I was late in large part because of a bad accident right outside their office where the traffic light was out and you couldn't turn into the parking lot. Had a surgery scheduled and was told that I didn't need any clearances for it. 8 days before the surgery they called and told me that I needed pulmonary clearance and there was simply no way to get it done in 8 days. I've been a patient of the Windy Hill location - Dr. Weiner for years, but since he left a few years ago, I've been shuffled amongst different doctors, some of whom are no longer there, which is telling. I'm not sure what's going with them, but I have found it very difficult to get them to even answer the phone or return calls. I've been trying to reach them about getting my contact lens prescription right. That's a whole other story but I won't digress. Their original contact fitter left and didn't leave any notes, and Natalie, the lady I have been working with, isn't permanent. Had cataract surgery and the first surgery for the left eye went fine with the correct distance lens.As for my the right eye, the incorrect lens was placed. I were to have distance lens for both eyes, but the lens for the right eye is for near vision. They apologize and said there was nothing the did wrong and that they followed their normal procedure,but I have the wrong lens in my right eye and my overall vision is less than what it was prior to having the right eye done. I sent a complaint to them and asked for someone to contact me but to date no one as reached out to me. I am very disappointed that no one has contacted me. At my follow up visit an option for laser surgery was mentioned to get the vision I wanted. This would be an additional procedure and if I prove to be a candidate for laser, I definitely shouldn't have to pay for it. The laser appointment evaluation is in June so for 3.5 months my vision isn't what it shoul be because of the near vision lens placed in my right eye. I should be compensated for the decreased vision I'm experiencing from February to June. I am frustrated and disappointed because all I got was an apology and they did do anything wrong. I did arrive late for surgery but after the laser treatment the cataract fell onto my retina and had to go back 3 days later, have it irrigated and aspirated out then they could put in the new lens. Follow up three days later the lens had rotated and had to have another lens put in in a month. I'm not a fan! read more

I've personally never had an issue. Dr. Panda is great, same with Dr. Guttierez. However, my wife went this week to get a routine eye exam at the new location in Cartersville. Her experience is the polar opposite of what I have experienced. The first technician who worked with her got her information and looked at her current glasses and left for the doctor to come in. The doctor came and saw her, did the typical evaluation, suggested she get progressive lenses, and my wife replied that she already had them. The doctor was like, "oh, ok," and kept going. There was a different tech with the doctor during the exam, not the one who originally took my wife's info, so it appears that there is a lack of communication and continuity. When my wife mentioned she wanted to order glasses online rather than in store, the Doctor seemed disinterested in continuing and said for her to go see the person who fits the glasses to get her PD measurement. The doctor had pulled disposable sunglasses for her to have since they dilated her eyes, but never offered them to my wife, instead leaving them sitting on a desk. After getting her PD measurement, they again did not offer her any sunglasses and sent her to drive an hour home with dilated eyes. When my wife finally did get home and look at her prescription, it was far different than her prior prescription. Never has she had a prescription where the sphere and cylinder numbers were identical between her eyes, yet that was what was written on the paper. The ADD number needed for her to get progressive lenses was not filled out at all! How can she get the proper lenses if you don't fill out the prescription properly??? The doctor never mentioned the astigmatism in my wife's eyes to her, yet the notes in the patient portal noted discussing both the astigmatism and a potential for laser corrective surgery, both of which she did not discuss with my wife. Now we are having to pay out of pocket for a second eye exam at a different practice because the doctor who saw her did not fill out the full prescription. I'm not pleased that my wife had this experience. I will continue to see Dr. Panda for my dry eye, but this experience has soured my wife to ever using Marietta Eye again. read more

They are always so understanding and patient. I've been going here for over 25 years. I've had and bought glasses here, contacts, and finally had surgery on both eyes for cataracts and vision correction. I no longer need prescriptions for contacts or glasses and I had all my frames made into sunglasses for cheap! I now have rosacea in my eyes as well as my skin never knew it could be in your eyes so I have to get prescription eye drops. It goes to a special pharmacy. I see Dr,Cherof twice a year and she just changed my prescription to a cheaper one. She also gave me an oral antibiotic which I take every couple of months. It keeps it in check. I was getting huge stye like infections that would balloon up like a kid with pink eye. No longer!! Thank you guys! read more

