Came on a light Sunday for happy hour. Good service, tunes and food. If there is one fail it is the portions are a tad small. All the food was tasty and fresh, service with a smile but of course it was Sunday. Would come again even with the smaller than expected portions.

You guys have to check out Humble Oysters and Bubbles! It's so aesthetically pleasing and the food is off the charts! Our server Danny was a ray of sunshine! He guided us through the menu and gave us a fantastic experience! We also got to meet Tim the real MVP! Oyster are to die for (obvi). The mussels in green curry were my favorite! The bar has lots of seating. The restaurant is very spacious and we didn't have a long wait. This is an absolute must go to asap!

Halibut cheeks

Giving 5 stars and an honest review. The food was phenomenal. Came here for the first time for my birthday with some friends. We started with oysters and ceviche, both were delicious. My friends got the prime rib, Cajun pasta and I ordered the halibut cheeks. Everything was outstanding. Would definitely come back for the food. Now we had a young server who was very nice but forgot our drink orders twice. My friends enjoyed their whiskey and wine but I tried the margarita and a Paloma but was very disappointed. When mentioned to staff, he apologized but made no effort to rectify. Regardless the food was absolutely delightful and we enjoyed the French music. The atmosphere is pretty inviting as well.

We went at around 5:30 on Saturday evening for an early dinner and the place was already packed. The wait was around 20 minutes but the food here was so good, it was totally worth the wait! The Oysters come with Chojang sauce, which is the Korean chili sauce made out of Gochujang, and it pairs amazingly well with the Oysters. The pasta sauce of Cajun Shrimp Angel Hair was a total 10/10 too, we had to order some bread to scrape all the sauce out of the plate. Highly recommend!

Humble Oysters & Bubbles is such a fun, elevated spot -- from the moment you walk in, the East Coast-style décor and chic vibe set the tone, and the staff make the whole night feel easy and welcoming. Our server gave us a great bubbly rosé recommendation to kick things off, and it paired perfectly with the rest of our meal. We went all in on the oysters, and they were incredibly fresh -- exactly what you'd hope for at a place that specializes in them. Each one came out briny, buttery, and ice-cold, and it was fun to mix and match different flavor profiles. We also tried the tuna carpaccio. While it was still good, the caper sauce overpowered the tuna a bit, and I found myself wishing it had been beef instead -- more of a personal preference than a miss. After that, the Short Rib French Dip absolutely stole the show -- tender, juicy, and full of flavor, it was the kind of dish you don't expect at an oyster and bubbles bar but end up craving again. The balance of creative small plates, thoughtful recommendations, and the champagne and sparkling list makes this place really unique for the area. Between the oysters, bubbles, and cozy yet upscale vibe, it's definitely a spot I'd come back to for both casual nights out and special occasions.

Food and service were excellent. Coral provided excellent recommendations and loved it. We will definitely be back.

Lobster roll

Oysters and bubbles are among my favorites so I was very excited to try this place. First let me start with the positives. The drinks were great. The Champagne Sangria was amazing. The frozen champagne topper was so fun. Our friend had the Sazerac which he said was also well done. We ordered oysters off the daily menu as well as oyster bites. I'm a huge oyster fan but I was a little disappointed. The champagne vinaigrette and other accoutrements were sub par and not what I was expecting from an oyster place. Also they served these things in plastic cups with wooden disposable utensils. So weird since we are spending $4/oyster. You also had to ask for the items - otherwise you just got a plate of oysters. Was expecting things to be nicer. For dinner I had the lobster roll which was a total disappointment. There was not enough lemon sauce and our waiter never came back in time for me to ask for more. It's basically dry lobster on a large croissant. And the croissant is not even edible in the way it was presented to me. It's not like a sandwich. You just have to eat the lobster with a fork. Also weirdly another person in our party ordered the same thing and he received double the lobster I got so there's obvious inconsistency in the kitchen. How could you send out two dishes to the same table like that? My husband had the halibut cheeks which he said was ok but he wasn't that excited. Vibe was fun but as other people noted extremely loud. Our server was friendly but clearly distracted chatting with his friends. We didn't get one of the things we ordered and took repeated requests for other missing items like forks etc. They served one person in our party's dinner like ten minutes after everyone else which was also not cool when you are dropping $100/pp. (it was clear he just forgot about it). Even getting him to take the item he never brought off the bill took forever. Sometimes being friendly and funny is not enough. Wanted to love this place because I love oysters (and the cocktails were amazing) but we probably won't be back.

