Kathy did an amazing job on our cake, both in design and taste. We traveled to Vegas from Texas for our wedding and never got the chance to do a taste test. It was SO good. We had guests come to us during the reception to tell us how great the cake was. Thank you for all your hard work! You're the best!

I would recommend Kathy with Tiers of Joy 100%!! Her cakes are not only delicious on the inside but beautiful on the outside!! She is so talented, I gave her pictures of cakes I liked and my color scheme and she made the most gorgeous cake for my friends baby shower! She is easy to communicate with and replies quickly! Thank you Kathy!

.......I can't believe I forgot to write her a review all this time! Kathy custom made our gorgeous cake for our wedding on 07/07/14 at Sunset Gardens LV. Her masterpiece was included in our wedding package for our venue, so we weren't sure what to expect. From the start of our meeting at the cake tasting, she was Super Awesome! She had all possible flavor cakes and frostings/fillings ready for us to try. Honestly all of it was delicious! I'm not a fan of alot of heavy flavor. I believe we spoke once more time after that before our wedding day to discuss our final decision on the flavor. Short and Sweet! On our wedding day, I was so so happy with the final presentation!! It was EXACTLY what we wanted and freakin delicious!! She treated our cake with tons of care and scrutiny. I can't tell you how happy we were with it! Bomb.com! As you all know, I guess the tradition of eating your wedding cake 1 year later........We were not looking forward to this lol. Every couple who went through this advised us to transfer our cake ASAP into a tupperware so it wouldn't taste so cardboard-ish as it usually does. Of course we were to lazy to listen, so we ended up keeping it in the same cardboard box and triple bagging it for now a year.......which was yesterday, 07/07/15. I can honestly say we both enjoyed the cake!!!! It was seriously so delicious still ...of course with some very minor hints of cardboard taste at different bites. Call us strange but we still have it......LOL!! Kathy at "Tiers of Joy" is SUPER AMAZING as her cake spoke for itself!!! =) (btw.. 3 tiers of almond cake with the following icings I believe: white chocolate chiffon, mocha chiffon and pineapple cream chiffon)

    PERFECTION

Our wedding cake was so BEAUTIFUL! We got married at Sunset Gardens and the cake was included in the package. I've seen her work through YELP at Sunset Garden page and I knew what I wanted for the design. We had a 3 tier cake and the flavors are RED VELVET, LEMON RASPBERRY ( I believe), and the top was CHOCOLATE w/ HAZELNUT FILLINGS. Oh my goodness, it was so DELICIOUS. Even our guests loved our wedding cake. Kathy was such a sweetheart and answered all my questions about our wedding cake. There is also a $25 charge for the cake board; the beautiful silver one.

This photo doesn't even do our cake justice it was beautiful.

Kathy made us the most AWESOME wedding cake for our wedding on 12/22/17- I had sent her a Pinterest idea and she more than exceeded our expectations. The cake had a fish bowl in the center with two fish as my husband is an avid fishermen. It was so awesome it had nautical ropes, anchors, perfect colors, it was very tasty and was a hit with everyone of our guests. We now have our fish in a special bowl we had made for them in our home. We flew home with these little buggers, LOL. Ever want to confuse the TSA.... Try flying with a fish. So thankful for Kathy, her creativity and willingness to make this cake everything we hoped for and so much more.

Amazing cake from Kathy. Frosting pattern chosen from example on her website. White Choc mouse frosting. (Toppers from Etsy!)

Kathy did an AMAZING job of our wedding cake! We were only able to meet with her once before the wedding, since it was a destination wedding in Vegas. All of our communication was through email. Kathy was easy to communicate with, quick to respond, very thoughtful, and thorough. She gave great suggestions and offered extra options that were incredibly helpful. Our cake was 2 round tiers with one being chocolate cake and the other was lemon cake. Both had raspberry filling and a white chocolate mousse frosting. She was even kind enough to check to see if we wanted the frosting more of a white or ivory color. The cake received rave reviews with guests telling us the ate 2 or more pieces! With many of our guests being chefs/pastry chefs, that is a HUGE compliment! Overall, the cake was beautiful and delicious. It was exactly the way we imagined it to be! Working with Kathy and having the cake be budget friendly were a definite plus! She as very sweet and genuinely caring. Thank you Kathy!

a wedding cake on a gold platter

We had our wedding at Sunset Gardens and Tiers of Joy did our cake. It was delicious!! I wished I could have ate more of it!

Kathy made choosing our wedding cake a breeze! It looked exactly as we expected, and tasted amazing!! We had more than enough cake for our 110 guests, and everyone loved it! Thank you Kathy!

our wedding cake from Tiers of Joy

We had Kathy of Tiers of Joy make our wedding cake, and additional cup cakes. We could not have been any more impressed. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and just as tasty as it looked. Kathy was very sweet and helpful.

The best cake from Tiers of Joy.