I would say this review is for the Powder Springs location only. Staff are very friendly, and that's the only plus they have. I had to wait about 40 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. I forgot to ask what my eye pressures were, so I called that day and was on hold 20 minutes or longer, only to have a message taken. They said they'd call back but never did. I called the next day and was told they called me at 2:40pm the previous day, which was a lie because my call log had NO calls between noon and 5pm. They must have dialed wrong. I had asked that both my eye drop presecriptions be refilled but they were not, so I was also calling to remind them to send the Rx to my pharmacy. Again on day 2, I was on hold about 15 minutes when they hung up on me. I called back again and was told "please hold Ms. and added my last name" so they knew it was me. I stayed on hold again for almost 15 minutes then told myself this was ridiculous. Gee whiz, if you can't get something that simple handled, then maybe you need to hire like 10 more people to answer the phones. I figured I'd let my pharmacy call to get the refills. Maybe they'll have better luck than I did!! So glad when I left, that I made my appointment for a different location. read more

I visited for Cataract surgery - an experience that I found professional but not personal - It was like a factory procedure. I doubt the doctor saw me as an individual. On my recheck I was diagnosed with dry eye. It took forever for the staff to call in the prescription - to a private pharmacy. That pharmacy was very unorganized and when I called for a refill they denied it. I returned to MEC for a recheck and the doctor changed to 2 prescriptions but the office of MEC neglected to call them in until I called and reminded them. 4 days off work for 2 office visits and 2 planned surgeries they canceled. They blamed the surgery center in November 2024 and December 2024, stating they had a broken piece of equipment the first time and discriminating anesthesiologists the second time. The 1st time I wondered how they had been doing surgeries with broken equipment. The 2nd time I asked questions about the discrimination and then they turned it around on me. Bottom line, despite several 5 star reviews, I should have paid attention to the overall rating because businesses hire people to bury bad reviews. My son is upset and devastated that he couldn't have straight eyes and better vision for Christmas and he still doesn't comprehend the discrimination. He has cried and cried. I took my mother in for a routine follow-up visit. Her appointment was at 8:55, I pulled up at 8:58. She was told that she would need to come back because she was late. She had to redo her entire information on the computer. How many 85 year old can fill out information on the computer in a few minutes? I had clear lens replacement where they replace your eye lenses with Marietta Eye Clinic back approx. in 2022. I was told when I was sold the package that I would probably not wear glasses with almost perfect eye sight and I would never have cataract issues in my life. Dr Cohen was my doctor and he is very nice but now my reading ability is worse thane before they were replaced. He went and replaced one because the script they used was so far off and vision was horrible but he ended up using a different manufacturer lens which now the issue when it comes to reading. I went to another Optometrist for a second opinion and they asked why the other doctor put in a different lens instead of correcting the script with the same lens. I have no idea. I do know I have a few friends that had the same lens replacement and they see almost perfectly. After the operation I was by those several friends don't go to Marietta Eye Clinic. They are horrible. I have been meaning to writ this review for a few years but hesitated as I had hoped it would have gotten better. It has not! If they would replace the lens they replaced with a different manufacture lens with the same they started with that would make it right. Absolutely awful experience. I originally called asking if they specialize in BVD and I told them I don't need a regular eye exam, and needed an eye doctor who specializes in that up front. I was told by the lady who scheduled my appointment that that they do and they could help me with it. I paid the $215 upfront, only have my exam done and when the doctor came in and I asked about BVD she asked "what's that" by the DOCTOR AFTER I had another routine exam that I did NOT NEED, and then was told "sorry I don't specialize in that" and to look somewhere else. I waited OVER AN HOUR in the exam room and the entire time all I could hear were the techs outside the door at their stations talking very poorly of their clients. I requested a full refund of my visit due to I ASKED UPFRONT if they specialized in what I needed and was TOLD THEY DO, and I got 0 response from anyone and it's now been 6 days. I have inquired TWICE now and completely ignored. It's not fair to charge someone over $200 when they specifically called to ask if they specialized in an area, then tell the person that they do and take their money from them, and turn around and say "sorry can't help you" and then refuse to even give a slight considerate response OR explanation. read more