Oooh just love this place! Enjoyed great service by Brandis this visit! Enjoyed the 4 oyster bite happy hour special and Belgian waffle and caviar because why not! I was excited to see a non alcoholic bubbly on the menu. It is delicious! Highly recommend it all! My favorite oyster was the rose' (so zesty!) I definitely tasted a chili oil with the dumpling. Really tasty! The michelada was so deliciously limy. A tad spicy but great! The cucumber again so so zesty! My tastebuds are so happy! The waffle and caviar was not my favorite, BUT I don't have a sweet tooth so could just be me. I'm sure waffle and cream lovers would love it. And Chef Jorge is such a treat! So personable and fun to watch! And the Latin beats are so energizing!! Love it all!

Humble Oysters and Bubbles exceeded all expectations with their absolutely delicious oysters and perfectly curated happy hour. The ambiance was intimate and stylish, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy great food and drinks. The servers were warm, friendly, and went above and beyond--even crafting custom drinks not on the menu. We especially loved the bubbles and oysters during happy hour, which was both fun and well worth it. This gem combines exceptional service, great flavors, and a beautiful atmosphere--definitely a five-star experience!

Wow!! The atmosphere is sexy, classical, with an East Coast feel. The playlist felt nostalgic, although I was not born in the 1950s. But if I had, I feel like it would be the feeling. The decor is something straight out of the New York restaurant scene. The service was exceptional. All of our servers were really nice and attentive. Now for the food. We had the lobster bisque, which was very salty. But still really tasty. The lobster and shrimp salad was Hardy and really tasty. Then we had a dish, shrimp scampi. The sauce was delightful and a really nice portion. However, the lobster bisque was a bit salty. They still are five out of five for me and can't wait to go back. My friend had the short ribs, which were a nice portion. It was super tender and very flavorful. sorry I forgot to take pictures before we started to dig into the food.

Frozen Spritz

This place has been on my list for a while I was so glad I finally made it! We just did drinks and apps! And everything was lovely! Our server could not have been any sweeter, walked us through the whole menu! We each had a cocktail, I had the frozen spritz and really liked it! Then we did a 1/2 dozen oysters which were great. Their cocktail sauce kind of has an Asian flair and I personally loved it! Then we did the caviar pairings with Veuve and Belvedere which was a lovely little treat! The inside is really charming and makes you feel like you're on the east coast! .....Would be a great place to take company! Or just a nice little escape to feel like you're out of Arizona for a minute :)

Great service- we enjoyed an oyster flight with tons of different sauces, and the dirty martini was on point!

I've been to Humble bistro and wanted to check out the new oyster bar. The aesthetic is clean and modern with a bar in the center and booths along the walls. I made a reservation but they weren't able to find it. However a table was open so we were seated right away. The service was OUTSTANDING. Our server Mason was funny, polite, incredibly knowledgeable and took great care of us. I'm usually not the one who's talked into dessert but I could've sat there all night ordering food! I tried the oyster bites, the caviar oyster and the oyster shot. Everything was super fresh and just beautifully done. The oyster bites each came with a different sauce and each one was delicious. It was my first time trying caviar and WOW. I'm officially a caviar girlie. I also ordered the shrimp sliders and they were small but so flavorful. My friend order the 12 hour short rib and she cleaned the plate! We had the chocolate mousse for dessert, it was Rich and so decadent. The service alone is reason to visit here, but the reasonably priced seafood that was still so fresh and "fancy" is reason to come back 100x Great wine and drink menu (no $20 Phoenix drinks here!) I had the champagne sangria and it was soooo good. They will see me often!

I'm gonna give three stars because the service was great at the bar and the server was attentive outside and quick although she didn't know the menu well. I ordered the cheese plate to split with my children and no one knew what was on it when I asked, but I was later informed that I got a tomato jelly and honey mustard as the sauces. To me a $30 cheese plate would not come with a container of honey mustard so I was not impressed. When I asked what cheeses were on it they told me there was 2 different cheddars. There was no way it was a cheddar it was a very soft cheese. I believe it was a goat cheese. The almonds were probably the best part of the whole platter. My husband got wings, which were very big. He enjoyed those and the sauce, and my other daughter got meatballs, which she enjoyed, but thought they were a little spicy, I find that usually when kids order things that are spicy servers will say just so you know that has a little bit of heat to it to which the waitress did not again, I don't think she was very knowledgeable on the menu in general . This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

