Parking is a bit difficult - figure on walking a half block or more after finding legal curb space.

Brought to life by Paul Kulak, a local indie thoughtful big in stature and heart man whose love of music, sound and visuals brought this space in to existence at the tail end of the 1990s. A space for musicians to thrive, from grammy winners to new to expressing their gifts. I've passed the Woodshed many times in my 15 years in the SFV, but only recently started to enjoy it including their live webcasts and concerts via Facebook Live. Offering greatness on Laurel Canyon between Magnolia Blvd/Weddington Street, mere steps aways from my favorite local art supply store Carter Sexton. It's in a of creativity, expression and artistic joy. Check out their Mondays, musicians can sign up by 7pm for Singer/Songwriter Open Mic. Mostly supported by Paul's hard work, incredible volunteers and audience donations. It's an all welcoming, all ages, all genres and styles of music space. Beverages, snacks and conversations are all self served. Pet friendly environment, but good to be mindful others especially with allergies. Street parking is your friend, though if you don't mind a stroll parking a little further can be easier especially at night, rideshare or even metro as it's less than half a mile from the nearest station. We got to the bottom of the hill at 6:10 for a 6:30 show and it took 30min to slowly creep up the hill to the parking lot. They only let 1 car at at time in so we missed some of the show. They start right on time as shows end on the early side to avoid disturbing the neighborhood. Get ready for walking (unless you like long lines for the shuttle bus) as everything is uphill.

We parked about a half mile away and a public lot by the West Hollywood library, parking was only 12 bucks and it was a nice short walk to the venue and no traffic getting g out when we left the show. The event was sold out, and we got there right when doors opened. The line out front was not too long and security kept everybody moving really quick. Full bar and food inside. The main room is tiny, so anywhere you stand you will have a great view of the performers. I definitely plan to come back to see another show here, wish I had caught shows here in the past... We thought we were so lucky by standing by the stage but then one of the workers tells us we need to move because it was cleary handicap and we did. The manager a female came to yell at me and my son along with a father who was there with his autistic son and a young lady visiting from Nashville. We were told that once show starts and no one uses space we can return to our spots. Opener came on and we moved to our spaces but then we were told only four guests had permission to stand in those areas. A lady who had shown up with her babe and the father and son. The lady got loud with me as if she was there prior to my son and I, like lady it is not that serious and I have a child! Other than the terrible experience with customer service it was an epic show. Blake Whiten even handed my son a guitar pick he used which was super awesome for his first experience at a concert!

The sauces were very good and I loved that part of the restaurant. It was pretty quite and calm atmosphere. They have a full bar. The bill came and it was $200 plus tip. My kids had a kids plate and another adult plate. It's pricey. We didn't want to go to a chain to support our local spots. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. I went to a small concert at the iHeartRadio Theater for kpop solo artist Yulee ~ she was…read morephenomenal! From the outside, iHeart just looks like another office building in Burbank. But inside is a 20,000-square-foot live concert venue decked out for small, private shows. It's an epic location to see an artist you like with 400 of your closest friends. Fun Fact: This is where Jay Leno taped his long running The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. These days though, it's invite only to exclusive events from iHeartRadio. The process getting into one of these mini-shows can be slow and if it's sunny & hot out, very dehydrating. However, the staff is very friendly and informative trying to make the best of things. They have a paid parking lot for about $15 and it gets wild during shows. I like getting there super early and trying to find free street spots. Although last time I was there, someone smashed into the back of my parked car & ran so honestly, maybe the safer, paid lot is best when coming here. Overall, an intimate concert space that is great for watching artists you're a fan of.

It was also my first time seeing JoJo (on the radio). Whenever I'm listening to KIIS FM, I always wonder what radio MCs look like. LOL. Side note - I want to give a heads up about parking. The email confirmation suggested parking at a building structure where Morton Steakhouse is located, but this turned out to be a MISTAKE. The parking structure only accepts cash, and it costs $12.50. Luckily, I had it ready thanks to the email. Second, there is only ONE PARKING GATE to leave this structure. It moves slow and there are two lanes that merge to the gate. You're in a better situation to park your car blocks away from the theater then to park here and be stuck.

The place was already half full, but the food came fast, and our server Camilla was attentive and courteous. This is a little gem in Los Angeles. I enjoy going to the Hollywood Bowl, but this is a whole another way to enjoy live music in Los Angeles

If you have table-seating tickets, it's first come, first served. I arrived about 15 minutes before opening, which I'd say is plenty of time to get a good seat. Just be prepared for the tables to be very cramped, especially directly in front of the stage. You're essentially shoulder-to-shoulder with your neighbor, so you might as well get acquainted. It can also be a little uncomfortable turning your head to watch the stage from some seats. Since I arrived early, I decided to check out the food. Honestly, do yourself a favor and eat beforehand. The food is overpriced and pretty average. If you do plan to order, getting there early makes it much easier since you can place your order before things get busy and they can clear the plates right away. The seating definitely has its drawbacks, but the band was absolutely amazing. The music and performance were the highlight of the night. Parking is at 1400 Ivar Avenue in a structure. If you purchased parking ahead of time, bring your parking ticket from the structure into the venue and once they scan the parking that was emailed to you they'll validate that structure ticket for you.