Three weeks out but didn't make much of it at the time. Three business days before the appointment, they contact me to let me know they are canceling my appointment because they were overbooked - not sure how that happens. I call to reschedule and spoke with Kasual Williams, who told me the next available time they had was now March 14th - five weeks away. I asked if they had anything earlier considering I had already waited 3 weeks before they canceled on me, but she was either unwilling or unable to help me. I'm not sure in what world this is normal. Horrible experience with this office. I made an appointment with the office last Friday and explained that my husband was being referred because he was diagnosed with cataracts. We showed up for the appointment this morning to find out that they scheduled him for a routine eye exam, not a cataract consult with an M.D. They would be able to inconvenience us again on February 16th. I spoke to the front desk manager, Neneh and while she was apologetic, she was not able to assist with making an appointment that would better suit our schedule. I asked her to call me with an appointment that was first thing in the morning but have not heard back from her. After reaching my office I received an email that my HSA had been charged for the office visit that we didn't have. I called their billing office and was told that my account would be credited and when I asked to be transferred to the front desk manager, they put me on hold and then disconnected me. I have since called another physician that has a more competent staff and offered more flexibility with their schedule and have much better reviews. I used to take my father to this clinic for his macular degeneration a few years ago and I recall them having scheduling problems and LONG waits for appointments. So I was very troubled over making an appointment here after reading reviews. Even considered not going. However, I went anyway and my expectations were very low. But I was pleasantly surprised with the medical / ophthalmology side. It's the optometry side where things go to you know where. I would give Dr. Ho and his tech, Ally (I think), 5 stars...10 stars if I could. But since I can only rate on the entire business, I could only go 4 stars. My 8 year old son has Duanes syndrome. Therefore, I called to make the appointment as medical and the scheduler was short and curt and told me he was no longer pediatric and they needed vision insurance. Not thinking it completely through, I said okay, and gave her our vision insurance policy. Red flag #1. Before that, I tried to make an appointment online which said I'd get a call back within 24 hours...never happened. Red flag #2. But I went anyway (after calling back and explaining to a different, very nice, understanding lady that this would be a a medical visit) and Dr. Ho and his tech were great. They were very patient and took the extra time to inform more about Duanes syndrome and test my 8 year old. My son really wants contacts. While we all agree he might not be ready, he is determined and Dr. Ho said he leaves that up to parent. Very cool. Shows he respects that (most) parents know their kids best. Very happy with him! But then it quickly went downhill on the other side. Knowing that contacts are questionable for an 8 year old, we were also going to purchase new frames as a backup. We signed in and the contact lens lady came to get us and took us into a room and said "No, we will not give contacts to an 8 year old." I told her that Dr. Ho just approved it. She told me she had "been doing this for 25 years and they don't give contacts to an 8 year old." Totally disrespected the doctor in their own office. So now I see the problem and the disconnect that's causing the negative reviews. So we left...no frames either. We will go elsewhere. But will definitely go back to see Dr. Ho and his staff. I had my eyes examined in June to my surprise the eye exam was $456. I handed in my insurance card unfortunately my insurance company only paid $50. I was billed and additional $250. December I received a bill for an additional$66.58. I called to inquire why I was charged the additional amount. I highly recommend Dr. Jiang at Marietta Eye Clinic. Having moved to east Cobb last year one of first things I did was find an eye doctor since I have a strong family history of eye problems. Scheduling at the clinic set me up with Dr. Jiang who is a glaucoma specialist. I did not realize that doctors specialized in glaucoma treatment even though my prior eye clinic is well known. Dr. Jiang has been great in treating my eyes. I recently had cataract surgery along with a glaucoma procedure. I am excited about my improving vision and Dr. Jiang and the rest of the staff at Marietta Eye Clinic have been very supportive throughout this process. read more

