I was in such excitement when I got the cake, but it turned into a nightmare when I try it. So, so bad. It ruined the end of my wedding lunch. The almond taste was completely unbalanced, parts of the cake inside was dry, the chocolate ganache was so so thick and ultra sweet that was revolting and the butter cream as well. Absolutely a bad decision on my part to rely only on reviews for this. $130 down the drain. Yuck!
I finally found the very best Cake and cupcake business in Vegas! They are always SO accommodating to whatever needs I have, and literally blow me away with the designs they come up with. Exceeds my expectations every time. The best part is the flavor. I am very picky about my desserts. And they are absolutely delicious! I won't be going anywhere else. They are all very kind, patient, and personable. It's a mom and daughter who run the business, and I love that. I will recommend to all my friends in Vegas.
Dawn and Kelly were absolutely fantastic to deal with- their customer service was amazing, and they went above and beyond to make my birthday perfect by accommodating my requests! The cake was absolutely delicious! I even flew it back home from Las Vegas to Canada, and after a week, it was still moist and amazing- everybody loved it, and the picture I sent them of how I wanted it decorated was flawless! I highly recommend them!!

When I first visited, Kim went over the design I had in mind by drawing a sketch and throwing ideas of what she would do, etc. It was a sense of relief knowing the ideas she wanted to implement to make this spectacular. I was very pleased to see the finished product. Not to mention a marble cake cake with oreo filling. Wow, that combination worked better than I imagined. Prices are reasonable as they are just what I pictured they'd be. And the work they put towards the cake, I can't wait to see what else they can do. There are varieties of cake flavors and fillings that allow you to put together a delicious cake. Just the thought of what works with what makes me want to eat sample cakes. But the fact that both Kim and Dawn has made this day a memorable one made it all worth it. I will definitely be back for future orders! Thank you!
First time I have ever ordered a custom made cake. So glad I found Cake Designs to do a cake for my birthday celebration. I had some ideas and called Kim, she helped me with what would work best. I had around 50 guests and wanted a cake to be special, delicious and unique for this special occasion. The design was amazing, everyone commented on how beautiful the cake was. And once we cut it and served it up the cake tasted amazing. The chocolate cake was so moist and tasty. The Bavarian cream filling was just perfect. I will definitely go back to Cake Designs for my next cake. Everyone wanted to know who made this cake and where I got it. It was a big hit for this birthday event. Thank you!
Cake Designs did it again! When my son and (then) fiancé told me they were getting married in Vegas, I knew exactly where to order their wedding cake (I ordered from here once before in 2018 for a friend's anniversary party). They once again created a delicious and beautiful cake exactly how we wanted it for our son's small (9 people) wedding on 5/15/21. Ordering was easy (we live in CA) and they were very helpful with suggestions on flavors and decorating styles. They were able to meet all our special requests and we all loved how it turned out. AND it was so delicious! We ordered buttercream frosting, with a tier of chocolate cake with banana filling and second tier with lemon cake with blueberry filling. I will continue to order from Cake Designs for our special occasions when visiting Vegas! Thank you so much Cake Designs! We all LOVED the cake!
Cake Designs is our new go to for cakes. We had previously gone to major retailers for cakes but NO MORE! Dawn is absolutely fabulous. She surged above our expectations on our anniversary cake. It was so beautiful and was one of the best cakes I had ever had. And the best part- It was very reasonably priced! Thank you Dawn!
Appetizer: The address on their order/invoice is completely wrong. I spent way too much time going to the address listed on the slip, just to find that they're not at that location. Meat: I did not receive what I expected at all. The applique of the logo is wavy, and the "Packers" stenciling in each end zone is so unclean I wanted to throw up. I tried to explain that this was not what I expected and what I did expect, but nothing could be done to make this look somewhat decent. Seriously, the endzones are so dirty, it looks like a child is just learning how to do cakes. Ridiculous and gross. I had to take the day off work because their hours make it so impossible to pick up orders before or after work. In short, I paid $80 for a goose chase and a shit cake that I'm too embarrassed to present to my boyfriend. I really hate that I had to pay that much for a poorly designed cake but it was either take the refund or take this shit cake you already told your boyfriend was not only late but would be waiting for him when he also gets off work. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Plenty of better cake designers who will actually give you what you paid for.
I had Dawn help me design a cake for my son's 4th birthday. She gave me suggestions as to what flavors and filling/icing would be best together. I told her that the flavor and taste was much more important to me then the appearance and I would be easy to please. Dawn knocked it out of the park with both taste and look. The cake was even more beautiful then what we expected from the concept she gave me. There were so many little details added to this masterpiece, it was difficult for me to cut and serve such a beautiful piece of art. This bakery is family owned and ran, professional, clean, and I would emphatically recommend this business to anyone needing an awesome cake. Dawn was such a sweetheart and really took her time talking with me and explaining her ideas. Thank you for such a great experience! I will definitely be coming back for all our kids birthday cakes from now on

