Lack of Pain Management: When they removed my temporary crown, I was in significant pain. The dentist didn't explain why and only gave me a local injection after I practically begged for it. After the shot, the dentist left and never spoke to me again. Poor Workmanship: A hygienist - not the dentist - replaced the crown with temporary cement. It was seated unevenly, meaning it's now the only tooth that touches my top row, causing constant pain. Insurance & Referral Issues: I was referred to an orthodontist to fix the mess, but because this office already started the work, my insurance now covers 0% of the follow-up. Had I been referred correctly from the start, it would have been covered. (This sort of mistake is typically understandable oversight - but the lack of support after and persistent billing attempts make it clear this is emblematic of the practice.) Billing Over Care: The office has made zero effort to follow up on my unfinished, painful procedure, yet they constantly contact me for payment. Interestingly, the bill gets smaller every time I complain and every time its an "accident" that wont happen again. Bottom line: They seem more interested in my money than my dental health. It started with a warm welcome from Ashley getting me checked in. I then get taken back and see the hygienist Janet. She was full of wisdom and knowledge and very thorough in her examination communicating every step of the way!! We then made our way to the star of the show, Dr. Mark Brouillette. This man was the most caring doctor I have ever met. This is a man who genuinely wants to help people and isn't in this field for the money like everyone else. He was incredibly honest and beyond fair. So much so that this man literally brought tears to my eyes. He made me feel soooo comfortable and made sure I was taken care of. He not only was going to be able to fix everything, he also showed me the teeth that needed to be fixed in the other places opinion was a complete attempt to rob me, as I didn't know any different. He is one of the few people I healthcare that are in it for the right reason and not money!!! He then went to work on a price with Daniel, who was an absolute dream to work with. I'm so glad that I listened to my instincts and got a second look from Dr. Thomas. The office was super flexible in getting me scheduled during a convenient time, and everyone I interacted with was so courteous and kind. During the exam, I was praying it was nothing because I would have done ANYTHING to avoid a crown! After a closer look, however, Dr. Thomas found that the situation was even worse than a cracked tooth. The 10 year old filling was simply never done well enough to begin with and resulted in underlying problems that caused me pain and cold sensitivity for almost a decade. The way Dr. Thomas put it: "They did a half measure back then, but we will give it a full measure so you don't have trouble with that tooth again." I couldn't believe my last dentist never saw that this was an issue. I'll spare the details on a public forum, but once we went forward with a root canal and crown, all of Dr. Thomas' findings from the initial exam turned out to be correct and the work he did very likely saved my tooth, and saved me from so much more suffering. Now that my crown is in, I have had no sensitivity or pain and I honestly didn't realize how much discomfort I had been in for so long until it was corrected! Even though this office is further from my home, I will be looking to move my whole family to the trusted care of Dr. Thomas + team. You only get one set of permanent teeth -- don't leave it up to half measure effort.

However, DM Family Dentistry turned out to be worth the gamble as it was a total winner. The front office staff were so wonderful and patient about my insurance and having to reschedule my appointment twice. When I finally had my appointment I was a little nervous. Destiny who did my x-rays and cleaning was so nice and gentle. She understood that I was nervous and gave me positive words and reinforcement that I was doing well. This continued with Dr. Brooks as he listened tot my concerns and checked everything out! He said that I was doing well with brushing and flossing and that they will keep an eye on a couple of tight contact areas. Then when I said I needed to be out of there by 8am, the cleaning lasted 10 minutes. She took my X-rays, the doctor came in and didn't even look at my mouth, but told me I needed 2 crowns - $2300 please and asked me if I floss! I floss religiously, but then the Dr. would have known that if she had taken a look at my mouth. After telling me I needed two crowns, she finally looked at my mouth for all of 10 seconds. So disappointed. So angry that my insurance will pay $250 for that service. Of course, I don't trust the diagnosis and will have to take the time to get a second opinion.

When I came back to get my permanent cap put on Dr Ward explained step by step what he was doing and why. I have never experience this with a dentist before. I really appreciated him doing that.
