We purchased the pick of the litter from this breeder a few years ago. The owner even wanted for us to work with her and have our pup be a stud when he was of age. He has a lovely temperament and is beyond handsome. We reached out when he was of age to start discussing breeding and received no response. Now we know why. He has come down with acute hip dysplasia in both legs. No wonder we received no response back. We love our boy, but at what cost? Be sure you receive verification that both dogs used by this breeder for a litter you're considering to take a pup home from have been cleared via x-Ray and confirmed by a vet with a signature. The cycle of breeding dogs with genetic issues needs to end. I am a long time customer of Goldendoodletown. I became their web designer, frequent photographer, and Social Media Coordinator, because of their professionalism, and obvious integrity. I can tell you, without question, or reservation, that they are an exemplary breeder. Nearly half of their customers are return customers, or referrals. I have seen Goldendoodletowns entire operation firsthand, on many occasions, and it is always immaculate, whenever I visit to photograph the litters. Goldendoodletown has NEVER been shut down, ever, in the many years I have worked with them. That is absolutely incorrect. Their 2 year Health Warranty for genetic issues is the best in the industry, is more than fair to their customers, and is longer than required by law. It is only intended to cover genetics disorders. A previous reviewer, claims their puppy was having choking issues. Goldendoodtowns warranty clearly states that vet visits must be discussed with Goldendoodletown, and approved by them, prior to the appointment, in order to be compensated, but also clearly states that Goldendoodletown has the unconditional right, to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian as well, to confirm any diagnoses. The reviewer would not allow Goldendoodletown access to the puppy, for their veterinarian to determine the cause of the choking. Goldendoodletown never received a report from the reviewers veterinarian, and the claim was only conveyed verbally to Goldendoodletown for consideration. The reviewer then had the puppy euthanized, before Goldendoodtown could even see the puppy, or have it examined by their veterinarian. An examination which is a strict, and legally binding condition, of the warranty, which the reviewer agreed to, and signed, and failure to do so therefore voids the Health Warranty. Expecting Goldendoodletown to honor the warranty, and refund the purchase price, based only on their word, without opportunity to examine the puppy, and confirm the situation, is an unreasonable expectation by this customer. The puppy received a veterinarian puppy wellness check, immediately prior to being sent home, and was released for homing with no concerns. It is Goldendoodletown opinion that something happened to the puppy, in the customers care, and she simply considered the warranty to be a means of recovering her losses, at Goldendoodletowns expense. read more

We bought our double doodle from here and are not sure that what we have is actually a double doodle. We were told he would grow to be 35-40 lbs, and at 6 months is already exceeding 35lbs (and probably has another 3-5 months of growing) He looks nothing like a double doodle, more like a retriever with weird hair We love him and he is healthy, however if you're purchasing a dog from a breeder because you want a doodle, I would not choose this breeder. Worst by far worst experience with any business I have ever had! Communication is poor as the breeder has someone else run her communication through social media, we met and I took the dog for two hours and decided that it was not a good fit for our family as our other dog was agitated. The dog was brought to me filthy smelling of cigarettes and urine. I asked for a partial refund offering to surrender my deposit and when I was 10 minutes away from the meeting location I received a social media message indicating they would not refund any money to me until they were able to sell the dog. There was no contract, and hardly any information shared. This business has numerous red flags and I ignored them and am now paying the price literally. These are the kinds of people who give breeders a terrible reputation! STAY AWAY! Pay the few extra dollars for professionalism, a clean and healthy dog, great service... Do your research and make sure to ask questions before buying as this wasn't the case for our family. Purchased an 8 week old puppy, thought we had our questions answered but we did not. The puppy began throwing up the first weekend he was brought home. Contacted seller who said this was news to her and that she hadn't seen it. The puppy could not eat more than a few pieces at a time every 20-30 minutes otherwise he would throw up. This continued throughout the week and finally was able to see my vet. The puppy weighed 8lbs. The vet immediately recognized something was wrong just with the puppies breathing. X-rays completed and turns out that he had a blockage of the esophagus which caused all the throwing up and essentially the puppy was starving. This blockage was caused potentially by an enlarged heart, a birth defect. I immediately called the breeder so again said this was news to her and she didn't have any issues before I took him home. My vet even spoke to her and asked for her vet's information so the xrays could be sent. The breeder was unable to provide this information and asked that I call when I left the vet. Finished at the vet and the puppies outlook was very grim. I immediately called the breeder who then didn't answer. Tried multiple times and no answer, to this day have never spoken to her again. Started to text which she responded to...asked again for the vet information, was told it was a mobile vet, then hold they didn't work on Monday, then told out of town. Never once was I ever provided a simple name or number of her vet. Asked to return the dog for a full refund, now breeder was out of town and that I would have to return the dog to a son. Never provided information as to when or where. Less responsive on texts, again couldn't provide a vet contact. I provided my vet's information and to this day she never asked for the information or followed up. Never returned any money as she said she wasn't given the opportunity for a second opinion...I waited long enough and the puppy only grew sicker. Claims I was acting illegally by asking for information, said she called the police and a lawyer. The PD has no record of a phone call or report that she made as I did nothing illegal. Stated to not contact her again without a lawyer and will not communicate any further. She devastated a family as the puppy had to be put down otherwise would have starved to death if I continued to wait for her to procedure a vet's contact information. She never tried to do the right thing to return the money or care about the situation. Poor breeding and would hate for anyone else to go through this same situation that my family had to. The right thing for her was to refund the money but she never even considered it. Again, look around and ask questions. We were also not able to see the mother dog although she was in the house as the dog would become upset. read more
