of grilled pineapple. 5 stars - Duck (dry aged Hudson Valley duck breast) : I've had HV duck many times before but this is one of the most standout duck breast I have had. Tender not gamey at all and in a lovely sauce. I love duck and cannot comprehend why this blew y mind, but I'm happy it did. 5 stars - Hanger steak (prime hanger): cooked perfectly medium rare with a creamy au poivre like sauce on top. My friend would have preferred to be asked how it was cooked and she had to stick to the end pieces to be less pink--but I loved it the way it was. 4.75 stars (wonderful but I had to separate it from the others) - Chocolate mousse (spiced Mexican Hot Chocolate): light and airy but deep in chocolate flavor with a sponge cake made with honey that mimicked honeycombs. Another surprise hit. 5 stars - Scallop ceviche (Hokkaido scallop ceviche in a leche negra sauce): tender bits of scallops with avocado in what I equate to a black taco seasoned sauce made with ground up ingredients. 4.25 stars - Sweet potato (coal roasted sweet potato): large tender pieces with char and greens around. 3.5 stars - Atmosphere: open fire everywhere with the kitchen right out there, high energy in the low almost cave - like white stone dining room which was very unique - Wine: great - Abraham: delightful, fun, and well educated waiter who answered my dorky questions about the food - Utensils for each course: loved it so there was no mystery of what you were supposed to use to keep you out of any Pretty Woman situation - Service overall: outside of the waiter, every single person was amazing. From the people presenting our dishes, to the ones constantly wiping our tables, to the individual who chatted with us as we were waiting for our friends before we left. I dine out a lot and this was top notch impeccable some of the best service I have ever had at any restaurant anywhere. I can only think of Alinea that could top it. Midlights: - Cocktails: majority are mezcal which is understandable with the cuisine and smokey theme, but I'm not a mezcal person so options were minimal Lowlights: - Creepy dark basement bathroom

We weren't able to get reservations online but read on their website that they had daily walk-ins…read moreso we lined up early before they opened. It seems their walk-in availability is limited to one table. We gave them our number and went to get a drink somewhere else. I got the call that a party of three had canceled so we hurried back from a bar around the corner. They stuck the four of us in the far back corner at a table meant for three very close to the very hot oven. We did not realize and it was not made clear to use that everything on the menu was meant to be family styled. We ordered drinks and they took a really long time so they gave us each a glass of complimentary champagne which was nice. The food itself was delicious and we enjoyed everything. I would just note that this is a place meant to be family styled and make reservations beforehand or show up an hour early if you want a guaranteed walk in spot.