They were amazing! Staff was super friendly and the cake was perfect. We ordered a cake for my daughter's high school graduation off a recommendation from a friend. They did not disappoint. Where do I startttttt?!?!!?! I don't know how to express how grateful we are to have found Cake Designs. Not only was the presentation BEAUTIFUL but the flavors were DELICIOUS! We have been coming here for years. Kim and her sister do an amazing job designing cakes. Every cake we have ordered exceeds all our expectations, from the flavor, the filling, and design. All have been crowd pleasers. The shop is organized and clean, with cakes on display for you to view. Many times we may have a picture of the design we would like or you can talk to them about a theme and the will send you a few ideas of what you might like. They seem to make it really easy to have an amazing cake at your next event. I highly recommend that you try this place. read more

We had the absolute BEST experience with Cake Designs from start to finish! They made our dream cake come to life, and it was absolutely delicious! We got so many compliments on our cake at our wedding. The girls were so nice to work with. They were so kind and understanding when we had to postpone our wedding because of the pandemic, and they made the entire process so easy! Also, they are so fairly priced! Thank you for the awesome cake, everyone loved it, especially my son which is who mattered to me if he liked it or not, his face was in awe and got upset for use having to cut him up when it came time to eat it..... you have exceeded the expectations of how it turned out, the city details were awesome! And it tasted great, im glad i came back......for the readers this was a cake i presented from a picture off the internet, and they made it even better than what i showed, it was a marble cake with Bavarian cream... cake was tasteful with the cream combo as suggested.... it was a 9 or 10" i cant recall and was enough to feed 20 people.... great cake , great price! read more

This is absolutely the best place in Las Vegas to get your special occasion cake. I am from the S.F. bay area and I have ordered 3 cakes from Dawn and Kim over the last few years. All 3 have been perfection. I am also a baker but I can't bring cakes with me 500 miles away from home. So when in Vegas I turn to Cake Design. I am thankful I found them. They are way better than where I got my wedding cake 10 years ago, from the so called number 1 place in Vegas, that I will never return to. So if you want a beautiful cake that is also tasty, look no further. The prices are great, and the service is amazing. read more

We've been fans for awhile but after our amazing, delicious, beautiful, perfect wedding cake we are in love with Cake Designs. We had few different flavors to go with our Celtic themed wedding including vanilla with baileys filling, Guinness chocolate, & red velvet. Everyone loved the cake! It was decorated perfectly too!!! In addition our wedding was in between Christmas and New Years and we changed the delivery time on a day they were closed and they made it happen no questions asked. I ordered a McQueen cake for my son's 2 birthday before yesterday. It was amazing from the outside. Everybody were complementing on it. I couldn't dream for better design. But the inside was very dry and simple like a cheap store cake. Nobody asked for a second piece, and some people left theirs on the plate. I wish they would make it more moist. And really start to find ways to stand out from all the rest of bakeries that does the same crap. Dry, sweet with lack of soul cakes. Watch some recipes on YouTube or smth. The lady in the store was really nice and was helping me with order very well. But that's it, sorry. P.S. I asked two layers of strawberry cream on the chocolate part of the cake to make it more moist, but it had only one very thin between two dry layers of cake. Didn't worth the money at all. read more

Cake Designs did a great job for my wedding. First off, their prices can't be beat. Secondly they really listen and care about making you happy. Important things to know about them: their cakes, fillings and frostings tend on the sweeter side. Some people love that, I do not, so I had to be careful to pick something I was happy with. Their buttercream is more sugery and less creamy. Again this is a matter of taste. Their standard "whipped" frosting is DELICIOUS! I admit, it didn't sound very yummy to me, but it really was lovely. We ended up choosing a marble cake with whipped frosting, bavarian cream filling with fresh strawberries. It was a nice combo of flavors. read more

The Jameson cake was absolutely amazing and exceeded all my expectations and more. The cake they made was so much better than the picture provided. We have been going to Cake Design for a while now. Every occasion, birthdays, baby showers anytime we need a cake we always get our cakes here. They do such an amazing job! We just got our daughters cake and smash cake here for her first birthday and it was adorable! Everything we wanted! And the ladies are super friendly and helpful. These ladies are hands down, the best in Vegas I have never been disappointed, and my family has ordered at least 8 cakes from them. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five, 1. bc you have to order at least a week in advance bc they are in such high demand, and have amazing pricing so the are always super busy 2. They accidentally put a 7 instead of a 6 on this TMNT cake I ordered, which I'm 99% certain I told them he was turning six... other than that absolutely no complaints.
