Sadly. The worst decision of my life. I've thought about this every single day, had so much resentment and heartbreak in my heart. I paid for marines flight, hotel and gave her something like 2-3K to only do my make up for my wedding. She didn't have to do anyone else's make up , I figured this is my day she will make me look beautiful. She was not happy at all when she got there, was not giving off positive energy which isn't like her. She made me look uglier than I had ever looked in my ENTIRE LIFE. I cried for months, couldn't look at my wedding pictures, and refused to watch my wedding video because of how terrible she did my make up. Single handedly the worst decision of my life was having her do my bridal make up. I should of known when I didn't like my trial but had faith the day of my wedding I would look better. I liked her as a person , but I don't know anymore. It's a traumatizing situation that will haunt me for years to come until hopefully I get to celebrate an anniversary and have some better pictures. I often will bring in a photo of a look I would like and she is able to get it down perfectly. She takes her time and makes sure you look flawless before she lets you leave her chair. When I walked into the salon, she was just starting another woman's hair. She then unapologetically asked me to wait another 45 more until she finished her walk-ins hair. I had a blowout done with Suzy for this weekend and couldn't have been happier that I went by her! I have long and heavy natural hair, which never holds up, but this time was an exception. My hair lasted all weekend, after it was exposed to the wind and sun( on the boat at Marina del Rey), then followed by dancing the night away at the restaurant for a birthday event. I was warmly welcomed by Lucy and loved her instantly! She's super talented, easy to talk to and she just gets it when it comes to glam, facial structures and how to bring out the best in a persons features. My eye makeup has never been so on point! My favorite part of the experience was interacting with Marine as well, who is Lucy's sister and the owner of the studio. I have been going to Marina ever since I first started doing my brows at age 14. She is the kindest, most professional, and considerate person I have ever gone to in the beauty industry. She is ALWAYS on time when it comes to starting her clients at their appointment time and ALWAYS tries to accommodate those who are late, even though they missed their appointment time. I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for her to start on me. She does a very clean job with your brows-you will never find any stray hairs when it's done by her. She does both threading and waxing-whatever your personal preference is. She carefully listens to how you want your brows done and does it exactly how you want it! I don't know how but she always does! I like mine to be thicker and with a nice arch and she truly delivers! My eyebrows always look sexy and amazing when I leave that salon. I have people stop me on the street to ask me where I get my brows done, and I continuously get compliments from friends as well as strangers. She is also very knowledgeable and offers advice when needed. She never tries to sell you anything and only does what you ask, which is a huge plus for me because everyone in the beauty industry always tries to talk you into buying other services. If you ask her about a service, she will give you legitimate advice and will even tell you if it's something that's not worth doing. I have also gone to her for make-up as well as eyelash extensions and she is truly a talent in all categories! One of my friends recommended a stylist at this salon and after much hesitation I booked an appointment with Vrej. I went in for a color touch up and haircut and blowout. He was extremely professional, knew what I wanted and did it precisely in a small amount of time. I think he mixed three colors to get the exact touchup color that I needed which was amazing. I have gone to many stylists to try to figure out what the right color for me is and he managed to figure it out in just one sitting. My blowout lasted me for three days and it looked amazing.
