Fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised with the service and cake from Marisa here at Marie's Gourmet Bakery. We couldn't decide on the filling so I ordered a verity of cupcakes with different cake and filling options from Marisa. We then narrowed it down to the cake and filling and she went off a photo I got from the internet to show her the drip style cake and she did it perfectly! My wife liked the combo of white cake with bavarian cream and strawberries but asked if they could do the fill more like a pudding consistency and Marisa did it. Everyone who had the cake loved it and I already referred a few people to them. Excellent job and I will be back read more

We visited Vegas for a 30th bday celebration in October of 2020. Mid pandemic, the owner of the bakery, Todd, delivered with kindness And accommodation to our party. So Todd is a patient of mine at abbey dental and we did some work for him, he said he was going to bring a cake and guess what he did the hole office went nuts this cake like a work of art my goodness, wow wow wow talk about decadent. And mouth watering it was a chocolate moose cake with 6 layers the cake was cold the moose was perfect creamy not to sweet!!!! I can vouch for the hole office this guy is a master chef.... so if your looking to impress anyone order from Todd you can not go wrong worth every dollar hands down.... thank you so much Todd this cake was the best I have ever had!!!!! This is the bakery I get all of my real buttercream birthday cakes from! I am always last minute when it comes to ordering a cake, they never let me down. My favorite is the traditional "buttery" buttercream frosting, they have two types, a true butter and a sweeter shortening type buttercream so be specific. ok so the real buttercream frosting with marble cake, and a vanilla bavarian creme filling. This is my go to spot for whenever I have a craving for something sweet. Some of my regular purchases here are their canolis, eclairs, pistachio cheesecake, and tiramisu. My only grip with this place is that they don't always have the previously mentioned items available for purchase. So with my most recent visit here I was stuck with just getting their ice cream sandwich. Now, I did say stuck, but not because I had to settle for a inferior purchase, it was the only thing I have had in the past that I knew I liked. The sandwich was just as good as the last time I had one. A big mound of ice cream in between two cookies, and coated in chocolate chips. Not one part of the sandwich out shined another. The two cookies were soft and had a good amount of chocolate chips in them, and tasted delicious on their own. Hopefully the next time I come back, the items I normally like will be available. If not, there are plenty of other delectable items to choose from to satisfy my sweet tooth. read more

When it comes time to have a party, the first two things I do are pick the date and call Todd at Marie's Gourmet Catering. Whether it's an intimate gathering for 25 or a wedding reception for 150 people, Todd takes a HUGE burden off my shoulders and takes care of ALL the details. Everything is perfect every time. Todd and his crew (especially Marisa) assume the responsibility for everything from the rental equipment to all the food preparation and set-up. I clear the decks in my kitchen, Todd arrives and sets the stage for a perfect event. I worry about nothing. He chooses the menu just how I want it without any fuss.... just a few "pow wow" phone calls and it's perfect every time. The last event I hosted was my son's wedding reception with dinner for 150 people at my home in Las Vegas. The compliments I received were too numerous to count. The food was exquisite and plentiful, so beautifully presented. The wedding cake was outstanding, just what the bride wanted! My guests were overwhelmed at how delicious everything was. Todd is always so cute. He checks in with me throughout the gathering, making sure I am happy whether I lost my cocktail or hadn't yet taken the time to have something to eat myself. At the end of the evening, my kitchen is back to it's original condition, there is not a dirty dish to be seen. Todd is someone I can always count on. I wouldn't think of using a different caterer. read more

Looks like Marie does a lot of fancy cakes.... She has photos of many special cakes for various occasions in her photo album. I got a chance to taste the dark chocolate dipped strawberry with white and milk chocolate shavings. It was very good. I will definitely come back for more. read more

I worked with Todd and Marissa for 3 years, They provided all of our desserts for our special events and catering dept. Our parties were up to 4000ppl, which required up to 12000 -15k pieces of pastries, They're desserts were always consistent, fun, whimsical, and always received compliments from our guests. Maries Gourmet Bakery team does an extraordinary work and are always on time. They also have baked cakes for my family that were memorable and delicious. The cake that I ordered for my daughter's birthday at Rainforest Cafe came form this place. It was a tall vanilla cake with a raspberry cream filling and buttercream icing. It was hands down the best cake I have ever eaten. We had requests from several parents to take a piece home with them. We actually sliced up and froze some of the pieces (it was a huge cake) to save and it was just as good thawed out weeks later. Not only was this cake beautiful, it TASTED amazing too! read more

