This was supposed to be a crush

Yall this place has been like an urban legend to me for the longest time. People would say they have been and I should go and I have never even seen it. The reason being becuse while ppl say Maria's is in Owings Mills and its not, its 10 minutes away from actual Owings mills. So this place is very disjointed and large. When I walked in it was like a regular sit down restaraunt, a group of people were playing mahjong as well so thats cool. I headed back to the bar where it got infinitely more noisey and chaotic. Apparently this place has happy hour starting at 11am!?! Isnt that when you open? Im not looking a gift horse in the mouth but this cant be sustainable especially when you only have one bartender. THe day we were there the AC wasnt working so Im hot already and the one bartender was so nice but told us asap she was the only person working (remember this) So we order a couple bites and some drinks. My home girl orders a blueberry lemondade martini because sure that sounds good to her lol but when she gets her drink its just a lemon drop. We ask the waitress wht the drink was and she says I dont know I just dropped it at the table I didnt make it. Ok sure but you saw no blueberry in anything so maybe ask a question? The listed cocktails were bad, real bad, micheal jackson bad. I would just get call drinks because the horror of ordering a crush to get a cup full of regular ice and some syrupy mess almost made me cuss out loud. the food was basic bar food nothing blew us away and I wouldnt order anything again. Everyone else seemed to be having a good time (I guess when happy hour is pretty much all day you cant help but be happy?) Well I could help it, I wasnt happy and probably wont go again till someone else suggests it (and I will have some other suggestions) I will forever hold the Crush debacle against Marias

What a community gem! I have been here several times and it's always lively and fast service. My favs include the lamb, olive medley, crab dip and boom boom shrimp. The happy hour menu is extensive as well with wide ranging hours. The dining area has a few tables that can accommodate groups and the bar has limited seating coupled with high top tables. There are plenty of TVs to catch the game. Note there is another entrance in the front that has a totally different vibe. It's a more traditional dining space whereas the back entrance caters to a more casual, bar crowd. Prices are competitive. This place is perfect to kick back and vibe. The $5 lemon drop isnt too bad either. Add them to your list.

I love the food at Maria's. They have a restaurant area and a bar, and I typically sit at the bar side. They have a daily happy hour which has a great selection of food and drinks. Brunch is on the weekends until three. The service is amazing, especially from Ben! My favorite things to get are the wings, the blackened shrimp, quesadilla, and the Maryland style pasta. I also like to go on Mondays for crabcake night.

Love this place! Understated but a local gem. Sit by the bar area for a more laid back experience. Menu is vast! Happy hour starts at 11am everyday! Service is good but keep in mind the bartender is also the server.

Still really good food! Service can be a bit slow in the bar area, in the back of the restaurant especially on busier days like when there's football.

So a homeboy of mines had hit me & told me to pull up to one of his favorite spots for Happy Hour. I did & to my surprise it wasn't very crowded with a lot of parking available outside of the place. So i went in & found my buddy at the bar. At which time he introduced me to his bartender Ben. Ben was nice, polite, & very drink with the drinks. I tested him out with a green tea shot. Ben made it to perfection & he was very informative with the menu & happy hour specials. I decided to take it light & get the Maria's cheese pizza. Whole time I'm not knowing it was a huge entire pizza. I was expecting slices & some fries. No it was a whole large pizza. But it was delicious so I won't complain, just means leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The bar setup was nice & spacious with a bunch of tvs so if it's any game on you should be straight. After a couple more shots of Jameson I hit my limit. I greatly enjoyed my entire Maria's experience definitely plan on coming back

Came here for a Father's Day Brunch for my Father-n-Law with Family members. This is my second time visiting Maria's and the Food is always good and service exceptional. The Servers are nice, professional and efficient. They accommodated us with a cozy private dining room. I can't wait to return soon.

The fiesta turkey chili was delicious. Definitely get this if it's on the menu, you won't be disappointed. It is seasoned very well. Definitely good on a cold night like tonight.

Pulled up for their Saturday happy hour and I'm thankful. Great food, bartenders and atmosphere. Ordered the following: Green tea shots: Strong, good $5 Lamb chops: well seasoned and juicy Wings(Thai chili sesame): $10 for 8. Sauce was good Boom boom shrimp: I wish it had more sauce, still good Steamed shrimp: Amazing. You have to peel yourself Mushroom caps: super good. Crab cakes on top of mushrooms

This was the rest of my crab cake, probably about half of it and the lamb chop bones!

