We used another big service for a year trying to resolve a mouse problem in our house in San Francisco. The prior service caught zero mice while always being difficult to schedule a visit and always sending out a different technician, often young and inexperienced, who were quite often late for their appointments. Mr. Marichal is a local Alameda company. He answered his phone when I called and arranged to visit the next day for our rat issue. The rats had chewed wires on the dishwasher and it needs to be replaced. He was able to place traps behind the dishwasher, under the sink, and in the basement areas. He called me today and came to check the traps and will dispose of them as we catch them. I know we will get them all and I will feel confident buying another dishwasher with peace of mind. Local business and longtime Alameda resident, Gil Marischal, answered the phone at 9am Monday and showed up about an hour later. After waking up and finding splinters coming out from under my home office door, knew we clearly had a problem. Gil investigated inside and outside our home and set rat traps throughout. We caught the giant rat king that same night. I called Gil on Tuesday morning to let him know we had a catch, and within a couple of hours he came to dispose of the rat and clean up the immediate area. He recommended we retain the traps for a few more days just to ensure no additional friends or family were showing up. Gil also made recommendations on how to keep future critters out: cutting back a bush, replacing very old garage door with gaps, and keeping the sliding door closed. Excellent experience. Not only had Marichal come over the same day I called about services, but he also treated my house for ants within an hour of his arrival.
