Decided to pick up dinner and was at DR - I sat at the bar and placed a to go order. One of my favorite dishes is beef carpaccio. I ordered that while I waited for my to go food. It was delicious. We dined on a Saturday night and sat outside on the patio. It was hi-top seating near the bar. The bar looked like an inviting place to sit as well. Our server Dahlia was very friendly, attentive and had a great personality. She offered some good menu recommendations. We all ordered martinis. I forgot to ask for the martinis to be served ice cold as most bars simply don't. We were happy to receive all the martinis with ice floating on the top and filled to the rim. Kudos to the bartender for getting it right! For an appetizer, we ordered the crispy artichoke with a lemon aioli. They were tasty and definitely crispy. For dinner, we ordered the Vodka Parmigiana with mozzarella smothered crispy chicken breast served with spaghetti and house vodka sauce. It was very, very good. Crispy chicken and great flavor. For the salad we ordered the Burrata Caprese with balsamic-glazed tomatoes, basil, crostini. I added Prosciutto. It was good but the burrata was more like a mozzarella ball instead of burrata. Our friends ordered the Short Rib Ravioli with shredded short rib, fried leeks, port wine reduction, porcini cream sauce. They said it was delicious. The problem with this restaurant is the atmosphere. It is essentially one big room with uninspired decor. We had reservations and there were 2 other tables seated, and they put us a booth RIGHT by the front door with absolutely no privacy. We felt like we were on display and it was impossible to have a conversation. Every table in the place is like that - crowded together with absolutely no separation. So I was driving the other day and I figured I stop for a cocktail and a quick little nibble...and with the help of Yelp; kinda...lol so this place will be another one to be added to the list... Finding this location was different. But in a good way. I actually thought I was going to another place and I couldn't find it and then seen this place just sitting in the vicinity of what I was looking for...while, this is a place to come and check out. We stopped in at Marino's for happy hour. This was our first experience and definitely will not be our last. From start to finish, everything was excellent. After a couple beers, we ordered some happy hour food. We definitely over ordered but everything was delicious. We had the marinated olives, meatballs, and order of focaccia, calamari, and fried artichokes. Usually there's a dish that stands out, but in this case, there were at least three stand out dishes. The focaccia was fluffy and light, the calamari was tender and lightly fried, and finally, the artichoke hearts with lemon aïoli were absolutely delicious. We kicked off our Sip & Stroll day at Mariano's with a round of cocktails with Christian, who was not only friendly but clearly very intelligent about his craft. Great demeanor, great recommendations. Strawberry Fields (vodka, strawberries, mint, lemon, prosecco) - Light, refreshing, and nicely tart from the fresh strawberries. Not overly sweet, really well balanced. Amarillo (reposado, amaretto, espresso, orange peel, salt, espresso beans) - Much lighter than I expected for a coffee cocktail. The amaretto comes through pretty strongly, which worked for me. I wasn't sold on the first sip, but by the end I would've ordered a second. Pomcello-tini (vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, limoncello, pomegranate juice) - Slightly sweeter than the Strawberry Fields but still balanced. Probably my favorite of the day. Rosa Spritz (Lillet Rosa, prosecco, grapefruit, rosemary) - Very dry and mostly just tasted like prosecco. Pretty bland for the price and not something I'd order again. read more

My husband had the beef short rib and mashed parsnips and said it was delicious I ordered the peppardelle bolognese which was tasty but dry and not very hot...... good but not outstanding. We started with some prosciutto. My desert was strawberry zabaglione which was delicious and my husband completed his meal with vanilla bean gelato with espresso. I enjoyed every bit of my experience at Marino's from the moment I entered until finished. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and seated at a comfortable table. My only issue, and I'm not holding it against the restaurant, is directly behind the row of tables where I was seated is a row of booths on a higher seating level. Some patron sitting above and behind me draped his arm over the separation and dragged it across my head. That's how close the seating is to the booths and tables. Rather than arguing I just changed tables. This was not the fault of the restaurant, but it left me very annoyed. The chopped salad had an amazing blend of lettuce and spices that truly gave the dish a unique flavor. I definitely recommend this salad to anyone who dines here. The linguine and clams was a bit on the spicy side. Not too spicy, clearly a unique flavor that I enjoyed. Some people might find the spices a bit overpowering so it's up to the individual taste. I'd eat it again, so consider me a fan. My waitress was really great. Checking regularly on my satisfaction and spacing the dishes out with excellent timing. The restaurant is in an outdoor mall so parking was important. The parking lot is huge and easy to find a space. I'd be surprised if the lot as ever totally full. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It was flavorful and unique. The distinctive taste and excellent presentations make this restaurant a stand out. read more