My office regularly orders lunch here and this review is only for their deli lunches. Prices are very reasonable and portions are ginormous. I am partial to the Roast Beef sandwich and the pasta salad has kind of a pimento spice to it. I like it and I am not a pasta fan. You can do a half sandwich AND half salad and bring it in under my lunch budget. Plus, they deliver like Dominos. Always here in 30 minutes or less. That's what I'm talking about! read more

I had my girlfriend's birthday cake made here and it was so wonderful. She loved it, and it was super gorgeous with real flowers! However it was too much for the two of us so we did share some of it with the guests next to us. The cake was also quite delicious and both of us were super impressed. News Report. They have Roaches.. stopped in 1 early morning satisfying my sweet tooth.. I ordered 2 cupcakes So I was waiting for the cashier to complete my order as I was waiting I saw a German Roach Crawling on the Wall.. I was like OMG... I picked up a cupcake from here and was not impressed. The interior was dark and they had hardly anything on display. There are huge fridges around the dining area but they are just stainless steel, not display cases. It was a cloudy day outside and it made the inside seem pretty dismal. It was in the afternoon, so that may be why they only had a few things for sale. The place was pretty empty and they helped me pretty fast. The cupcake was vanilla and it was moist, but the icing was a disappointment. It just tasted like sugary shortening. I threw it out because it just wasn't worth the trouble of eating. read more

They take care of every detail and the menu selection, food and service has always been amazing. I've heard good things about this bakery/restaurant. Many of our legal staff order weekly from Marie's. Ordered a BLT at 1:30. To go. With pasta salad. Salad was good...BLT down right gross. Bacon looked like it was dredged up from garbage or other sandwiches. Litterly had to rip it apart. Skinny slices of tomato, avacado with black spots. For $9.00 I expected more. Great little spot a block up the street The Coffee Pub give it a try or across the street Palace Station. read more

For my wedding I checked with Freed's and decided to go with Marie's. I'm so happy I did, it was the perfect experience! I chose a cake by looking at their online pictures and it was exactly what I wanted. I also sent them my cake topper by mail (which I was a little nervous about), but not to worry it was all there on wedding day. One of my friends still raves about this cake! It was italian creme with buttercream frosting. I also went to Vegas on my b-day and HAD to order the exact same thing! Just as good as the first time! read more

The fondant was all cracked and our bottom tier was the wrong flavor, and they said when u order a cake u get a 2nd cake for free just for the bride and groom but we never got it. I've tried to contact them but have gotten a response back. read more

I saw a review that their cupcakes don't taste good, but I'm pretty sure that lady was on drugs because I'm envious of how their cupcakes taste and wish the ones I baked at home tasted this good. The consistency of the cake is just perfect, not too firm/not too soft, and the buttercream frosting is amazing! As for the food: Caesar Salad - Not bad, the only thing I dislike is that their "Caesar" dressing tastes nothing like Caesar salad dressing, but the chicken is seasoned well. Doesn't have that tangy anchovy or lemon taste you expect. Pasta Salad - Personally not my favorite because it has a strange taste, but it isn't terrible; it's just not what you expect pasta salad to taste like. However, I believe they use the same ingredients to make the coleslaw and it works well with the coleslaw, just not the pasta salad. Gumbo - Their gumbo is very good. Being a person of ethnic background I was surprised just how good it was. The bread it comes with it quite tasty as well. Chicken Salad Sandwich - This is also pretty good. Portabella Panini - This is good depending on what day you get it. Sometimes it's WAY too greasy (especially since there's no meat in it) and the veggies are over cooked and slide out because there's so much grease, but I've had it a few times when it was made perfectly, with not much grease and just veggies that still have a bit of a crunch. Overall the flavor is always nice. Lemonade - you might walk in and think that there's dirt in their lemonade container, but IT'S FRESH VANILLA BEAN, and my god it's the most genius idea to put fresh vanilla bean into lemonade. It's not something you would expect to taste good, but it's seriously delicious. Beef Bahn Mi Sandwich - it's very good also, but very spicy so be careful if you don't like spicy food because the jalapenos had my mouth on fire. Essentially it tastes like pho on a bun, very flavorful. read more

Had the opportunity to try a slice of carrot cake at Katherine's fine dining in Mesquite Nevada. The carrot cake was delicious, one of the best ones I have tasted. The cheesecake was also very delightful. Tried to purchase a full size cheesecake and carrot cake, unfortunately they only sell by the slice. Staff informed us that all the pastries come from Marie's Gourmet Bakery in Las Vegas. If you want the best carrot cake in the world I highly recommend you go there. Don't bother. Sign says they close at 4. Went in at 3. Place was "closing" clean without any signs of food, people, or service. The lady behind the counter seemed very annoyed that I even came in. The exterior is under construction, but the inside customer service needs a revamp. Made a special trip to shop there. Won't be back. read more

