    The extremely small corn tortillas.

As a Mexican who loves to cook Mexican food.... This place was complete garbage. We ordered two fajita plates and paid an extra $5 for extra meat. I can assure you there was no extra meat, and if there was... I'd hate to see how much meat the plates would've had without the extra $5. My son loves chicken mole and always orders it... he said this was the worst mole he's ever had. We ordered the $12 guac appetizer. For $12... you'd think you'd be getting from fresh guac in a bowl.... But instead you get the guac that's been sitting in their fridge in a small cup. Don't order the corn tortillas with your dishes.... Although they claim the tortillas are homemade... they are extremely small and you only get three. Their beans and rice had horrible texture and did not have any of the Mexican spice favoring they should always have. On top of all of that, the waitress came and asked me if she can get our plates out of the way when we clearly were still eating. It seemed as though she was rushing us to get out even though it wasn't near closing time and it wasn't busy at all. She never offered to refill our beverages either.... Yet she was more than happy to charge us a 25% gratuity because we were a party of 6.

Great Little Mexican place service was good. Food was good. We had fajitas and tacos so nothing too special but the food was really tasty and well done. I'd recommend this place. We only ate here once we tried two other restaurants in town if we were here longer we probably would've ate here again.

Pretty good, straightforward and good prices Loved the spicy green sauce but the tamale didnt taste authentic- everything was good though Service was great too!

Was two fish and one shrimp taco- my apologies- I was hungry...

Great fish and 1 shrimp taco in the corn tortillas. Rice & beans perfect. Free chips and great made in house salsa. Good straight forward family style Mexican restaurant, clean, and with solid service. I've had similar up and down Baja, mainland Mexico, and southern California, so not sure when someone says it's not authentic? Two other tables commented on tastiness. Be advised- no alcohol served.

We went with the "Mexican Breakfast" and it did not disappoint with the Huevos Rancheros and the Sausage Burrito.

An awesome authentic Mexican restaurant in the area! Everything we ordered was amazing, and we were scraping the plates to get the last bites! You can tell that this is a family owned business, which my girlfriend and I love because it gives an amazing feeling!

Really great food, good service even with it being off season in a tourist town. Really good Mexican food! Tamales and tortillas were homemade to order.

Really good find! Friendly quick service. Veggie fajitas and veggie burrito were excellent and fresh. Best churros I've ever had!

Popular place with a wide variety of choices for dinner--friendly and attentive service (if you…read moredon't see your server, ask another--they clearly work well as a team) and interesting decor. Starter and food, drinks, etc., are brought promptly to the table. This is exceptional in a highly popular tourist area. The food is good but could use a little improvement--the grilled mahi-mahi was good, but a little on the dry sauce and definitely needed a sauce. A couple of the dishes did have sauces, but fish is why most Creole restaurants like Brennan's will serve a sauce on the side, or a topping with butter such as Trout Almandine. It doesn't have to be a fancy sauce--the option of good ol' tartar sauce works. The grilled vegetables also needed a little more butter and seasoning. Carrots are good on their own; broccoli and cauliflower need a little cheese or butter and some seasoning to be loved. The IPA (Long John) was excellent. The beer cheese dip and soft pretzels were to die for; the chardonnay was passable. A great choice for dining in a VERY heavily traveled tourist destination. Get there early--it starts filling up fast and all the restaurants around Mount Rushmore close at 9.