We've been to Marinos in Desert Ridge a few times...for lunch, dinner, and for happy hour. The food is always good and the restaurant feels light and airy. They've changed the menu a few times and taken off a few of our favorites for some reason. We loved the seafood linguine, marinated olives, kale salad, and fig pizza, all no longer on the menu, boo! A few months ago they changed their Burrata Caprese to this Citrus Onion Burrata that wasn't very good and served it without any bread or Crostinis, it just fell flat. I noticed recently they changed it back to the Burrata Caprese, Thank you!!! That we enjoy! We like their Meat and Cheese board, Truffle Mushroom pizza, and my daughter likes the Pasta Alla Vodka, all still on the menu. During happy hour they have a deal where you can get their Meat and Cheese board and a bottle of house red or white wine for $38 in the bar area!! They added some new things I'm curious to try like their Lox Pizza - everything crust, smoked salmon, crème fraiche, capers, red onion, and fresh dill! Sounds so interesting for someone who loves lox and bagels. We will be back to try that and few other things. Just hope they stick with this menu and only add new things and stop taking off good things. read more

We had a wonderful experience for dinner. There were four of us and our waiter was very attentive, warm and friendly. My pesto tortellini with chicken was wonderful. The flavor was rich and had depth. All of us enjoyed our cocktails as well. The espresso martini is to die for, but two at our table raved over the biscotti martini. Where shall I begin? menu is very limited not a lot of entree choices. Hubby and I shared caprese salad which was very disappointing the tomatoes were roasted no fresh tomatoes as it's known for. We ordered a mocktail and a strawberry fields worse drink I've had in a restaurant bitter and flavorless. We shared the bolognese since we didn't want to order 2 entrees and be disappointed which was exactly what happened, worst pasta dish ever well if you like Chef Boyardi you will find this dish delightful. Didn't even order dessert which we always do but after the bad taste lest in our mouth we had to pass. Everything we ordered was delicious: the appetizers, the cocktails, and the entrees. The short rib entree and the ravioli are so dang good. The ends are nice and crispy and the meat has amazing flavor. We also got the burrata for an app and I was surprised that there was no bread provided with that, just fruit, but it was such a refreshing adaptation from what you normally see. The meatballs were fantastic, and the bruschetta was very fresh and tasty too. Our server was incredibly attentive and helpful during our visit and was on top of our refills, which I really appreciate. There is a nice wrap around patio with some great foliage, and a nice wrap around bar with plenty of seating. Today we had lunch here. Everything was fantastic, the food and the service. I didn't get did pictures sorry we were so hungry. But we had chicken with mushrooms in and Alfredo Sauce. Plus a ceaser Salad. The salad was really delicious. We ordered a pepperoni pizza to take back to the hotel.. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Super sweet. The Ambiance at this place was very pleasant for lunch. Very beautiful inside and out. We talked to our lyft driver and she said that place is very new to the area. It's not even been about a month. This is our second time eating at Marino's and the food was still delicious! Our server Don is personable and engaging. Both times we've enjoyed the fried artichokes and smooth burrata cheese with tomatoes and fresh basil. For entrees we ordered the tender meatballs with ricotta, short rib/beef raviolis and pesto gnocchi both bursting with lots of flavor. Hopped in here to meet my girlfriend and bartender Riley was incredible, talk about a personality! Such a wonderful example of exceptional customer service, so fun and warm and welcoming! My girlfriend had the salmon and said it was amazing! It came with potatoes and asparagus. She also enjoyed the mocktail Nospresso martini and ended up with 2! So glad I stopped in here to meet her and meet the wonderful people that represent this establishment. I work close to desert ridge and have always come across this Italian place while stepping out for lunch! Finally we decided to try this place out. This upscale restaurant is located in the desert ridge mall and hard to miss. We went for a Monday lunch and they had good crowd. We were seated inside on the red couch which was cozy and nice. The aesthetics is great which modern, chic and very welcoming. I loved the photo mirror wall at the entrance overlooking the kitchen. They have a good seating space and can accomodate a big crowd. The lunch menu is great with pasta, pizza, salad, sandwiches and more. We went with vodka fusilloni alla vodka, Carbonara and the greek pizza. The service is quick which is great! The carbonara portion was a little less compared to others. The pizza is huge. The fusilloni alla vodka comes with chicken and it was great, very flavorful and tasted fantastic. My win for the lunch was the greek pizza, the toppings Of eggplant, olives, artichoke , feta blended well and it was a hit amongst us. The pricing however is on the higher side but it's with most Italian places. I will definitely come back for more! read more

