The best part is they informed us how their rescue works and assured us that they are there for us 100% through the whole process. Even after adopting your new pup. I love how super quick they are to responding to messages, emails, phone calls. They really want to find their puppies and dogs, a forever Home. We are happy with our new Pup Tank and we renamed him Milo. Thank you Follow Your Heart Rescue for allowing us to believe in 2nd chances and helping us find our new fur family member! He is so loved! Ohh and spoiled!

The event was a bit chaotic in knowing how to fill out what to get to meet a dog but it all worked out. We were shocked novody else was interested in this sweet boy and his foster eas very kind and informative to help us make sure he was a good fit for our home. They were also very patient with us running around to grab supplies. While the adoption fee is a bit higher than some rescues there is a tax break and it's nice that majority if the shots were paid and planned along with the neutering. Andy came home healthy with us and immediately took to his big sister who he loves so much. It was nice that he had spent time with his siblings so he was used to having another dog around and is just a great pup for our family! Can't imagine not having adopted him the day we met him.

We adopted a dog from them a couple weeks ago and everyone was so nice when we came in to meet him!…read moreI guess the dog we picked was a favorite and it really showed because everyone wanted to come say bye to him and was so excited he was getting a forever home and he was so excited when they came out which really shows how well they treated him. You can tell how much they care about the dogs they have there!! They also wanted updates on him and how he was settling in and it was just all around an awesome experience and we absolutely LOVE our new dog!! He is such a sweetie pie and exactly how they described him. I got a like 8 page meticulous medical report on him and his health because he was part of a group of dogs they got from an overcrowded home and quite a few were sick when they got them. It was such a great experience and when we are ready to get another dog, we will absolutely be back! Couldn't recommend this rescue more!!!

I later…read morelearned just shortly after adopting her for $400 that she was actually much older than nine years. Two vets estimated her age to be 12 to 14 years old. We found out she couldn't see much at all. Thiscrescue had to know this information already. There was no mention at all about her health. I believe the foster knew too. The foster told us she felt this shih-tzu was much older!! Bottom line, I would not have adopted her if I knew she was much older than nine. $400 to get her at the end of her life. Sad. I love dogs and am giving her the best end of life years I can. But this experience with AZ small dog rescue was like a switch and bait, thought I was adopting a 9 or old with some decent years left. Instead, she is much older, blind and not healthy. These rescue places need to be more honest in their advertising.

She's made our lives full and the rescue is doing amazing work! Honestly, it's incredible how much time and effort the family who runs this rescue puts into the dogs they are helping rescue and we appreciate everything that they did in making our house complete. The first picture is Poppy when we adopted her and the second one is current. Thanks again!

I adopted a dog from West Valley Animal Rescue and, during the adoption process, I repeatedly asked whether he had any current symptoms or potential near-future medical needs. I was very clear that I needed full transparency before committing. Within hours of bringing him home, the poor little guy was unable to have a bowel movement. I immediately contacted the rescue and was assured multiple times that he had no issues while in their care. This went on for an entire week until I could get him into a veterinarian. The vet diagnosed him with a perineal hernia and told me there was no way this condition would have gone unnoticed. Meanwhile, I have text messages from the rescue stating he was completely fine in their care (photos attached). When I asked if they would help cover the surgery -- which is estimated at $6,844.07 -- their response was that I could return him for a refund and they would "provide the medical attention he requires." To me, that translates to refunding my adoption fee and taking him back, with no real assurance of what would actually happen next. It's heartbreaking. I will be paying for his surgery myself because there is absolutely no way I'm returning him. He deserves proper care and stability. I'm sharing this so others can make fully informed decisions and ask the right questions before adopting.

This rescue is phenomenal!…read more Last week, I adopted my second dog from here. I met with Chris who really took the time to get to know me and talk about the dog I was going to see before bringing him out. I really like how you can meet the dog in a calm environment (out in front of their house under the shade). This rescue is run by a family of four very committed people. They keep the dogs in a home on a large lot; the dogs are not kenneled. The animals are really in a "home" like environment until they find their forever families. They like to keep in touch with adopters, which is awesome and really shows that they care about placing dogs in the perfect home. I would definitely recommend this rescue to anyone looking to adopt a dog!

My little guy was scheduled to be killed because he was so scared. HOME took him in, cleaned him up and took care of him until I met him a month later. I went to an adoption day to look for another dog and saw my future babe in a corner licking his cage. It was love at first sight. He was the missing piece to our family. I can tell he was house trained by HOME and also treated very well. They made sure to interview us and make sure we kept in touch with them to let them know how it worked out. He has no behavioral issues, no health issues and they transferred his registration and microchip into my name after a month. They make sure their dogs don't end up on the street again. This organization also provides extensive medical care for injured dogs out of pocket. I always donate whenever I can. I will never forget the immense gift they gave me just by saving the life of a dog I would come to love more than anything. I would highly recommend this rescue!

MY good friend adopted 2 cats from here. It was a total hassle, horrible communication. And when we went to visit them before the adoption we were accosted by children at some sort of birthday party. The cats were STRESSED. WE WERE STRESSED. They scheduled our meeting with a birthday party for some young kids who were just flicking cat toys in our face and all the cats faces and running around so we couldn't interact like we would have hoped too. When we went to pick the boys up finally( 2 brothers who we were told wereNOT bonded but absolutely were.. thank goodness we took both)(..There was some sort of 'date' event going on and I had people swarming me constantly while I was trying to connect and CATCH the kitties we were taking home. It was a disaster. The price to adopt both was a Little outrageous as well considering you could tell they were fighting for food.... I appreciate what this woman is doing and please please adopt and don't shop, but be ready to spend some money and be frustrated trying to adopt.... Or even get a coffee from this cat 'CAFE'
