We ordered the smash burger and pizza, which you pick up when you get a text notification. We ordered our cocktails at the bar. There was only one bartender, but she kept the line moving. Kudos to her! The venue has two levels. The restaurant/bar is the top level, and the stage/bar is the bottom level. We watched and danced the night away on the bottom level. The stage is elevated, so you have a good view from anywhere.

The lounge upstairs is accessible from the outside so you can visit even if you aren't going to the show, and WOW is it stunning! The outdoor seating area is well lit, parking is within a few steps of the front door, and the bathrooms are clean and tidy. The bar is GORGEOUS and there are two! One upstairs and one downstairs. The balcony area has my favorite feature--- RISERS against the back wall for us short ladies! :-D There is also a food stand outside for late night bites. As a side note, I have visited the two other venues that this company owns and have been thoroughly impressed each time. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Cool new venue for live performances in DTLA…read more Came here a few months ago to check out a free concert. It's a brand-new space with some cool aesthetic touches, like the wooden sculptural features on either side of the stage. Images of old rock show flyers decorated the main interior walls. Bartenders were cool and the drink prices weren't too bad. Speaking of drinks, I'm a fan of their frozen pina coladas. Their patio was really nice, with lots of seating, string lights, and cool murals. At the far end of said patio was their on-site food vendor, Badmaash, a well-known DTLA Indian fusion joint. They had a very limited menu but did have a couple of veg items. The hubby and I shared an order of masala fries, which we thought were very tasty. The concert was great, and we really enjoyed ourselves. As for parking, there was a $15 lot close by, which isn't a bad deal at all, but we were able to find street parking since we got there early. If we see any other acts we like come through we'd definitely come back.

It's a 5 minute walk, but it was an intense one. On my way from the parking lot to the venue, I didn't realize the venue was on the left side of the street. I didn't jaywalk, and went to the stop light to walk across. The bus stop lets off on the right side of the street, and there were random people either hanging out(?) in chairs and such on the sidewalk. I was fine, but the walk was a bit stressful. There's a parking lot directly across from the venue and I think it's $30, if you are alone that would be a better choice. But it's manageable. ADA: I didn't see any chairs whatsoever, it's standing room only and did not see anyone using a wheelchair or mobility tool. It would be difficult to see if you're in a wheelchair from the back. The front may work. The restrooms are located on the left side of the venue so there's a lot of people walking to get there. I saw a lot of people standing by the wall on the left side, so in that area towards the front may work. Smoking: They have a small smoking area outside. There's only one way in/out so if people are closer towards the entrance you'll have to excuse yourself to get past them and go back inside. Sound: I wore earplugs, but the sound quality was great!!

I read one review stating parking was at the church across the street, but it's more across and up the street, on Roselake Ave. The area looks sketch so don't waste time circling the block for parking. The venue itself has one small, theater style, seating section. I'd compare it to a small/independent play house. For this event either you stood on the floor the entire time or you were sitting in the seats facing the stage. This was such a vibe especially standing around the band on the floor. The staff (one tall guy with a beard) were very cool and kindly told people that it was standing room only on the floor. Also, the bartenders were very chill and made the experience a pleasantly memorable one. I would definitely come back for more events in the future.

We usually sit on the lawn but got third row seats this time. PRO TIPS -- they are hard benches -- so bring cushions. Bring your own beer/wine and food as the concession stand is SUPER EXPENSIVE. $18.00 for a Modelo on tap! GET THERE EARLY! We got to the bottom of the hill at 6:10 for a 6:30 show and it took 30min to slowly creep up the hill to the parking lot. They only let 1 car at at time in so we missed some of the show. They start right on time as shows end on the early side to avoid disturbing the neighborhood. Get ready for walking (unless you like long lines for the shuttle bus) as everything is uphill.

I was assaulted as I attended the Urban X Awards 2025 at the Regent Theater and had an extremely…read moredisturbing experience involving Scott Williams and the Regent Theater's security. I was filming from what I understood to be public property, and I have the entire incident on video. Scott Williams called for security, and five male security personnel came out and put their hands on me, a woman, rather than first communicating with me or following an appropriate de-escalation protocol. My size is completely irrelevant. Five men physically confronting and putting their hands on one woman is unacceptable, especially when the situation could have been handled through communication. At one point, a white man had to poke his head over the door and tell security, "Get your hands off of her, she has a right to film here." That moment is also part of what I documented. I believe the Regent Theater needs to seriously examine its security practices, training, and policies regarding women and people who are filming. I am preserving the video and documentation of this incident and am exploring legal action against the parties involved. If you are a woman attending an event here, please be aware of what happened to me and consider coming prepared to advocate for and protect yourself. Regent Theater, this should never have happened.