Visited Marinos with a friend this week after being invited to visit the restaurant with yelp last year. The dishes we tried were so good so I couldn't wait to visit again. I ordered the Bolognese, which was fantastic. The pasta to sauce ratio was perfect and seasoned well. We also ordered the burrata and eggplant Parmesan to share. Both were great. We sat on the patio, which has a nice casual, yet sort of fancy vibe, and our server was super sweet and attentive. Another great yelp discovery! By far, one of the most delicious Italian-American restaurants I've ever been to. The food served here evokes something nostalgic, but with a modern twist. The restaurant itself is so warm and inviting, almost like you're visiting family. We visited on 08/29/25 and ordered the House Focaccia, Squash Blossoms, Bruschetta, and Fried Calamari to start. Then, we finished off with the Bolognese, Pasta alla Norcina, and another pasta they call The Works. Service is absolutely wonderful. Christian is the name of our server and he was incredibly attentive and communicative. We wanted for nothing and felt very well looked after. The food was absolutely incredible - every dish better than the last. If you order the bruschetta, ask for a side of pesto. You won't be disappointed. The pasta was cooked to Al dente perfection. The bolognese was so rich and flavorful. Now, I might get some side eye for my next comments but hear me out! The Pasta alla Norcina reminded me an elevated version of Hamburger Helper - and I mean that in the most respectful way possible. The dish is creamy, tasty, and has a lot of ground sausage which makes it match the texture of Hamburger Helper. The Works is a pasta that contains sliced meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni - all the delicious things you'd find in a Pizza Hut pasta. Now, this restaurant version is far superior but the similarity is still there. In any case, the Italian-inspired food is phenomenal and I can't wait for my next reservation. read more

My wife and I revisited Marino's last night for happy hour / dinner before our movie "Mercy" starring Chris Pratt (fabulous BTW). We were pleased with the taste of the food, but the portions for Happy Hour and the Salad were disappointing for what we considered one of our favorite Italian restaurants. The female server at the bar was also a disappointment due to her rather dismissive tone. That noticeably changed to cheerful after she noticed the head bartender knew us as regulars. I know bartender / servers are human with their own preoccupation or mindsets, but that should change to cheerful when they show up for work and expect a 20% tip. We may give Marino's another try, but not so enthusiastically. read more

Both bartenders were helpful and friendly, and we had time there for drinks and the asparagus with mushrooms to start. Excellent dish. When it came time to sit for dinner, we had already had a chance to consider the menu. They obviously do short rib really well, because it was already unavailable as a second dish. I had been considering it because I like it on polenta, so opted for the short rib ravioli. Oh, my, is it good! The porcini cream sauce is exquisite, the ravioli tender and delicious, as is the short rib. It's no wonder it's a favorite. My wife's cavetelli was also delightful. The Parmesan cream sauce is flavorful and robust without being heavy. Really fresh vegetables make it wonderful. Put Mariano's o your list if you're looking for great Italian food. read more

Upscale Italian restaurant with excellent service. Located at Desert Ridge. They have large comfy booths and a bar inside. We ordered few entrees. Their asparagus salad with mushrooms were really good. Big portion and there was option to add protein and make it a meal. The dressing was light and incredible. Their branzino was very light and had ton of interesting vegetables. It's completely deboned even though it looks like a whole fish. We just added a squeeze of a lemon and it was perfect. Their linguini in red sauce with seafood was good too. Big portion again. Lots of seafood including shrimp, squid, mussels and fish. We had a wonderful time at Marinos, the food was delicious (especially the crispy Brussels sprouts!) I loved my drink, it was the vintage cosmo and I liked that it didn't taste just like straight alcohol as many cosmos do. Short rib ravioli was great, very rich. After visiting the Musical Instrument Museum, the four of us went to lunch at Marino's Italian Kitchen. Two had the Chicken parmigiana, one with Vodka sauce and one with marinara sauce, the works (spaghetti, meatballs, Italian sausage, pepperoni, ricotta and mozzarella chunks) and chicken piccata with spaghetti.
