Here to rave about the salad! I got a Greek salad and it was amazing. Exactly what I wanted. Everything in it was so incredibly fresh. The dressing was amazing and the price, $14 was fair given that the salad was massive and packed in the box. I tried to dump it into a salad bowl when I got home to mix it up and it overflowed from my large bowl. It's hard to find fresh food nowadays but I'm so happy to know I have this option in town now. This is a hidden gem! I was blown away by the high quality of the food. I shared in 3 dishes: a mediterranean salad with chicken, a turkey panini, and a mushroom pizza. All were 5 out of 5! The salad had high quality greens and veggies, roasted chicken, and a from scratch dressing that I could've drank it was so good. The panini bread was fluffy and light. It turns out it is house made bread! And the pizza was delicious. We added marinated mushrooms to the mushroom pizza which was extra yummy. After eating I was chatting with the owner and it turns out that they take great care to use the best ingredients. They use unbromated flour, highly filtered water, olive oil & honey, scratch made dressings, local greens, etc. What a pleasant surprise from a little pizza joint!! Can I give 6 or 7 stars? Was filling time and our tummies between a wedding and the reception and decided to stop and get something lite. We got the cheesy breadsticks to share and wow! What a treat! The breadsticks were loaded with cheese and had a buttery finish. They were delicious and we ate every bite. I can only imagine what the pizzas taste like. One day I will be back to get pizza but I do not live in state, let alone nearby. The staff was kind and accommodating... we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Usually when we visit friends in Sparta we end up getting takeout, which is fun since normally I wouldn't make the drive up just to try food in the area. We ordered from Maria's recently and it was so good! We got an 18" spicy supreme pizza - it has pepperoni, bacon, sausage, onion, green olives, banana peppers, jalapeno, and mozzarella. The pizza was ready for pickup within 30 minutes on a Friday evening, which was great. The toppings were super generous and the crust wasn't soggy. I liked the savory sauce and the jalapenos were spicy! The combination of toppings was too good. The menu also includes Chicago style pizza, appetizers, strombolis, salads, sandwiches, pasta dinners, and Mexican options. I'm looking forward to the next time we're in Sparta to get more pizza from Maria's. read more

Wow. Got takeout from Maria's based on Yelp reviews although I was a little hesitant with only 22 reviews. Everyone in our party thought the pizza was fantastic! Check out the pizza crust ingredients: Unbromated unbleached flour, raw organic honey, certified extra virgin olive oil, filtered water, yeast, kosher salt, and cold fermented. The toppings were fresh right down to the olives which were so flavorful. The restaurant was quite small and I don't remember much seating although I may have overlooked it. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Pizza was ready right on time. My new favorite pizza place. Definitely will be going back and try out other menu items. read more

I recently moved back in to the area and took some time to try anything local. Now I am kicking myself. This was so good. Cheese breadsticks with great crispy edges are so good I could of made this a meal on its own. The pizza is a 9 out of 10. This will become my local pizza place from here on out. Ordered an 18" three meat pizza...$30/ had a hard tim e feeding three people...one was a child...have ordered many from here, they've gotten skimpier and not worth the money...good flavor, an I don't mind paying good money for a good pizza, but and 18 ", three meat should easily feed 4 adults. Love their pizza! Not a fan of being Curbside only and forced to tip when using a credit card. The machine chooses pre-selected tip options and no option for no tip. I would be fine with walking in to get my pizza,but it's not permitted and I am forced to tip on top of it. Not ok with that. read more

Just a small place that is pretty much takeout, although there are some tables. Solid pizza. The 10-inch, two-topping pizza out the door for $5 is definitely a good deal. I haven't had anything but pizza, but they also offer subs and some Mexican selections. read more
