Turns out there was a pipe burst and they had to vacate the location, hoping to get back into it. Nonetheless, they took care of their patrons. Food was fresh and crispy! Didn't exexpect that since it was so quick! And it wasn't drenched in oil, like some places. Very pleased! Went with the Shrimp and fried okra combo. Sooooooo good! They didn't have any specialty sauces available, but they did have hot sauce. Lucky for me, I like hot sauce. And the small hawaiian roll to accompany it, perfect sweet treat to tie it all together. ordered the red snapper, shrimp, and fries with their signature juice. I gave a 20% tip and appreciated that the food was freshly cooked. Unfortunately, the food was very salty, and some of the shrimp still had the dark intestinal tract ("black line") attached. I only ate a few bites before having to return to work. About 30 minutes later, I developed diarrhea and had to spend about 20 minutes in the bathroom. I called the restaurant to request a refund because I barely ate any of the food, but I was told they were not at fault because they had been in business for 14 years. I understand that it can be difficult to determine what caused a stomach issue, but I was disappointed with how my concern was handled. I'm now throwing away most of the meal, losing the money I spent, and leaving unsatisfied with both the food and customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this experience. read more

Found out about this place via a Facebook group and was nearby to try it for lunch. We went around 11 and it wasn't busy. We ordered quickly and received our food fairly quickly too. I ordered the 5 wings 6 shrimp combo with onion rings and my wings tossed in hot honey. The shrimp were a nice size and fried perfectly. The wings were very flavorful and crispy. I think these photos are from the first visit, not the last. I've gotten breakfast from this place and it was okay. I opted for the fish and it had bones. Still tasty, but I would've gotten the salmon crochet instead. Aug 2024 I ordered the egg,grits, and shrimp with a side pancake. They left the pancake out the bag, even though they put syrup in the bag. I called and they said they'd have it ready. Had to walk back, then back to work. Small but not super crowded, about five tables and several seats at the bar available for dine-in. The staff were super welcoming and hospitable! The music sets the mood with some nice old school R&B and Soul. It felt like my cousins told me they were cooking and told me to stop by lol. I chose to sit at the bar and ordered the wings and shrimp basket. I love that everything is made fresh to order! The shrimp were so fresh they tasted like they swam out of the ocean and jumped into the fryer. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, had the perfect level of crisp without being burnt. I also love the hot sauce selection. Everything was so fresh I wanted to finish my food on the spot, but ended up having to take some to-go because I was stuffed. I have visited a few times to support this business, but unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience today. I have been hearing about this place for some time. Today I visited with co-workers and let's just say it did not disappoint. First the customer service was superb. Secondly the food came pretty quick and it was piping hot. Lastly the food was great. My shrimp were cooked to perfection. The whiting was well seasoned and piping hot. I Walked right up to the counter - ordered, paid and found a table with equal amounts of sunshine & shade. Normally I love hot sauce with my fried fish, but I promise you don't even need it! It's that good and seasoned. It also comes with white bread and it's lightly toasted which is another plus! The staff is always very nice and helpful! I've also tried the fried lobster tail which is AMAZING! And the wings are really good too!