Located in Desert Ridge Marketplace, there's plenty of parking though it is a busy area. As someone who has been to speakeasies all over the world, there are certain things I look for so that it's an authentic experience. Sadly, as speakeasies have become a popular thing, some have opened that don't stay true to the historical roots of what a speakeasy is. Let's see how Pigtails fares (and note: they have another location downtown. Ambiance (4/5): Speakeasies popped up during the Prohibition Era when alcohol was illegal in the U.S. Since they were underground bars, there was no signage. You had to know where to go to find it. Which is part of the experience. There should be a creative way to get into a speakeasy. This is an area where Pigtails fails. While it's somewhat hidden, there's a neon sign that says Pigtails. Dead giveaway. You walk down a flight of stairs and that takes you to the bar. When you arrive, you'll see a central bar with bar stools surrounding it. With some nice booths on the exterior. Which is where I sat. The lighting could be a little darker (after all ambiance is one of the hallmarks of a speakeasy) and the music was a bit too loud, but outside of that, nicely done. Service (4.5/5): Friendly and mostly efficient service all-around. They fill up your water cup without you asking. They provide you with helpful recommendations. And there's free WiFi which you might need because my reception wasn't great underground. You pay using one of those hand-held electronic card readers which have become super popular. This may be a pet peeve of mine but I like to see an itemized receipt before I give you my credit card. Food (N/A): I don't think they have food, but if you're hungry, The Whining Pig is attached to Pigtails and they have food there. All it takes is a short walk down a hallway to get there. Drinks (4.5/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I'm not trying to see a margarita, mojito, gin & tonic, etc. I'm trying to see creative crack cocktails that blend an interesting group of ingredients. And this is what you'll find here. Despite several cocktails not being available, there was a ton on the menu that I wanted to try. I had three cocktails on this visit including Panic at the Disco (IYKYK), and one that was served in a clear tea cup with a huge ice cube (and earl gray tea was one of the ingredients). Exactly what I was hoping for. While the "Pigtails" signage outside of the speakeasy was disappointing, these rest of the experience was terrific.

I've passed by Blue Martini many of times. It always seems to be the most hype spot on High Street, a nice entertainment district in Desert Ridge. I finally took the plunge and checked it out on a Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. Parking is easy (and free) on the street, in the surface lots, or the garage on High Street. Ambiance (3.5/5): Blue Martini is definitely a bit bougie and caters to that audience. There's a nice outdoor patio which is where we sat since the weather was beautiful. There's a bar outside and waiter service. I briefly looked inside and there's a bar inside too, lounge sitting, and a dance floor. Blue Martini often has live music or a DJ. Definitely a spot where you can break it down on the dance floor. There's bottle service too if that's your thing. Service (2/5): Talk about slow service! It took our waitress longer than it should have for us to greet us. After placing an order for drinks, we received them promptly. After that we didn't see her again for quite a while. I wanted to order a second cocktail and she was nowhere to be found. Eventually she came around and I placed my order. I decided to close out right then and there knowing that it would take a long time to track her down to close out if I didn't do it right then and there. They also charge two fees amounting to 5%. Not sure what that's all about. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I just had drinks since I was there pretty late. I view Blue Martini as more of a drinks spot, but I can't comment on the food. They have a daily happy hour with discounts on select food items. Drinks (3.5/5): If the name isn't a dead giveaway, Blue Martini specializes in martinis. Beyond martinis, they have a large cocktail list. Plus everything else you'd find with a full bar. The drinks are a bit pricey (it is a see and be seen type of spot after all and you're likely to see old geezers pulling up in Lambos and Ferraris), but I liked the selection. I started off with the Blue Martini, their namesake. It's served with a blue glow stick. From there, I had the strawberry basil martini. Both were pretty good. Not speakeasy quality cocktails but better than your average bar for sure. While Blue Martini isn't really my scene, I can have a good time anywhere. If you're looking to turn up and dance, it's a good spot for that. And it's also elite for people watching.

The Mighty Axe, if the name didn't give it away, is both a bar and an axe throwing place. While I haven't done any axe throwing, I've checked out the area where it's located (the back of the bar). And there's even one outside on the small patio. Overall, one of my favorite bars on High Street (I live in Desert Ridge so I've frequented pretty much everywhere in the area).