We had Marie's make our wedding cake for our reception at Paris on 9/27. They did such a great job. We decided to go with a basic vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting since our reception venue included a third dessert course and I didn't want to mix too many flavors or have it get too complicated. We chose a single layer cake for about 27 or so guests. It was PERFECT! The cake was moist, and the frosting was decadent. My husband doesn't care for really sweet desserts, and this cake was perfect! It was sweet without being overly sweet. Additionally, they were able to use the cake topper I mailed them. I would highly recommend them for any wedding cake job! read more

I arrived at 939pm, looked at the menu and decided on a slice of the Ube Crepe cake and one of the Apple Cinnamon macarons. They don't close until 10pm and people were still coming in, and there were still plenty of people sitting in the restaurant, but the staff didn't let me order anything at 945pm saying that she doesn't take any more orders after 930pm. What?!?! What the hell? You're open for a whole 30 more minutes and don't want to take my money - am I hearing that right? My friend had cash on him, and he was willing to pay cash if that's less of a hassle, and still no. It's not even to-go only, it was a flat-out no, before their 10pm closing time. THAT IS CALLED CRAP SERVICE. However, the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars is because one anonymous employee who witnessed that go down changed my perspective of this spot. This person asked me not to reveal their identity on my Yelp review out of fear of getting in trouble. They overheard me trying to order but got turned away, then pointed to the macaron in a box in the fridge on display right there to my friend. So as I was walking towards the bathroom, this person (different than the girl who rudely turned me away) apologized for what happened and gave me the apple cinnamon macaron as a gift. That was so sweet of them. The macaron was absolutely perfect too, it was delicious - the perfect texture of the macarons, apple filling, in the center between the cream, with the crunch from I think they were dried apple bits on the side of the cream - amazing!!! But still insanely Vegas tourist trap rip off overpriced with the macaron that person gave me worth $8.35/piece. Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, CA or Durian Macarons at Sweet Mood in Westminster, CA, still keep their also delicious macarons under $5 each while having cute decor/ambiance (I'll admit they're not as impressive and unique as this spot though). But they're essentially banking on tourists not knowing any better and what things should actually be worth/gouging tourists as much as they can. Essentially, you're paying for the ambiance. Definitely not paying for the crap service. Food is good, but not astronomically priced good - you're kidding yourselves. You may be able to get away with stuff like that if you're inside one of the luxurious casinos on the Strip, like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, etc. But especially being off-strip, get a reality check. I may come back (thanks to your anonymous employee's kind gesture giving me that macaron), but it's more just to show my parents the cool ambiance.

Unfortunately, today's experience was incredibly disappointing. I ordered a breakfast crepe, a curry cheese sandwich, and three cakes. The food was served without any fork or knife. When I asked about it, there was simply no effort to provide basic service. The bigger issue was when I purchased a birthday cake for a friend. I was told there were no bags available for a 6-inch cake. However, I saw other customers receiving bags. I even asked, "If I buy two more cakes, making it three cakes total, would you be able to give me a bag? I only have two hands." The staff still said no. That response honestly made no sense. What made the experience even more upsetting was that I had my service dog with me. From the moment I walked in to place my order, I could already feel that the staff member was unhappy and dismissive. I truly hope that wasn't the reason for the way I was treated, but it certainly felt that way. This isn't just my opinion anymore. Many of my friends have said the same thing: the cakes are excellent, but the customer service is consistently disappointing. People come because the products are great, not because they're treated well. Sadly, it feels like there's no hospitality--only attitude. My family and I have supported Suzuya since the very beginning, back when the first location opened on Durango. We've watched the business grow over the years, and it's honestly disappointing to see the customer experience decline. Ordering now feels like talking to a robot who simply doesn't care. I've always heard wonderful things about Mike, and from what I've seen, he seems like a genuinely kind person. I can't help but wonder how he would feel if he knew his customers were being treated this way by his staff. I'm usually not someone who complains or leaves negative reviews. It takes a lot for me to write something like this. But today's experience was frustrating enough that I felt it needed to be said. Yes, Suzuya makes fantastic cakes--but great products should never be an excuse for poor customer service. Loyal customers deserve to feel appreciated, not dismissed.