I definitely should have read the reviews before coming here. Same experience with extremely long wait time..3hrs for first appointment and 3 1/2 for second appointment. The second time I came in I was the second appointment of the day and it still took that long. I ordered glasses and contacts here and in the glasses department I dealt with a very nice lady who was extremely fast and helpful. I then had to "check in" for contacts. They were EXTREMELY unorganized and the doctor saw I was waiting so he came over and helped me himself because the man and women working the desk were standing around and checking the off their lists on who was next. The doctor seemed annoyed with how slow they were. He knew I had been there forever and needed to go. When I came to pick up my contacts.. the lady behind the desk didn't look over and acted like she was looking for something and pulled out a tissue and acted as if she still didn't see me to blow her nose. Then she looked up and said how she didn't know I was standing there waiting and to sign in. I said I needed to just pickup contacts. She was aggravated and rude. She said they called a couple days ago to come pickup the contacts. I told her I was out of town during that time and got back yesterday. Then my glasses were ready and I went to pick them up after three weeks. (They has broken the first pair) The same lady who I got my contacts from was there and again told me to "sign in" to just grab my glasses. I spoke to a women over the phone and asked her I I could just come in and grab them.. she said yes and there would be no wait. The lady at the back again extremely rude and said others were there already and I needed to wait to make sure the glasses fit and needed readjustment. I have been wearing glasses for 20years and know how to adjust and fix my own glasses. It was not a major concern for me and just wanted to grab and go. Needless to say, this is NOT the office for anyone who doesn't have major time on their hands to wait around. She has had a treatment in which she lost eyesight in one eye at this facility and was concerned about losing vision in her other eye. I arrive and am told to check myself in using a computer- including entering my insurance info. I worked in insurance for years so I know I entered it correctly but I looked around the room and saw nothing but elderly people and couldn't help but wonder how badly they all butchered check in. I had mixed feelings about it-one hand they seemed to be cutting edge but on the other hand I chose this practice because I wanted a better friendlier experience than a big chain. That didn't happen. After a 20 min wait I was called by the OD assistant who started doing all of my testing. I thought hmm weird but then thought that maybe these were super easy tests. Then she did my actual vision test- the one that decides my RX. Didn't appreciate that. Next, I waited for 90 min for the OD to see me. I could hear them celebrating birthdays next door to me. How unprofessional! See me for the three minutes you did and then celebrate birthdays! This was my last day at work and I was well over an hour late for MY celebration! I finally had to call the office, let them know long I've been waiting and I expected someone to come to see me as soon as possible. The OD finally came in and did t apologize for the ridiculous wait. He then spent 3 minutes looking at my eyes, wrote me an RX for glasses and eyed drops. Next, I head to the optical retails side to pick out my glasses only to have them tell nether don't take my insurance. Per my insurance company they do. Why didn't they tell me upfront. Why did the OD take my insurance but but not the retail side? I was beyond livid at that point. I then went to chain and got an amazing pair of coach glasses for $112! We've visited this location twice now for a pediatric ophthalmologist. The doctor was fine, but what bothers me most is the unreasonable wait time -- especially for early morning appointments. I would estimate my child received about 10 total minutes of actual care, and that was even split between an assistant and the doctor. The problem is that we are there for 2 hours each visit, mostly being shuffled between waiting rooms. It appears to be normal operating procedure vs. an anomaly. Went to this office yesterday for the first time. The check in was easy. The kiosk check in was super easy too, and if I had questions, someone was at the desk a few feet behind me to help. This is my husband's review, I actually have fabulous eye insurance! If you're thinking about using this place, don't. All of the reviews of the Canton location will tell you everything you need to know. The visit with the eye doctor was fine, I didn't have a wait time problem like many of the other reviewers. Afterwards I picked out frames with the help of Jodi and ordered them, 12:30 at the latest. She told me 7-10 days, longer than I've ever heard of. Thinking about the frames while I was at work, I decided to cancel the order because they weren't exactly what I wanted. I called them back around 4:15, spoke with Rachel and asked about canceling my order. I specifically mentioned the 20% restocking fee written on the receipt, and asked if they had started making the lenses. She said she would check and put me on hold, a few minutes later she said they had not and could cancel my order without any fee. She said the money would go back on to my credit card and she would mail me a receipt. I thanked her and thought that was it. 4:33 rolls around and my cell phone rings, it's Jodi at the office. She wanted to confirm I was canceling my order, I said yes. She said there is a 20% restocking fee that she has to charge because they had started making the lenses. Wait, what? I said I just spoke with Rachel a few minutes ago and she said no lenses yet so no restocking fee. Jodi says she was mistaken. How do you get that wrong? Are you making 1000s of lenses back there? Did the elves have a mix-up at the factory and push my order to the front, right after I called to cancel? I'm heated at this point, so I say fine. She tosses out the company policy bit and it being on the bottom of the receipt and asks if she can help me with anything else. I think you've done more than enough. I had to stop by the next day to get a copy of my prescription because they did not give it to me during my initial visit. It's not the money I'm griping about ($56), it's the bait and switch. Someone is not telling the truth about those magical lenses that suddenly were being made, but I'll never know. Avoid like the plague. read more

Met with Dr. Ho (3 hour process) and his suggestion was to meet with his partner for a lasik consult!!! If I've already seen two doctors for lasik and they have said I need cataract surgery why on earth would I be sent to see his "partner" for lasik???? Total waste of my time. He didn't even suggest any glasses, contacts or anything in the meantime, just another lasik consult. The actual visit itself wasn't bad had no problems scheduling contrary to many reviews I read. HOWEVER they have sent me three bills where they never billed my insurance. I called the insurance company to figure out why the procedures weren't covered and they had no claim submitted whatsoever from this practice. I've been trying to call for over a month and can't get anyone to answer the phone. I sit on hold for almost 2 minutes then the line hangs up. Every now and then I'll get an automated message giving 2 options, contacts or glasses, neither of which applies to my issue. I don't understand how they can still be in business with absolutely no one answering the phones. Absolutely unacceptable when you're sending me bills still, which I'm sure will eventually be sent to collections and it should have been covered by my insurance. I arrived at 8:35 for my 8:45 appt, wasn't seen by the first round of staff until 9:40, and didn't see the actual doctor until 10:40 and didn't check out until 11:00. Today's experience is pretty consistent with prior visits. Also, my wife had her exam three weeks prior and her in/out time was 2.5 hours. I hate giving negative reviews, but as I was waiting, I read other reviews that hit on the same problem, so I wanted to share mine in hopes that they continue to hear from their customers on a problem that needs to be addressed. I just don't understand how I can go to my primary physician and have a full physical and lab work in 1/3 the time it takes for an eye exam. read more