Finally got to Maria's and it was everything I expected and more. Our server was fantastic and took care of all of our needs for food, beverages, and was outstanding with anything we needed. We had a gluten-free member of our party and everything that she needed was taken care of so that she received what she could eat. I had the half and half crab soup half cream of crab half Maryland crab and it was absolutely delicious with lots of jumbo lump crab meat and tons of vegetables. I had the surf and turf which was a petite crab cake paired with three lamb chops and opted for the roasted potatoes and the stewed lima beans. The crab cake was all jumbo lump there was no filler whatsoever and the petite crab cake was actually quite large. I can't imagine what one or two crab cakes would look like as they must be massive and delicious. The crab cake was absolutely delicious and broiled just right. My three lamb chops were meaty and delicious and perfect at a medium temperature. The potatoes were filling and were delicious and the stewed lima beans were excellent in the tomato sauce that they were in. The other two members of my party had a full rack of lamb and the grilled shrimp. Both looked excellent and came out just right. Our food was spaced out well between the appetizers and my soup and the meal coming. For dessert we shared a rice pudding which also was fantastic. I am thrilled with the meal that we had. The ambiance was very nice, we were there earlier and it wasn't very crowded but I can imagine how noisy it could be in this small space if the restaurant had been full. I highly recommend a visit to Maria's and I will be back for lobster night and also to try other menu items. Prices were reasonable and I highly recommend a visit here.

The bar area is in the front. The main dinning hall and private dinning area are off to the left of the bar area. I went in pregamed!!! I knew what I wanted and went straight to it. The complimentary bread and dip was not expected but was greatly appreciated. The bread is warm and that dip, that dip....so freaking good. It's tomato based I think. For the apps we ordered the meatball trio ( always order the balls), arancini bolognese, and the shrimp something. Everything was a hit!!! I can't remember the names of the main dishes. I had pasta with a cream sauce, chicken and spinach. My mother had a pork chop with veggies and roasted red potatoes. We sat at the bar and services was attentive even as it filled to capacity. The drinks were tasty, so much so that it lead to another round.

The environment and accessibility was somewhat difficult but there is a steel incline at the entrance if using a wheelchair. We were taken to be seated all the way in the corner. When it hit 6 pm, it was hard to get out due to the excessive amount of tables, and wheelchair was not accessible after. My table was given an automatic gratuity charge, with a table of 5, but the policy states "Parties of 6 or more subject to 20% gratuity. A 3% processing fee is applied to all credit card purchases." Overall the ambiance of the restaurant was good. The food was prepped nicely, my table ordered - Sodas, Caesar Salad, Bucatini Arrabiata with Chicken, shrimp scampi (GF), bucatini Delle Nonna, meatball trio, ravioli, and crab soup. 8/10 for taste, and presentation. I won't be coming back, but overall recommend just to try! If you are in the area. My server was pleasant overall too.

Zero Proof Night…read more Sunday 8:01 Appetizer : Watermelon Salad Entree: Stanford Burger Side : Sautéed Spinach, French Fries Zero Proof Drinks : Pom & Circumstance Half Moon My zero proof night was underwhelming. This bar does not give any presentation or flair to their non alcoholic beverages. Pom and Circumstance was zesty and sweet . The Half Moon drink was nothing more than grapefruit juice with a cherry . I was expecting more presentation since it's literally a tonic. I would like to mention that the bar was slammed with guests and the tables were not getting their drinks on time. So, maybe it was a slippery Sunday night for the bar and my zero proof drinks lacked in pizazz. The watermelon salad was a wild card choice as Glenwoods does not have much fresh fruit on the menu. I wish it was not so chunky ... chunks of watermelon and tomato covered in a balsamic sauce and feta cheese. This salad pairs nicely with the arugula. The sides were hot and came out expeditiously. The burger was undercooked and the server offered to re-Fire a new burger. 5 out 10 night .

The first thing I did was sit at the bar and look for half eaten food or replicated plates. There were a lot of burgers being served . The woman next to me was particularly unhappy. I asked her what she ordered but I already knew "that face" she made. It was the "Short rib gnocchi face". She explained that the meat was cooked to her liking but the "sauce" was not good. It reminded her of nasty beef stroganoff gravy. Interesting. Every time I come here this dish has mixed or straight up bad reviews. The gnocchi on her plate was neglected and swimming in the pool of "gravy". Welp. I ordered from the smaller menu. A tomato soup and lemon pepper wings . Don't forget my red wine , MEIOMI.