Yelp! review #20 of 2026 Online order April 04…read more I stopped by the 85°C Bakery Cafe in Henderson (673 N Stephanie St) to pick up a birthday cake for a friend, and it also served a dual purpose for a class assignment on experiencing Filipino food. We ordered the Ube Cake online, and the slice hit the spot perfectly. The cake looked beautiful - nice tall layers of soft, moist purple ube sponge cake with thick white cream filling, a creamy yellow custard-style center, and finished with whipped cream on top. The ube flavor was well-balanced: that signature nutty, earthy sweetness without being overly sweet. I've had great home-cooked Filipino ube desserts before. While this is clearly a fusion bakery version, it still captured the comforting, celebratory vibe that ube brings to Filipino tables. It reminded me of the festive sweets you'd find at family gatherings or parties back in my wifes home country. The online ordering was convenient, but the pickup instructions could have been better. The pickup area is on the same side as the drink pickup, which caused a little confusion during a busy time. Service was otherwise fast and friendly, the bakery was clean and well-stocked, and prices are reasonable for the portion size. If you're in the Henderson/Las Vegas area and looking for a quick ube fix or any of their other Asian- and Filipino-inspired pastries, this spot is worth a stop. The ube cake was definitely the highlight for me. Would definitely grab another slice next time I'm craving something purple and delicious!

I also love all the locations! Sad they closed the one at Lake Las Vegas but I understand. I bring all my friends while they visit and they're also very pleased! CREPES, COFFEE AND MORE…read more.. I went to this French cafe over a week ago to try to get a crepe to go. It was not overly busy. It's very casual and easy to order at the counter and go. Think again. I got through the line quickly. Placed my order and watched everyone around me receive their food, dine and leave within 30 minutes all while I was still standing at the front waiting for 1 gluten free crepe with fruit. There was a sign up front that asked guests to be prepared to wait longer times so I really tried to be patient. I waited. After 40 minutes still standing up front I still had no crepe. I asked the cashier if she remembered me and she said my order would be ready momentarily. I took a closer look at the order and noticed that the gluten free crepe was buckwheat batter of which when I ordered they didn't make mention of this. Due to my allergies and sensitivity I had to wait again to speak with someone else who appeared to be managing, perhaps the owner. He claimed they make their own batter and brought out the bag of buckwheat flour. Then read on google the ingredients. I really thought a gluten free crepe was mainly made of alternative flour such as coconut flour--not here. I also pulled up this information however I did not want to take a risk. He told the cashier at the counter to issue me a refund and he turned back around to make more coffee orders. I overall felt like I had wasted my time here. I used to take my kids here and haven't been here since they remodeled and expanded. I was by myself and really just wanted something to eat but was not offered anything else. That part upset me the most. Then my refund took a week long. Really thought the refund should have been immediately. The cafe is really cute! I love the decor and feel in here but just really disappointed in this whole experience and not the best quality of customer service. Located on Horizon Ridge Parkway in Green Valley.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful atmosphere. The restaurant is thoughtfully decorated, spotless, and has a warm, welcoming feel that immediately makes you comfortable. The staff was exceptional--friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. Our waters were never empty, our food arrived quickly, hot, and beautifully plated, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. I ordered the Nico's Gyro with feta fries, and it was absolutely delicious. The gyro was packed with flavor, the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the feta fries were the perfect indulgent side. One friend ordered the Theo Salad, which looked incredible, and another had the Souvlaki Platter. Everything that came to the table looked phenomenal, and the portions were impressively generous. You definitely get a lot of food for your money here. Beyond the food, I was also impressed by their beverage selection. While I didn't try any of the drinks this visit, they offer a variety of unique coffees, juices, and specialty beverages that looked fantastic. And then there were the desserts. Our server mentioned that many of them are imported, and they looked absolutely incredible. I'll definitely be making another trip back just to sample a few of them. It's hard to beat a family-owned restaurant that delivers on every level--fresh, flavorful food, generous portions, outstanding service, a beautiful atmosphere, and an impressive selection of drinks and desserts. I live on the opposite side of Henderson, but Theo's is absolutely worth the drive. I'll definitely be back and will happily recommend it to friends and family. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and check them out. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered chicken, my colleague the "beef" but whats not mentioned (i ordered for her) is that its a beef and lamb combo. She absolutely didn't want lamb but ate it anyway because I didnt tell her and luckily she didn't notice. We both got halfway done and said we would have been happier with a gyro from the Great Greek or even a Port of Subs sandwich. The chicken was marinated in too much lemon it was overpowering and neither of us finished the gyros. I hate to give a negative review of a family-owned place but it wasn't for me, or my coworker who isn't anywhere as picky as I am.

Lindsay, my sister, sent me pictures months ago showing me what she wanted and those pictures were sent to Darlene. Very simple, no frills, black, flat top, chocolate cake with smooth sides. Ive seen the pictures on her site,so I know she could do this. If she couldn't, she shouldve done a practice run and at least given Lindsay more than a few hours notice before dropping a bomb on what should be the happiest day of someones life. This is so insanely unprofessional! Honestly, a refund is not even enough for doing that to someone on their wedding day! I spent the day before the wedding calling every single bakery in Las Vegas, willing to pay double to get her something to be able to cut with her husband on her happy day and it was too short of notice. Not only did Darlene not apologize, she tried to pass off a bulbous, over decorated cake that looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture, saying "here's your gorgeous cake". When Lindsay expressed that it wasnt even remotely close to what they discussed, she took no accountability, offered no solution and simply said, "it can't be changed, sweetheart". Upon further conversations, she said she would "try" to make something else. At $350 for flour and sugar, it should look exactly like the picture. It honestly probably took more work to make what she presented than what Lindsay actually wanted. As a small business owner myself, I know mistakes happen, but I also know the importance of customer service, making things right and taking accountability. Word to the wise, maybe do a test run first to ensure your wedding day isn't ruined if you choose to work with Darlene.
